Am I dreaming or was the chime when I boot up my DS and get the warning screen different these past days? I just bought advance wars and I'm telling you, it was at a higher pitch! I even rebooted it a couple of times to see if I didn't hear it wrong. I make music myself so I kinda consider my memory to be pretty auditive, so I'm practically sure it was at a higher pitch. The strange thing is that it's back to normal now. :s
Anyone else had this?

It changes due to battery. Low pitch on full charge, high pitch on max charge. A little fun feature Nintendo fit in.

The tone will also be different on your birthday (the date you entered into the DS).

Yeah. I found that. I was like "WTF?!"
It took me a while to realise why it was doing it.
Cool. I never knew these things about the DS!!

Ah! Good old wonderworkin' Ninty knows how to make a gamers day! A slight change of tone in the chime. A chime that troughout the year sounds like "hey, everything is going to be just fine, chap!" - certainly not deprived from certain psychological motives, but we forgive.
But on one's birthday it changes. Or does it? The gook who came up with this idea is a friggin' genius, I bid! "Let us make the DS more human" he must have utterd on one of the designers meetings. Catchin' me drift? I'll explain. Whenever we have a birthday people around us change, if they are aware of the date, that is. They change in a superficial way only. You are complimented, you are given gifts and funny cards, and you are kissed! But all that is conventional, it isn't genuine. Sure they mean what they say, but it is only said because of the date. Am I being cynic? I hope not, anyway, in this facet the DS is entirely human, or human-like. It changes a little, only on the outside, only the tone of the chime! BUT it only changes because you have set the date of you're birth!
150 Euro's well spend, I thank you!

I knew the birthday thing, but not the battery one. Is the battery one just Europe DSes?
