Speaking of Code Geass I watched the first episode of the first season, after laughing hysterically at it, (not with it) It´s now on my list of hysterical animes to watch

Maase FTW! You try and argue against him and his logic is flawed but heck, he still gives it a go! :) And eventually wins because everyone gives up.

Aanyhoo, anime. Finally caught up with Soul Eater- awesome, finished watching Persona, huge letdown, tries too hard to be complex and turns into an overdramatic mess. It's still nice to watch I suppose and the soundtrack is great (as well as the connections to Persona 3).

I just started watching Death Note and it's awesome!! - I heard good reviews and thought it'd be to my taste but didn't expect it to be this fun :) I'm only 4 episodes in at the mo! - I like the character building they've done already with Ryuk, he's ace, and Light is such a stubborn kid. I liked the whole part where L tricked Light to kill him (but used someone else) to track him down and now someone's following Light and I don't know who?! I hope it stays this good!!

The assassination does not need to be your command. I'm pretty sure Shino has tried to kill him sporadically.

Anyhoo, to not stay off-topic, I've been rewatching the awesomeness that is Rurouni Kenshin. Yes, I know it's almost 15 years old, but that's besides the point.

Looking on Wiki though, he's been in a few anime I've watched but I havn't recognised; Death Note: Aizawa Shuichi, Maes Hughes in FMA...o.O, and another guy in Noein.

It´s like the bastard child of Death Note and Gundam 00 resulting when the episodes are trying to be serious it´s so bad that I can´t help but laugh at it and most of the main male characters look like they could be killed by a swift breeze.

That's Fuko's name on the board behind Tomoya, and you can see the Furu of "Furukawa" behind Tomoyo, but then we knew about that bit of writing already. The pink text says "If this place could exist without changing..."

The arc might end soon but the fillers will still go on way into next year, there's still barely any material, around 24 chapters, and half of that isn't even about the battle they left the anime at since the manga sort of went back in time for a little bit.

Also going through the FMA manga, didn't realise just how much I love it :heh:

Ok, I've been watching fair amount of anime the past few days! :D

I caught up with Soul Eater right to episode 24! WOW! excellent, I enjoyed every minute and each episode from 20 just got better and better and there were so many awesome moments.

It was really weird to see Maka going insane Krona style which was really freakishly cool to see!

I loved the slight comic relief between Blair and the bunny rabbit woman transforming with the Fish. :p

Then we had Stein against Medusa which ended extremely well but I was like OH NOES medusa is dead. :( (as I'm on evils side in this show!)

But luckily she has just lost her legs! ^_____^

Then when I thought Black Star had stopped the Death God from being realeased I was like LAAAAAAAAME but fortunately that was also a Hallucination and I was like HELL YEEAAAAAAAAAH!That is so great it really suprised me that he was realeased.

That was odd as well having him wrapped in his own skin. o________0

And to top it all off you have the fight between him and Shinigami which was brilliant you see him in a completely different light and when he fights His voice and expression change and you realise that he is not just a goofy head of shibusen! also that was without a weapon I'd LOVE to see what he can do with a weapon.

There was so many twist and turns that I wasn't expecting I nearly exploded with two much excitement!!! :yay:

Then I also watched Xam'd lost Memories up to episode 9! Which is again excellent though I'm rather confused and excited where the story is going to go next. After all that I needed some brainles action so I watched Agent Aika which was pointlessly mental. Fun times. : peace:

And today I watched the 3rd episode of To Love Ru which was hilarious. :)

Not a clue what you're on about tbh :p. Onto R2 now and I'd say it's a good series.

I understand the Death Note comparison though, since the main character pretty much has the intelligent student persona and has big plans for the world, but that's where the similarity ends. Unlike Light, Lelouch isn't so clear cut in his personality (just going at justice like a mad townsperson with a pitchfork), which is why I kind of like the series. The mood of the show seems to change every few episodes, and things happen that I honestly couldn't predict.

