NOE: Accompanying the console launch will be around 20 software titles including Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and from third party publishers launch games include: Ubisoft’s RED STEEL, EA’s Need for Speed: Carbon, Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, THQ’s Disney/ Pixar’s Cars and Sega’s Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

Why they couldn't just give us a list I don't know

OK, it seems NOE was the only company who didn't give us a full-list of launch titles, no surprises there!

However it seems we won't be getting 'Excitetruck'. Not to sure about 'Elebits' either! Which is a damn shame as there both superb games.

BUT there are 20 launch titles, so we just have to wait and see.....

Cheers guys!

One other thing. Has there been official specs released yet? Seems strange they are keeping these under wraps for so long.

i don't think Nintendo are especially fussed about releasing the specs, they want the games/controller to sell the product not how many polygons it can display etc...

it really wouldn't surprise me if they were never properly released.

I've just highlighted the ones that I remember being confirmed for launch. Can anyone else name a few more or take some out of my list?

I think call of duty may have slipped it doesn't have an 8/12/06 release date where I work has another date, can't remember what. also whilst I'm here excitetruck isn't listed meaning there its either need for speed or gt pro for racing fans.

Yeah, i read somewhere (although it could be wrong) that Call Of Duty 3 is now released in 2007 for the Wii!

You forgot to add Wii Play there mate, and I'll wait for a proper list from NoE you never know the true list of games, plus Mortal Kombat:Armaggedon is confirmed for launch window and that is supposed to be releases on Wii in the fortnight after the Wii is released so you never know what we'll end up getting

It's not precise at all, because that is US list (there isn't Euro list yet). But yeah, you're right that we can except most of these games before end of march. :)

One other thing. Has there been official specs released yet? Seems strange they are keeping these under wraps for so long.

Nintendo said a long time ago they were never going to officially release them to the public themselves. The developers know them since they've had the technical details for an eternity (they're given them before they have the hardware so they know what to aim for with games) now but Nintendo don't want the public to focus on them so they're not releasing them themselves to make a big deal out of it. Hence the specs that we get from developers (aka the ones with the 733Mhz or whatever processor and what not that tons of developers have confirmed) are the only ones we'll ever get.

The specs we've been given by developers/IGN are basically confirmed by this point anyway, I've seen tons of people working on games say those are the specs, people just seem to be in denial about it but it's about time everyone just accepts it and moves on.

Apparently (thank the gods) Wario Ware will be released in Europe on Dec 15th. Great news! :)

Wasnt Exitetruck named as a definate launch title for Europe, Japan and the US?
Besides, all of those titles will be out within the launch window anyway...3 months is fine! I'll just be playing Twilight Princess and Red Steel through that time...

No for that WW:SM was the other Nintendo Japan is getting instead of ExciteTruck, then I think by the 15th though EXciteTruck comes out over there.

I'm hoping Call of Duty isn't delayed. I was looking forward to that on release. I've never bought that sort of game before.
