Im talking about the sandwich restaurant.

http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/index.aspx

I used to think those thing were a waste of money but I finally tried one and now Im hooked. (Chicken and Bacon ranch with cheese and tons of other stuff). They also don't make me feel as guilty as the greasy KFC buckets.

I always go for a 12 inch but I've heard you can do a 6ft sandwich but you need to order in advance and it cost up to £30. (y you'd want to I don't know!). I really like it now and go there to eat with my mates regularly.

They are quite expensive though so If I dont have much cash on me I go to Mcdonalds. Hey you get what you pay for!

I really wanted one while I was in New York but the queue was huge. I ended up getting a sandwich from a health store instead. It was surprisingly tasty :p

I quite like it, but it's nothing brilliant. I go there about once a week.

Usually I have roast chicken and cheese on Italian herb and cheese bread, although sometimes I have an Italian BMT in the same bread, which is basically salami, ham and cheese. (does anyone know what the "BMT" stand for?- I asked someone I know who's fluent in Italian and he disn't have a clue either)

My one gripe with subway is the fact that the 6 inch subs are too small, and the 12 inch ones are too big.

Subway is the don, I've been going there for years. What I dislike is the attitude that some people have regarding the price of food at Subway. Its not that expensive, at most a pound fifty more than a mcdonalds or burger king. Which is better considering the food is freshly prepared in front of you and you can chose what you want in it. And its a healthier.

I usually go for a Roast Chicken hot sub with some lettuce and ketchup, I'm pretty bland. I meal deal that bad boy and get a coke and crisps with it.

Youve discovered the wonder that Subway is.
I'll usually have a 6 inch with chicken, olives, cheese and bacon. Baked. With a bit of tomato sauce if i feel like it.
Im CRAVING it!

I reckon they should do a 9 inch

The bigger the better!!!:indeed:

Italian B.M.T.® An old-world favorite. Sliced Genoa salami, pepperoni and ham and your choice of fresh vegetables and condiments served on freshly baked bread. Some say BMT stands for biggest, meatiest, tastiest. We wouldn’t disagree

Thats what I thought initially but the magic really is in what you choose and getting the combination spot on! (always toast those babies) If you do you'll be hooked like a baby on breast milk!

Ok, here goes:

12" on Italian herbs and cheese. Chicken Teriaki with cheese, toasted. Then, all the salad except the gerkhins. Sprinkle of chillis and then honey and mustard sauce. C'est bon.

Or, the meatball is also godly. I might try the steak ones next time. Opinions?

Cheese steak with extra cheese is damm nice but I haven't found the perfect sauce yet. I really need to find that elusive sauce!!!

I'm a plain sandwich kinda guy, I can't stand all this vegetable crap. So it would just be a waste of money for me.

subway is fookin awesome!!!

I normally have a 6 inch Chicken Fahita on Italian and Herb bread. Loads of salad and plenty of salt and pepper.

Even though it is a tad expensive, I think it is worth it as long as I have the cash!

Like I've always said, its like sex for the mouth.

My personal recommendations are:

The sub club
The BMT
And the Chicken and Bacon Ranch

Well it really matters where you live. Down in Milton Keynes by the train station the most expensive 6 inch is £3.50 (chick and bacon ranch). Most others are about £2.80 + £1.70 to make it a footlong. I was visiting Brighton not too long ago and down there most of the 6 inch subs are about £4.87 which is a big difference.

Yeah I got one of them too... I think it was some kind of promotion, but I saw a sign saying that it was discontinued.

Biggest, meatiest and tastiest is stupid... and yes, they should definitely have a nine inch. The reason they don't is so that they can force us hungry fools to pay for extra sandwich that we don't want. (but eat anyway... :heh: )

Having said that, the subway in st. albans is fairly good value, provided you have a six inch or a sub of the day (£2-£3). Do they charge extra for salad and sauces? I don't have them anyway; I like my sandwiches plain.

That's where home made wins every time though, you can have exactly what you want every time.

Not if you don't have the ingredients; provided you know a sandwich you like they'll (probably) always have it at subway.

God... you know that you're bored when you're getting into debates about sandwiches...

'Biggest meatiest tastiest' is what Subway's marketing department now tell everyone BMT stands for, but that was not actually the original meaning. When Subway started out in New York, they naturally looked for all sorts of puns based on the New York subway (trains), and BMT originally stood for 'Brooklyn Mass Transit', which I believe is a line on the subway.

What's that got to do with the sandwich?

Not that suprising, given they microwave pre-cooked meat...

Mind you, I've had microwaved pre-cooked meat for lunch for the past 2 years, and I've been fine.

I love my visits to subway when i go on a big shopping adventure in town with my girlfriend. We usually go shopping first, then stop off for a subway afterwards, then catch the bus home.

I can't eat the meat they serve there (silly religion), so i always end up having the same thing.

A Tuna with light mayonaise sandwich with wheat bread. I have it with cucumber, lettuce and i round it all off with chilli sauce. Bluddy gorgeous. :)

Cheese Steak on Hearty Italian for me. My dad's marketing company does the ads for the North East franchises, so I always get shitloads of half price vouchers for free.

Wait a sec...can't eat mean because of religion...? Hmm...wouldn't this same religion constitute a no pre marital sex law aswell (either that or you're a buddhist) :heh: Fierce_LiNk's in tawubble :heh:.

As for me, I always have the Chicken breast, toasted with extra cheese, lettuce and chilli sauce...which tastes average at best. Not a fan of subway.

Man, I am so very bored. I think I'll go and gorge myself on the big fat vat of Mangoes we have in the fridge...mmm...Mangoes...