Sure the characters are all awfully drawn (some sort of efeminate style) but I still think it's a pretty good series. :heh:

Memento's autumn 2008 anime list (http://www.designchronicle.com/memento/archives/autumn_2008_anime.html)

Autumn 2008 Fansub Wiki (http://fansubwiki.com/Who_Subs_What:_FALL_2008)

It has been two years since Majin Buu was defeated. Satan has become a hero for defeating Buu (the poster asks how this can be since everyone but the main character’s memories of Buu have been erased by Shenlong, but during the last chapter or so of DB, Videl or someone says that everyone remembers that Satan saved them, they just don’t remember from what. Though it seems that later reporters to explicitely mention Buu, which would be a plothole). Videl remembers the truth about those events, and seems to be embarrassed about her father. A gigantic hotel is built in commemoration of Satan, and is finally completed. Satan sends for Goku and the others who fought with him, and throws a party. Meanwhile, Goku, Chi Chi, Gohan, and Goten are making their living growing radishes (daikon, or “deekon”, as Nozawa calls them). Videl comes and asks Gohan to bring his family to the party. At first Goku doesn’t want to go, but he decides to when he hears that he will be able to eat rare food there.

Later, many jet fliers set off for the hotel, with Kame-sennin, No.18, Kuririn, etc, and they give Goku and family a lift. Piccolo doesn’t ride one though, but rather flies after them on his own. A group from Capsule Corporation arrives at the hotel first, and when Vegeta and Goku meet they soon get into a fight. But since the party is starting, Goku goes off to the assembly hall. Apart from Goku and family, Vegeta and family, and Kame-sennin’s group, the crowd includes Dende, Popo, Karin, Yajirobe, Chaozu, Oolong, Gyuumao, Kaio, Bubbles, Gregory, Kibito-shin, and Elder Kaioshin.

Despite the fact that there’s supposed to be no coverage of the party, members of the press appear and ask Satan questions about Buu’s defeat. As the Z Warriors are eating, two round spaceships lands on Earth. Piccolo and Gohan are the first to notice, then No.18, and then everyone stops eating and the atmosphere becomes tense.

From the two spaceships emerge a sharp-eyed Saiyan, and a small alien about 60 cm tall. Using his scouter to detect high battle powers, the Saiyan arrives at the party, and when he sees Vegeta he calls him “big brother”. The Z Warriors are all shocked by this sudden event. The Saiyan is named Table, and the other alien is his wife, named Grey. Vegeta says that Table was sent off to a remote planet because he had no talent for battle. It turns out that Table wants them to defeat Abo and Kado, who ravished his planet, and as the two of them have pursued him to Earth, Table begs Vegeta to save him.

But Goku says “Are they strong? I wanna fight them!”, Gohan wants to help as well, Goten and Trunks think it sounds interesting, Kuririn and Chaozu say they want to try as well, and finally even Kame-sennin wants to fight. Table measures the Z Warriors battle powers with his scouter, and says that they’ll be of no help since their battle powers are so low. But Vegeta scolds Table for relying on his scouter, and Goku gathers ki to show his power. The battle power reading on the scouter steadily increases, and it breaks as Goku goes Super Saiyan and then Super Saiyan 2 (with sparks and everything), making Table understand Goku’s power. Since it will be unfair to the weak people if everybody fights, Goku suggests they select a single representative to fight. Tenshinhan and Lunch aren’t present for this, but Kuririn’s daughter Marron is.

Goku teleports Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Chaozu, Kuririn, Kame-sennin, Videl, Chi Chi, Bulma, Table, and Grey to Mount Paozu (meanwhile Satan, Fat Buu, Kibito-Shin, and Elder Kaioshin ignore Table and just go on drinking). At Mount Paozu, Goku suggests that they each draw a radish, and the person who draws the longest radish will be the representative. Goten draws out a very long radish, and it seems he will be the one to fight. This makes Vegeta very jealous, and he tells Trunks to pull out an even bigger radish. Pressured by Vegeta, Trunks pulls out a very thing but incredibly long radish, and becomes the representative.

Meanwhile, two round spaceships land on Earth, containing Abo and Kado. Pursuing Table, they come to Satan Hotel, and a panic erupts. Goku and the others soon return, and things clam down. It turns out Abo and Kado are remnants of Freeza’s army, who have taken control of Freeza's planets now that he is gone. Vegeta also knows about them, and says that they were supposed to rival the Ginyu Special-Squad. Table says that the two have become even stronger, and have now acquired so much power that they wouldn’t lose even to Freeza.

