yeah i know The legend that is CompSci needs help, who would have thought, enough with the formalities
can some recommend me a good website that sells laptops, websites like ebuyer , dabs etc and not like PCWORLD
i am will to spend at least £500 on one for my degree course
so guys plz can any one help

For that price it's a very good deal, but you are getting a very basic laptop. For double your money you could get an Acer with more RAM, better graphics card, more HD space, widescreen, higher resolution, and a DVD-RW. It depends if you need those features though, although I would say 512MB RAM is a minimum today (but you could always upgrade that separately).
It's official: Acer own all others. :cool:

Space is right - its very subjective. I'd probably a good price - but its not fantastic as you really could get alot better, but of course you would pay a proportionally higher amount.

sorry for all these topics, this is my last one honest
ok here goes i've looking around for laptops, now i have found one which seems perfect and a good price, however one things that keeps bothering me
it has a Mobile Celeron Cpu, but it has a Wireless 802.11B Inbuilt, so this make it a centrino

I don't know much about lap-tops, but that seems good for it's money.
