Oh my, I hope Yuji Naka is referring to the Wi-Fi Connection service and not just multiplayer, because if it is online then OH HELLS YEAH!
"In a recent interview with Sega's Yuji Naka, it appeared that Sonic Rush will make use of the Nintendo WiFi Conenction service.
In an interview by GameSpy, Yuji Naka revealed that the upcoming Nintendo DS game Sonic Rush will include a multiplayer option providing the ability to have other players download a competition game via WiFi. In the interview Naka also stated that the game will feature pairs of characters teaing up: Sonic has Tails, Blaze and Cream and finally Knuckles and Amy.
The full article, which also has brief parts on Sega's other upcoming titles such as Feel the Magic 2, can be found here (http://xbox.gamespy.com/articles/654/654750p1.html) ."

Nice find. It seems everyone is jumping on the WiFi bandwagon....as they should be! Not too sure about the team up thing I mean Knuckles with Amy???? Whats that about? Give the Echinda some dignity and team him up with Shadow!

I want a game where you control Knuckles on his own, where it's just like Sonic 3 & Knuckles with loads of hidden routes and areas that can only by found by climbing/smashing/gliding away from the main route.
Also, no endless pits to die down. Those are uncalled for in modern games.

The way I read it is that you'll be able to download a mutiplayer game via wifi with someone in the same room as you, not online but like a single cart download.

actually im not surprised that hasn't already been done for ds (the retro games) been as u have download play and stuff. Anyway the sound of sonic online is cool, monkey ball online would be good too, u could try and beat everyone on advance mode, monkey ball is cool on gc in multipolayer mode where its first one to the goal, that would be good online, so many good sega games that could b online...

That's the way I read it too.. =/
This game is still shaping up nicely though. I orignally had little to no intrest when it was first announced, but now it's one of my top wanted games for the DS. I probably won't pick it up riiight away with Mario Kart coming out a couple weeks before, but most likely around Christmas.

Yes, I got the impression it just meant multicart, not online. Still cool. Multiplayer Sonic is a must.

The advantage of the competition game being downloadable, rather than built into the game:
1. It can be improved/debugged.
2. Special occassion versions can be introduced, i.e. Christmas.
3. Special versions can be added for the best players, if they have a league table.
4. The game can be compleltely changed over time.

Yeah, but I do think he meant a single cart download between systems for a competition game. But if it is Wi-Fi, im definitly gonna be buying the game, although i was going to because of its fast pace and im a huge sonic fan lol

Really? Then the DS cart must have some re-writeable features?