Goku loses his enthusiasm when he hears that they’re “only” at Freeza’s level, and decides that it’s OK for Trunks to fight them. With some difficulty, he also gets Vegeta’s permission for Goten to fight as well. At first Abo and Kado underestimate their child opponents, but Goten and Trunks clobber them and knock them into some boulders. Getting serious, Abo and Kado each split into three people, and toy with Goten and Trunks.

Trunks and Goten are completely unable to counterattack now that Abo and Kado have become six people. Vegeta advices them to sense their ki to locate the real Abo and Kado, but the two say that’s easier said than done. Gohan offers to help, but they turn him down. They settle on having Gohan merely tell them where the real Abo and Kado are. With Gohan’s accurate advice, Goten and Trunks drive Abo and Kado to the wall (incidentally, Goten and Trunks haven’t become Super Saiyans even once).

Cornered, Abo and Kado merge to become even stronger, becoming “Merged Aka” (a purple Dodoria?). Put on the defensive by Merged Aka’s attacks, Goten and Trunks try to use their secret weapon, Fusion, but since it’s been so long they fail the first time, and become fat Gotenks. The second time they succeed though, and Gotenks overwhelms Merged Aka, using Yamcha’s Rouga-Fuu-Fuu-Ken, Tenshinhan’s Haikyuuken, and to finish him off they use Satan’s Great Ultra something-or-another attack (the poster forgot the attack name), going Super Saiyan the moment they punch Merged Aka into a lake. It looks like the fight is over, but…

Merged Aka isn’t defeated, and having become enraged, he lets out a super destructive energy wave, firing from both hands and his mouth. It hits Gotenks and collapses the Satan Hotel. Aka next starts shooting energy bullet-type things out like a shotgun, damaging each part of the hotel one after the other (this technique is called the “Wahaha no Ha/Wahaha Wave”).

In order to protect his friends, Piccolo deflects each energy bullet with a Makankosappo. Kuririn uses a Kienzan to save No.18 and Marron as they’re about to be crushed by rubble (No.18 gives a satisfied smile). Yamcha protects Bulma from the falling rubble by repeatedly using the Sokidan, Yajirobe saves some people by slicing some rubble in half, and Kame-sennin protects a beautiful woman from the rubble.

Goku and Vegeta decide to finish off Aka. They argue over which one of them will get to defeat him, but Goku points away and goes “What’s that?!”, causing Vegeta to look away. With Vegeta distracted, Goku takes off for Aka, while Vegeta objects that that was dirty of Goku. Aka fires a Super Wahaha no Ha, and Goku counters with an extra large Kamehameha, then nails Aka with a punch that has all his heart and soul behind it (not the Dragon Fist, though).

As Aka is defeated and the battle is over, Videl tells her father that having his hotel smashed was a punishment from God [I guess Dende can be a bastard like that], but encourages him by saying she’ll help rebuild it. Goku also encourages him, saying it can just be rebuilt, and the party starts again amid the hotel rubble. But Vegeta gets mad when Goku eats his sushi, and eats Goku’s Char Siu in return. Angry, the two finally turn Super Saiyan and fight, as everyone else watches in amazement.

Awesome. I was looking at what the studio who made Kurenai was working on. (by the way they're also responsible for the excellent Baccano). Right now they're doing Natsume Yuujinchou which I watched the first episode of and thought was lame but I'll watch a few more eps of just to be sure. Then I checked what they were doing after and it seems it will be a show called Aikikan which I quote:

The story revolves around a typical high school boy named Kakeru Daichi and the can of melon juice soda that he bought from a vending machine. The can suddenly transforms into a beautiful but standoffish girl that Kakeru nicknames "Melon," and more "Akikan" ("empty can") girls appear. However, Akikan girls need to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.
Oh dear. Wasted talent.

Just finished watching Death Note... if it wasn't for work and having to sleep i could have watched it all in one day. I was hooked, I would start watching and be up at 1am going..."hhmmmm just one more episode i have to see what happens"
Awesome stuff.

Also got the 2 live-action films.
The basic outline of the story follows closely the anime/manga, with a few alterations which work pretty well. Plus the actor from Battle Royal playing the lead was cool... he played him in a different way to how the character is portrayed in the anime/manga but was still awesome, and i thought helped the audience sympitise with him more.

