Hey, nintendo have done it before. Its just a joke.
Nintendo insulted Sonic in one of the donkey kong countries. There was a part were on the wall it said 'No hopers' and below it were sonics shoes.

Its sony, what do you expect? Then again, its the developers that make the game.

It was Rare that did that, not Nintendo, and none the less I still found it funny.

Anyway, you can't sue if it's a non-profit spoof but this seems to be a profit spoof. Plus things were alot looser in games when Rare did it.

Edit: And it seems there is anoter part in there that looks like Mario in a kart.

Seems a little too far for Sony... I mean, it was only a matter of time before they made a WarioWare clone to try and say 'look, we have it too', but as Johelian said (nice new sig btw Jo) there were Warioware-esque games before Warioware. The part that seems too far is the similarity of the characters to Mario and Luigi. That really confused me as two men in red and green with blue overalls are pretty much Mario and Luigi by definition. If Sony's able to get away with this (assuming it's actually real of course), something is really wrong...

Have you seen the PSP sales numbers? Sony were too cocky and now they're getting their ass kicked by the DS. That's why they're desperate!

err, that's only in Japan. It's much closer in the USA and Europe. As opposed to the Playstation vs. Gamecube where the GC isn't close to the PS anywhere in the world.

I love Nintendo more than any video game company ever but to say Sony is desperate is silly. If anything Nintendo is desperate...

Another thing guys, if Nintendo ripped off Sony charaters (well..if they had any...) in a game we'd all find it halirious, but if Sony does it we're all screaming lawsuit this and lawsuit that, give it a rest. It's immature of Sony to do, but it's a harmless joke.

A professional company like sony developing on a system they know inside out would not come out with graphics like that.SNES graphics look better!

And if it is real then sony will sink like the titanic if thats the quality of there games!

It is real. Yes, it looks poor, but then again so does Wario Ware. It's a tried and tested formula. Take it with a pinch of salt, guys. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that.

Imagine Sony had a proper mascot. If Nintendo decided to do what Sony are doing with Mario and Luigi, do you think half the people here would be as angry? Sony have ripped a lot of things from Nintendo. I don't see this as Sony trying to pull wool over our eyes; do you think they really think nobody's going to notice? If they went so far as completely ripping off a company's main mascots and putting them in a game with the same structure as the character's signature game, they could lose a lot of respect (and/or sales :indeed: )... Everything in gaming today is copied from somewhere, just because this is more blatant than some other things doesn't mean it should be spat on.

Lets not forget that, before there was Wario Ware, a collection of insane fast-paced mini games was released by Konami on the Playstation having seen wild success in arcades. The name? Bishi Bashi Special.

Its not a new concept, nor would I say its a stolen concept.

The creepy Mario/Luigi clones are a bit of a surprise though.

She speaks the truth, Wario Ware is Bishi Bashi with Nintendo added to it and changed to 5 second games, instead of random times.

If that is in the game, then I find it highly funny. Entertaining gags are sure to make those fanboys turn in their skins.

Sony doesn't have a mascot, mainly because the games that Sony have made have all been different characters and so on.

I've got a debate to have in this thread. What about the Asterix game?

Really? As a pixel artist, I've found Wario Ware has some really lazy and nasty visuals. I mean, yeah, I can understand it seeing how the sprites are on screen for all of 5 seconds, but I'd never go so far as to say WW was smooth or cool visually.

Funny, that last clip showed, where "Mario" ;) and "Luigi" ;) are in the karts and luigi falls off the edge is an exact copy of the kart game on Mario Party E I'm not sure who's it was, but that changes nothing.

The clip you are on about; only one looks like mario, the other is some sort of weird alligator headed creature.

TBH, i doubt they are mascots per sé, but just digs at nintendo.

You know, nintendo will probably do something - not because of the game per se, but because of the mascot theft. Remember that Korean MMORPG from about a year ago with the sel shaded look? In the early screenshots, they had characters that looked exactly like link. After pressure from nintendo, they've decided the final game will not have characters that can so easily resemble link, given the graphical style is near identical to wind waker.
