You don't need any software to do that. Run this patcher:
http://themes.belchfire.net/index.php?showtopic=8767
And you can use any theme you want without having to run software in the background to do it.

Is that patcher 100% safe because I have always been cautious since some logon skin screwed up my login, i'm using style xp ATM.
I've been using it for the past year or so and I've had no problems.

I already have that, and the Vista skin sucks in all(how many l's do I need here?) ways. I als ogot those sticky notes that is from some other software of Stardock, but pretty cool :P

Windowblinds/stardock etc are not good because they suck up RAM and just cover over your desktop. You're best off using that patch or installing styleXP and getting visual styles instead. They're generally of much higher quality anyway. Best place to find them is dA.
yea, i use the patch (iirc, it does exactly the same as StyleXP without a GUI)

Hey I downloaded that :) Where do you put the themes once downloaded?

I go to www.themexp.com for my visual styles
I put the theme folders in C:/Windows/Resources, then double-click the .mstheme files to load them.