They changed the ending in the 2nd film which I actually prefer to the ending in the anime/manga. And there is a 3rd film which is a spin-off centered around one of the other characters from Death Note... however if you've not seen the 1st two films, DO NOT look up info on the 3rd film as learning info about that could ruin the awesome ending of the 2nd film.

truely awesome series, it even had me acting like L for a while (still hold some objects like he does). L was my fav. You gotta watch the 2nd film again follows the anime closely but again with a few changes here and there, but they work so well.

I found it awesome how they managed to condense 20ish episodes (like 10 hours) of anime into two, 2 hour films and have it still flow so well. And seeing some scenes from the anime recreated in live-action was awesome (well actually vice-versa, i saw the films first, :heh:) and ones that changed still worked well.

Both versions I enjoyed immensely. But ending wise, I prefer the film to the anime. Prolly because I liked L and didn't really like Near. At the end of the anime...

I was actually hoping for Light to win and thought he would. Really Near only won because he got very lucky because Mikami got stupid. But in the films L wins because he did in fact out smart Light, even if it was at the cost of his own life. The final scene when Light (and the audience) thinks he won, then L appears and shows he wrote his own name in the book was awesome. I felt the whole Near arc in the anime (though I believe it was more fleshed out in the manga) was more like a filler to extend the show.

I prefer the movie ending, also L is my favourite character aswell. The reason Near and Mello got introduced was so they could beat Light since the creator wanted Light to lose and L couldn't win alone.
Also Near is the character I dislike the most.

But as the film showed L could win alone, it just required some self sacrifice. The main thing that lead to L beating Light in the film was he knew Misa had become Kira again and managed to switch her Death Note (obviously inspired by the anime/manga and Near's ending, but here it works better). How the L in the anime after being so smart and and a step ahead did not do this is ridiculous.

And this this ending works much better since L wins by actually out smarting Light. Rather than Near getting very lucky. Had Mikami not gone and made the mistake of using his "hidden" Death Note too early, Near would have never known the one he switched the pages on was a fake. Pure dumb luck, where the focus of the series was who would "out-smart" the other first

Did you see the 3rd film also about L?

Different seeing as there's no Death Note but still very awesome. Get to see even more of L's character which was great. The actor who played L did an awesome job in all 3 films, capturing his character and becoming him much like Heath Ledger becoming Joker.

I've noticed I started eating more sweets and chocolates too lately, haha, and holding them like L does.... always took loads of sugar in my tea anyway so that didn't change. Not sitting like him though... yet, haha

Might try incorporate some L mannerisms into future Youtube vids, haha: peace:

Not seen it yet, i'm getting it on DVD when it's out. The first is out, second is in a couple of weeks and the 3rd is the start of next year, so i'll get it then.

Well the movies aren't really canon since the writers didn't make it and only wrote the manga and left the anime/movies to other folk. And the guy who wrote the manga wanted Light to die pathetically since he was building up his and not through his own mistakes, which what Mikami done. The 13th volume of the manga(enclopedia) has a load of answers about DeathNote :heh:

Also they're doing an American adaption of the movie(s)

Cool, it does look the 29th, amazon has it for that aswell so there's credibility there. All 3 movies in the space of 5 odd months, awesome :heh: I think all the DeathNote movies are the special edition ones so far that is in the DeathNote replica. Haven't seen it with just the movie alone so far.

Hopefully you get enough for the movies, but make sure you still get Dawn of the New World :heh: I need another Lloyd & Sheena fan claiming they'll get together...

About Death Note, everything was thought since the beginning, the Near and Mello ark where not fillers...
It's a lot of lessons in one, the Mangaka who was the writer of the story did say that in a interview (forgot where)
And i actually think that Light was clearly in advantage, in a normal match, L would won.

I mean...Light knows everything about the Death Note that L doesn't, and even knowing it, he has a lot of difficulties against L, who manages to discover almost everything.

L is clearly more intelligent than Light.

Also, i love Near and Mello, they rule so much.

Yeah it's a shame, though the anime is really catching up to the manga and fillers are just horrid. Hmm, seems I might be wrong about the reason being lack of material.

I've been reading a lot of reports there and it seems that it just didn't get picked for a 3rd season since the manga is 22 odd chapters ahead which would make barely any anime. So it's going on a haitus so there will be more material and hopefully picked up later again at somepoint.

To many mixed views about it just now, need see if the final episode says anything.

