"Quick News: Buena Vista games has announced that its newly-acquired Turok franchise is set to make a bold comeback using the Unreal 3 engine. However, whilst the proposed new title is set to hit the PS2, PSP, XBOX and XBOX360, it is not going to feature on the GameCube, but the Nintendo DS instead."

Good news that the DS is going to get a version of the latest Turok game!

Sadly no GC version! (which i wouldn't have minded had it been an Acclaim game!!; but Beuna Vista could develope the franchise into a great game; we'll have to wait and see!)

Hopefully under a new development studio the game will return to and stay set in jungle environment!

Hopefully this will be a 3D game. I'm no graphics whore but com'on, developers should start using the DS' 3D/N64 power more often.

The original Turok was fantastic. The later games went a bit too futuristic. I always felt the game was better in the jungle / dinosaur settings rather than against robots and cyborg dinosaurs.

I'm sure it will be 3D. It's a perfect contendor for DS. Lets just hope they don't rush it.

I agree! I love the first Turok but then it all went down-hill from there! The new game should be set in a jungle with dinosaurs roaming it, which are after you! Thats better!

Couldn't stand Turok lol.. I always got lost. I'd probably be better at it now though

Turok one had the best setting IMO, but I think I liked Turok 2 as much, it felt "better" except for the setting. Rage Wars was rather fun.
Turok DS could be really fun, make it a mix between Turok 1 and Rage Wars(with online multiplayer) would probably be very fun :)

Half OT, I would very much like a Forsaken DS, I think it's one of the most underappreciated games for the N64.

I was never a big fan of the Turok games on the N64. But I will wait and see how this turns out.

oh i played the second Turok game on my N64... remember that drill that homed in on brainwaves.. ha ha ha.. that weapon has never been beaten.. that very disturbing noise it made when drilling through the heads of your enemies... also bought rage wars and was very dissapointed. So im not that interested in any new Turok games..

I have the first 3 toruks on the n64, i have only played 2 and 3 once though, can't be bothered to play them, the first one was great, the setting made it what it was.
