Recent photographic evidence would seem to suggest so...

I just saw that picture on another site. Seems a staffmember there had begun to do that face Miyamoto is doing, while another had begun making that hat the guy´s wearing.

That smile shigeru is doing looks soo fake...yep there over working him. This isnt a band tour, shigeru would rather be at home.

I don't get the joke if there is one, but I like the hat.

It's the Hat from Minish Cap. That's all there is to it really.

Meh, I think it's the photo, weird facial poses get captured easily then.

They're taking him on tour where he has to meet silly obsessive geeks? Must be tiring.
Looks like that Miyamoto is trying to communicate by substituting a minish cap with his hand. I'm sorry but I find this idea with that expression deserves a big "LOL".
lol :P

What is there to get? He's shaking hands with a large gentleman with a rastafarian hairdo, wearing a minish cap hat and pulling a bizarre expression, and making a bizarre hand gesture... its about as bizarre as you get.

What the funk are you are all (or some) going on about!?!?!?!? He is looking as goofy, smiley as ever! If you think he looks tired, he prolly IS. I don't think he looks like he is acting, or is bemused. Actually he looks pretty amused to me.
The Elza hat is freakin awesome!¬!!1231212

I don't see the point in touring him around. Why are Nintendo trying make a celebrity out of him? Gamers knew who he was before and love him for making games.. not making appearances every.
He'll probably be on the next love island or something lol

He should really tend to his games more and not these appearances and interviews; he does far too many of them I think.
I suppose he's officially a gaming celebrity now.
I'm betting Miyamoto has a HUGE stash of Red Bull to keep him going though all this -- He does look generally amused on that picture however.

I'm all up for these thing tbh. I mean I'd love to meet the guy myself and ask him some questions.

I agree with some of the others, he does look amused, not faking it.
Also, alot of people would want to meat him and he's giving them the chance. If I get the chance, I would make myself a link suit. It's only natural I swear.

I dont think it's fake either. It;s just a face. He's probably surprised about meeting that guy!!
Someone buy me that funking hat.

What on earth are some of you going on about, "Miyamoto touring"??? Barring his appearances at official Nintendo showings, i.e. E3 and TGS, he's only done these sorts of public appearances about twice a year, from what I can remember. He tends to be a director nowadays, rather than a hands-on developer, that means he guides the development of games and as such he can afford to promote the company.