I think it didn't get included since they were running thin on th number of episodes left to produce. It can't go further than 103 since that would involve getting a 3rd season license. If this arc finished a few episodes or so ago, they could of added some of that in.

More or less. After the 2nd season, they just animated (very recently) the ending of the manga, if I'm not mistaken, and skipped the rest of what would be a full 3rd season. In short, only the episode 25 and 26 were animated and the rest exists only in the manga, so non-manga viewers will probably not understand it. I didn't see it yet and I don't read the manga but I've heard that the ending is not good.:nono: It's a shame...

Has any sub group even come out and said they are subbing it to your knowledge? :-/

I've heard that 2 groups were going to sub the Lucky Star OVA but the monitor of 1 of the groups broke (wtf?). Don't take my word for it though. My sources are completely unreliable.
You have TAPpika's sub, but it's completely amateur and the video is screwed up. If you want something decent wait for a proper sub. I'll post here first thing as soon as I know anything.

The official Japanese website for the theatrical Neon Genesis Evangelion anime remake has re-launched — thus confirming the tentative release window and English title of the second movie in the project. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance will open in Japan in early summer of 2009. The first movie, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone, opened in September 2007, earned over 2 billion yen (about US$20 million), and sold over 600,000 copies on DVD.

The website promises that the second movie will feature the fan-favorite character Asuka, the EVA-02 unit, "new Evangelions," "added items previously unknown to anyone," "a shocking new story, and new visuals."

In the final scene, a naked Kaworu Nagisa is awakened by Seele on the surface of the Moon. What is apparently blood is splashed across a large swath of the landscape. Kaworu rises from a coffin-like container, which is flanked on each side by four other open coffins on the left and four unopened coffins on the right. In front of him is an unknown white giant who wears the purple Seele "Seven-eyes-of-God" mask, thus closely resembling Lilith's design in the original series; it is surrounded by construction and scaffolding. Kaworu engages in brief, cryptic conversation with one Seele monolith, saying that "the third one" hasn't changed at all and that he looks forward to meeting Shinji again. The screen cuts to black with the message "to be continued"...

You could say that it's difficult to really say if you should watch the first considering there's been only one episode of the second.

Yet how I loved that episode all because of season 1, I'd say yes, definitely watch season 1! Without a shadow of a doubt!

Bloody hell! Just caught up on the Naruto anime and NOW i remember why I read it as well as watch it. Shippuden 78-79 are probably the most epic episodes in the whole damn series. The way they built up tension was class, and even if you know what's coming, it still does not prepare you for it. In fact, you relive that moment all over again. Gripping. Tis especially cool if you have not seen the episodes leading up to it (thanks to the, as it turns out, perfectly placed filler) as you can sit down and get the full effects of the build up.

Blue_Ninja0
07-10-2008, 01:18 AM
Damn right! I was spoiled about the outcome but I was not prepared anyway. The pressure on the end of the episode was awesome. You could feel the despair on the team almost from the beginning. And the twists of the fights were some of the best yet.

Just finished watching all of Gundam Seed Destiny, awesome.

Seen Seed a while ago but took me awhile to get round to Destiny. Fully enjoyed it, characters and story as always brilliant. Love how gundam depicts war (which gets a bit emotional at times) and the various choices people make and why. Liked Shinn a little bit though there were many moments when I wanted Kira or Athrun to kill him for being such a puppet. He was kinda like an opposite of Kira, like a "what if Kira joined the Zaft army from the start", he had his moments though.

Chairman Durandel was an odd one, kept me guessing for a good while as to if he was bad or not.

Didn't much like the ending though, when it just ends when the fighting was over and they showed no aftermath, annoying as hell when that happens. Happened with Seed too but since I knew of Destiny didn't bother me cuz I knew there was more to follow. Then I found out there was a reworked final episode "Final Plus", much better, some little changes during the final battle too which was cool. But the best part seeing the aftermath and the characters getting together one last time.

I read there is a movie in the works too. Script is written but production hasn't started yet... hope it gets off the ground soon.

Will prolly look into Gundam 00 next, season 1. (does season 1 have a conclusion, like season 1 would be Seed and Season 2 would be Destiny, or was the season one end just like a mid way break? Cuz from what i can see season 1 only has 25 eps which is really only half a Gundam series?)

