Revolutions Name

So how about it? Do you want the Revolution to keep its name or would you like it to change? If you would like it to change, what name would it be?

I personally would like to keep Revolution.

If the specs, the controller, the games, the advertising and anything else that matters is superb they can call it Revolution otherwise Nintendo needs to think about another name. So basicly change the name because it won't be a Revolution.

Personally i never liked the name Revolution, the console needs to have a name that is comfortable to say in a sentece e.g.:
"Go away i'm playing the Playstation," sounds much better than;
"Go away i'm playing the Revolution."
And it needs to be able to be shortend like how Playstation 2 becomes PS2.
But it also needs to sound distant from the competition.

It has a good chance of being called that in my eyes as the name has been around for ages now and people seem know what you are on about when you talk about the Nintendo Revolution so it has already made a name for itself.

I do like the RES idea that someone has already said. It takes Nintendo back to its roots....to simipler times which seems to be what Nintendo are going for.

Yes, like HERO-OF-TIME said, they are aiming to create a simple yet intuitive way of controlling games just like the old days. So, I also think that N.I.S (Nintendo Intuitive System) wouldn't be so bad :D:D!!! (as you have discovered by now, I'm an addicted to NES lol)

I think N5 is a far cooler name. It's Simple, short & cool. They should use it.

And the Mario game will be quite retro stylee, but as well as letting you turn into standard Super Mario, you can now turn into a Mario64 DS-style Ultra Mario who can stomp all over the place. And it'll have fire flowers. And frog suits.

Personally, I find 'Xbox 360' to be a bit... stupid. 'Nintendo 360' makes a lot more sense - 360 degrees being a full revolution, for those up the back carving their names into the desk.

If the rumour is based purely on that image, then fake. You can see where the colour around the text has been smoothed into an even tone, rather than been shiny and reflective.

I don't like the name Revolution ,which sounds like Nintendo will abandon the old way entirely to play video games. In fact, Nintendo don't have courage to do that in order to keep players so it remain the old controller.
