I've just got a email from VGP saying this game is on it's way to my house. I've been sitting and waiting for a RPG to finally hit the DS and it's here with Lunar Dragon Song.

So any other peeps getting this RPG? There must be some RPG nuts out there!

Ouch, 6.1
I'm still interested though because its an RPG, and websites usually rate RPGs a lot lower when I think they should be higher. I remember one site gave Baten Kaitos 53% before it came out, and that nearly put me off but I still got it and I absolutely loved it. The user rating at Gamespot seems to be pretty high so i'll wait for more opinions from gamers rather than sites.

Apparently it doesn't live up to the Lunar pedigree, I'm dissapointed :( -- might try it anyway though.

6.3 on IGN

"Lunar is not a bad game by any means. Most of the flaws mentioned in this review will fade to the background if players are in possession of huge amount of patience and an abundance of free time. Dragon Song features a bundle of original ideas, but fails to implement them in a fashion that stays entertaining throughout the course of the game. Hopefully Lunar will make another appearance on the DS in the near future and do this series justice."

I ordered this, and it shipped the day before IGN's review came out. Darn.

After about an hours play, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. HP draining when you run? No way to target enemies in battle? No way to get EXP and items together? It's like an RPG Lite, with none of the stuff that makes real RPGs work.