Wing is still my fav Gundam series though and Wing Zero my fav suit... closely followed by the Freedom

Right I need some advice.

After buying the Phoenix Wright manga earlier this week its got me in the mood to start buying a manga series I can really get into.

Im thinking probably either Bleach or Death Note, I dont want to buy both Vol.1s as I know I wont continue with them properly as thats what im like.

Any recommendations would be very helpful on which would be the better read for both single issues and overall.

Death Note, definately. I don't know much about Bleach, but Death Note can't be topped easily.
Plus, Death Note is already finished. Bleach isn't (I think).

And the Death Note manga is, IMO, better than the Anime. The anime is has awesome voices and music, but the manga is more serious, and focuses more on the plot.

Second episode of Clannad was pretty funny, it seems they're going to do some of the minor arcs before they get onto after story proper. Unless they do "another world" like with the Tomoyo arc, I imagine we won't get the Kyou/Ryou arc or the Yukine arc. There are still a fair few they can do though. Anyway, was nice to see them cover more of the story with the girl in the "ended world" or however you translate it.

Then I started two new shows Haykko or something which is a slice of life school anime thing and it wasfairly entertaining though after watching it I realised nothing had happened. :)

The other is Kemeko which is one of the most mental animes I've seen. It's about some random girl who hides in this powerful Kemeko machine which looks like a short fat woman with green hair, and the rest goes on from there. Insane but prettyy funny. I'm just hoping it goes somewhere....

After watching episodes 25 to 27 of Soul Eater I remember hy I love this show. It just oozes awesome. :awesome:

The new characters are excellent and I think I love each new addition. The new witch akrane or something (spider one) has a cool design! I feel sorry for Shinigami who has her to deal with as well as Medusa/asura. Also looking out for Stein going mental.

Justin is brilliant and I love how he doesn't listen to people especially at the end with Maka in the coffin. funny stuff.

Crona and Ragnarok are an awesome combination and I love how tiny he is now! and how she learns from Maka and protects her. The Golem was Win weilding a chainsaw and the other guy with the chains was equally good. Some beautiful animation as usual and I cannot wait to see where the story goes from hereand ho they will power up the characters! :D

Detroit Metal City
Souichi Negishi is a shy young man who came from the rural Ota Prefecture to Tokyo for college and wished to become a kindergarten teacher. However, for some reason he became the singer and songwriter of a metal band named "Detroit Metal City," with a stage name "Johannes Krauser II." Whenever he wears the heavy makeup, Negishi becomes a completely different person, shouting the most vulgar profanities beyond anyone's imagination. With the popularity of DMC increases, Negishi starts worrying his double personalities can have negative effects on his (romantic) life off stage.

Looks like bleach is back, new OP but a recap episode I believe.

edit: the new OP is pretty awesomez, visually at least. the ep is about 60% recap, with sidebars because they went WS ¬____¬

I love the new intro it wins =)

The episode was rubbiiiiiissshhh. That skinny guy with the big moon shaped blades is a bit of a physcho, ichi's got little chance after exhausting his hollow

Third episode of Clannad After Story was funny, probably more so than the previous episode. It was also an enjoyable watch, really can't wait for more of this.

God, I love this anime. I'm actually quite glad I got into anime to begin with, because I would have never watched this.

(By the way, that above sentence is feelings for this show that I have had for it since I first watched the first series. That I have a Kotomi statue only proves that. kthanxbai. )

Right I need some more advice.

Im really enjoying the Death Note manga so far, even though ive only just finished the first book. Im probably going to order some more later but id also like to get a bit more light hearted or comedic mangas at the same time so ive got something else to read if im not in the mood for death note.

Any suggestions?

Ah ok.

Speaking of Naruto, the anime has just started to show some promise again, it has just reached

Asuma's death ;_; and I really want Shikky to get some revenge up on their ass. Although I have no idea how he could kill Hidan. I've always thought if someone was immortal like Claire from heroes, they probably wouldn't make a come back from putting their head in a blender, but somehow I don't see that coming up on Naruto

Nah, don't get me wrong, I love One Piece, but nah. :heh:

As for Shonan Junai Gumi (and Bad Company, even if it's only 1 vol), it's not as good as GTO, hence the absence, and one only really becomes interested in it after watching or reading GTO. I mean, I dunno about Bad Company, but as for Shonan Junai Gumi, I've read the first two volumes (in store, I'm so cheap), and they're good, but not as good as GTO.

