Hey, I'm in the process of creating my own signature and wondered if anyone could give me some tips on how to make it better!
Problem is I'm creating it in paint.net and it won't let me upload it! Any ideas?

Why won't it let you upload? You mean to this site? Save it as a jpg or png, then upload it to somewhere like www.imageshack.us then edit into your first post.
Once we see it, we'll be able to give feedback/suggestions ;)

You started by the end, first is background then stock pics and fonts. Altough it looks rather nice in it's simplicity.

The triforce looks slightly off centre (although it actually isn't) and you're in need of a border and change in background colour.
Otherwise... pretty good. It's got to be better than my first sig.

An easy way to put a backgroun on would be to find a program like photoshop or gimp (free), and put the background as one layer and then what you have at the moment as another. then play around with the settings so they merge.
Anyway, i like your sig without the background. put a border around it and it'll be good to go. If you move toad closer to the triforce, then the triforce will look more central. Anyway, I should really do something with my sig. havent figured out what yet.

Git my simple background now. The only trouble I'm having now is the background colours of the images! Any easy way to get rid of them?

If your using gimp, if you colour selcet the background of the images (white), and then press something like ctrl+k basically delete or cut it It should then become trasparent. then add some type of feathering to make the images edgs less jaggy. Theres probably much better/easier ways but im a gimp n00b.

Thats nice, not realy my style but you know. Add a border [1 or 2 pixel black], maybe a style to the text would be nice, just try lots till it works.

i kind of liked the first one a lil bit better but it looks nice too with the blue and the font is cool!
Well done, it looks nice. All It needs is a thin black border.

Can someone please teach me how to put a border on my sig? I've been trying for ages, but I just can't find the option to do it or I'm just a total photshop n00b... :(

In photoshop or the final result? Try just using one single line across the bottom.
Okay I put it in manually. Still not sure why it didn't go all the way around though...
Anyway thanks for help triforce.

I you want to do it in photoshop, marquee the place where you want the border and go to edit>stroke.
