Anyone else think this looks really good? When it was first announced I dismissed it as I didn't think it would be much good. But I've just watched a video and it looks like it will be really good fun. I like the idea of having enimies (like Space Pirates & Metroids etc.) to defeat. Plus the game looks really nice graphics wise. It looks like it will be a fun title.

A big NAH from me. It could be fun though.

I've heard some good things from people who've played the demo, but I'm not 100% convinced. It just seems to be Nintendo capitalising on Metroid's current popularity by putting Samus into games she doesn't really belong in. Don't know why they've put 'Prime' in the title, either.

I just hope they haven't come up with a ridiculous story for putting Samus into a pinball game, like they did with Super Mario Ball.

its really nice, but the problem lies in variety, not sure if different pinbal tables can represent diffrent levels since they almost all have the same features. So this game might take a hit in replay value, and I don't see how multiplayer can be incorporated.

waiting to form an opinion.

I mean great graphics, cool envronments, characters etc. yet metroid in a pinball game :hmm:

Looks good, I would get it (maybe I'm a sucker) if I had the money

I think that it look bloody fantastic and the two-screens have been used very well but how do they plan on using the touch screen? Do they even plan on using the touch screen? I dunno, it looks good but I've never been into pin-ball games tbh.

I'm getting it. Not because it'll be a good game, but because it'll have a free rumble pak.

I think it's used to nudge the board.

I believe the game is being developed by Oxfordshire-based Fuse Games, who developed Super Mario Ball for GBA. I hope they've learned lessons from the reviews of said game while developing Metroid Prime Pinball :)

I think I'll just stick with the pinball I got free with Windows XP....

Wasn't to sure whether to give this a huge bump since there doesn't seem to much interest but meh.
This FINALLY has a release date for Europe being the 22nd of June, after it being out in the US for so long.

it is a great game and I enjoyed it loads when first got it. don't really understand why NOE delayed it so long though. honestly people, you would be better off getting the US copy off ebay etc for a cheaper price.

I had totaly given up on this game coming out, mainly because there was little translation to be done as its a pinball game and i just thought Nintendo didnt want us to have it or the rumble pak that comes with it. Hmm that makes me wonder if we will get the rumble pak with it here in euro land?

Yes.

£20 with Actionloop
£30 with Metroid Prime Pinball.

Still....this game was made in the UK...why so long?

I was under the impression, the delay was due to some chemical being in the rumble pack, that was illegal in the UK or something, and thus the game could not be released in the UK. Same story with Wario Ware Twsited, as that use's a rumble pack in it's tilt sensor thing.

But if the game was produced in the UK as Cube says.....and my theory is correct, what were they doing with this illegal liquid!

I was like 12 when this was released in USA (being sarcastic of course, my maths ain't that bad...well....). :D

I don't mean this horribly, but 'Does anyone care anymore?' it's got that sort of sense from it....it's like we've waited too long for it, and now it's being released it's just a little too late for it to sell well?

Still, we need a pinball DS game and this will fit the gap. Doubt i'll be buying it though.

Heh, I bought this from a UK shop...so if that illegal chemical things true, thats kinda funny.

Totally recommend peeps to buy this though. Its a HIGHLY addictive and excellent game.

Well I never expected this. I assumed it had had the Wario Ware Twisted treatment, and would eventually get pushed right off the relaese lists. I may buy it; depends if there's anything else out at the time.

Nintendo of Europe simply chose to release the game at this time. - Nintendo spokesperson

I'll probably buy this. I love pinball, but a real pinball machine is a bit expensive.. That, and this will be perfect for the short time I travel to work etc. The Metroid universe makes it a little bit more cooler, allthough I hope it's more pinball with Metroid attributes than some weird Metroid spin-off with pinball mechanics (if you follow me). I guess I can check that now by reading old reviews.

I'm not sure about the rumble pack, it's probably not as good as the N64 one (..).
That, and it's probably the version for the regular DS. And I have a MP3 player already sticking out of that slot..

Anyway, on a sidenote, wouldn't it be cool if someone made a real pinball machine using the Metroid license? That'd be something I'd save up for..

but I do love Metroid Pinball. Got it for my mum as a christmas present from my local games shop for £7!! It's a great improvment from Mario Pinball. That game should not of had been made

I heard the rumble pak with this was quite noisy and a bit crap. Would someone please post their impressions of the european version when they get it. If the rumble is still crap I'm just gonna get an american version off ebay.

I might treat myself to either this or FFIII after my exams are up. Though for £30 quid they can get stuffed. Is there Anywhere other than eBay where i can pick it up for around that Price?

Also, does Samus get her kit off?

Beat Metroid Prime for the first time this evening - quite a nice boss battle. I doubt I'll play this much now, though. Each game takes too much time!