Also:
I hope they save the two tails, they better, because she seems rather cool. Be awesome to have a female jinchurriki to mix it up - and one that can seemingly control her power.

Oh one question I wanted to ask, not sure if this has happened in the anime/manga, or if there is any truth in it at all...but...

Does the number of tails in the jinchurriki represent the power?

No, number of tails = power increase, like naruto will gain power with each tail, gaara is limited to only a smaller power with one tail

Does the number of tails in the jinchurriki represent the power?it was actually mentioned in the anime not long back, while they were running through the trees with Chiyo, that the beasts with more tails were more powerful. Also I think the nibi jinchuuriki is done for, just a guess though :heh:

Saw Clannad 3, was awesome as usual. We're fully on Sunohara's arc now, meaning the arcs they currently haven't covered are Kyou, Yukine, Sanae, Yuusuke, Akio, Koumura, Misae, Kappei, and of course after story proper. I don't think Kyou or Yukine would be possible with the situation as it is, but they'll probably do about half the remainder. (I'd guess they'd axe Koumura and Kappei most readily)

Anyway, then we can get on the best arc of all.

Also watched the first episode of Michiko to Hatchin which oozes awesomeness I didn't know what to expect and it was great right from the OP which was fantastic, the show it self feels fast paced as well as establishing character in this first episode I will definately be watching more!

Man, why have the animation quality of all the new animes been bumped exponentially? God bless technology but now I want to see them all.
For example, I was interested in Toradora just because of the opening, but it seems it's nothing special looking past the animation. Or I could be wrong. Correct me if it is interesting.
gxtg7KEuuSw

Now what sparked my twisted interest was this crazy opening in which you see some Jesus Christ wannabe trying to carry a cross while being whipped, which is enough to make it awesome. The green haired midget girl takes my sleep away though. What the hell is this anime about?
8JGEpf6AyWc

I think one of you guys posted it's trailer a few pages back. With the green haired girl fighting with a fan or something. Miniguns are also present and lots of things seem to be 3D hybrid.
And the midget girl seems to fight some Smash Bros like Master Hand so I can't see how can this anime possibly fail. Anyone watching it?
Here's the commercial:

Blue Ninja I have been watching Kemeko DX! :D (Which is the green haired fat robot thing) and I've also read the manga. It is pretty funny!

It's the usual story normal boy meets strange girl but this time it's this fat robot woman who claims to be his bride. Then you find out inside is this beatuiful girl who is controlling it. I'm not good at explaining but it's one of the most mental animes I've watched.

And I agree with you about the animation almost everything is looking ace! :)

Kemeko is good but I have know Idea where the story is going! If you like seein a midget green haired Robot fighting a whole manner of crazy things then this is for you. :p

I was wondering the same thing.
There's good ones for pretty much everything else - Films (Movies you should see), games (loads), TV (various Lost, heroes ones) general luls (Gervais, Definitive word, Brand), but I've yet to find a good anime one.
The problem seems to be that most of them is that they all seem to be done via skype rather than a group sitting around a table and discussing. And they're usually American, which never seem to be quite as good as Brit podcasts

Yeah agreed, if they were into anime it would be ideal. You'd think that they'd at least do a couple of anime films for MYSS (Maybe Spirited Away, Girl who Leapt through Time, Akira) but alas no.

I haven't listened to Games you should Play spare a couple of episodes, though I thought they were ok, for a couple of 17 year olds. Meh, if they outsourced an anime podcast like that, or like they do in Books you should Read it would be better than nothing *shrug*

Yeah I think a few anime movies have appeared in the future episodes suggestions part of their forums but never really been looked into.

Books You Should Read could be ok but it really depends on who tries to review some manga, thats why I dont really listen to that show. I dont like listening to podcasts where the presenter just obviously isnt good enough.

I think there are a few anime fans on the forum and one may have even spoken about talking to Rich about an "Anime You Should See" show but nothings happened yet.

It's quite unneccessary, it's a "how to read and interpret" Death Note, but it's actually just a money suck. It lets you know L's real name and gives you some little extras of info... it's a waste of money, honestly. I wish I hadn't bought it.
