Not one of my strengths. But It's important. Use "comma" and "full stop" where need. Nothings more irritating than reading a post that looks like if a drunken monkey wrote it. Use preview post before reading so that you see that it looks OK. Try Reading through your post before you post.

Post like a pro!
Broken quotes, Img tags and Links that don't work look really bad. Try posting a post that is presentable and with everything intact.

Don't be aggressive
If you are going to verbally attack another member have a good reason [A really really good reason. Maybe contact a mod first?]. Many users may disagree with you. You should rather agree to disagree than to start with name calling and calling each others moms etc. If some one says the love fizzy water or anything don't call him a moron because you hate it [not talking about you Owario ^^].

Know what you are talking about!
Your moms best friend may be a source of your information. But don't post it as fact unless you are sure. Try posting a link to a source as often as you can. Some times you may be right and no one will belive you. Wait until you can prove it. Don't start flaming or bad talking other members.

Contribute
Make every post count. Try posting info or good opinions. Start interesting threads or reply with a witty joke. You will get no Love if all you can do is answer yes or no.

Build an identity
Get your self a recognisable Sig and avatar. That's the best way to get to see you. Follow it up with great posts. [Coo-dude-factor]*[Competence]^2 = Lovable member.

I think when I joined the forum back when it was CE there was a thread called "newbies read this first" and I actually found it quite helpful, so this would definitely be a great help for others too.
