I realise quite a few people play Guild Wars on these boards and Mario 114 suggested we make a guild. I personally dont have GW at the moment, i am going to order it this week and transfer my Factions character so i can jump right in. If anyone's intreseted post here with ideas e.t.c, I'm quite new to the game so im not ideal for a leader, someone else can fill that position.:grin:

Yeer I would be very intrested in a RE guild, I have only played for a couple of hours around a friends, so don't know much about it, I have the collectors edtion version (havn't even put it on my pc yet).
I think alot of people stopped palying whilst exams were on, hopefully people will start to play again and interest will pick up. Prospect of an R-E guild is pretty cool :heh:

Is this for the first one, because i'll be well interested, ive been wanting friends tobe in a guild for ages. i swapped and changed guild loads because of inactivity in them. damn but if i join the guild then i'll have to abandon mine which i spent money on acape. The Evil Monkeys of Satan, hehe.
I wonder can you change the name of the guild......im gonna go check.
nope you cant.....gonna have to get my money back some other way.

Yer but if people own different you cant meet up so i'll but the original as i have factions at the moment. Can i transfer my Factions character straight across without having to make another character on Prophecies and getting to the Lions Arch?

hmm healing breeze is a pretty standard yet decent healing spell, umm healing hands (its from original game so i dunno if you can get, although most of the skills just seem to be replicas of original skills to make it fair i suppose) thats all i can think of right now.

Made a Ranger/Elementalist and started again but i cant remember where im up to.

Fire Ele/Healer monk.

Find it a good combination so i can stay at the back with some massive combos and spam the quick recharge spells whilst healing my team.:)

when you get to a city called Lions Arch on the original (about 1/4 of the way through the game possibly less) you can take a boat to the factions continent assuming you have bought factions.

Am I right in thinking I have to do some missions before I can meet up with people after a certian time peroid or something?

Edit: There is a error when I try and sign up, it says the code is invailed, I have tried loads of combiantions of what it might be as there 8's and B's look one and the same. I went on the tec help thingy, so hopefully it will be sorted out soonish.

Make sure to use capital letters, and yeah you will have to do a few quests, then you'll be in the same land/world/universe/whatever as all of us.

Yeer I did all in caps etc. I emailed them and had to send varuis other codes and pictures of my card etc, they said it may take a few days before I'll be able to play. :(

Edit: got the code through, and am now starting the quests.

Edit: It keeps resetting itself, I think I need a new graphics card fan, and some more ram...

Touch ranger is a Ranger/Necro, for alliance battles mainly, they're weak, but they spam a ton of vampiric necro touch skills on a enemy. Chasing you till your dead

Just like me, I couldn't even find how to put my sheild on. I will try and turn down the spec if it's possible, as the same thing happens with rome total war, it will over heat my pc and cause it to reset, but with spec on lowest it works ok.

We need to find out which game most people own, name and cape style and contribute money towards it. If you want to be in the guild say which game you own. I guess were gonna have to make the guild according to the majority of people that play either game. Anyway im playing Gw;F.

If it's pretty much split, we would make a GW and Gw:F guild.

If you make a Guild In guild WArs Factions dont you have to own that game to join that guild seen as the hall will be in that game?? :wtf:

If you become Kurzik, you can become part of our alliance. And unless you guys are pretty good at the game, it would be best for you to just buy a sigil. 19K at the moment.

I made a hell of alot from some rares I found. I got lot's for a gold bow way back when, but I can't think of any concrete ways. I guess you could farm with henchmen. And sigils can be purchased at that battlefield where you win the favor of the gods and such. (Sorry, my knowledge is dwindling due to over a year of absense.)

You really need to know what you're selling, and how valuable it is. I went to a forum to sell my rares as an auction forum type thing. I can't remember the site, but it was really useful.

Or missions if you have got to them, i can't remember exactly how much xp they give but it's a few thousand at least if you get all the time bonuses.

Just got the game this morning and I#ve never seen two hours pass so quickly before.

I chose to be a Ranger and she's great. I, as expected, suck at this game and have laready died 4 times and I'm currently back at the monastery after killing some yeti.

I can hear it tempting me to play again... but alas, I have other things to do...

I just had to install the game again, as i rebooted. Man i realy want to play but i have no time right now. If only they didnt realease Factions we'd all have the sam game and we could all meet up and own in the Guild battles.
I have a thing of finisheing one before getting or playing another. So i wont be geting Factions for a long time.
Sarka, i remember those moments when i first got it.
I would rush home to pay, forget my homework, or rush it before, then play it all night. From when i get home 4 ish till about 9 or 10. The time flew by.
also i remember listening to hellogoodbye on my cd payer while playing it, damn that band songs are so addictive to sing to.
So has anyone actually started this yet, the guild i mean?
(has anyone got the colectors edition of Factions? I'm wondering if its worth the £45 gameplay and shops are asking for)

For some reason it crasses my pc after about 2 mins of play, I think it's a pc fault rather than the game, but games like cs:s work ok, and DOD was ok (when I had a fan next to the pc). It's really annoying me as I want to play it. Hopefully I'll have it sorted out soon.

i have waaaaay too many games to play-most of my DS collection remains uncompleted, as does my gamecube collection and PS2 games as well. now ive just gone and bought a bloody 360 and i've started on guild wars again with LukeLee-jesus i dont have enough time to do all this!!!

i think i need to put some order to this chaos-play 360 for 3 hours a day, play DS for one, GC for one and Guild Wars for a couple a day. should leave enough time to shower, shave, eat, sleep and take breaks!

why am i oddly happy i dont have a summer job right now hehe

anywho say hi if you see a certain 'Kam Lee' or 'Sophie Arborial' running around in GW :D (im still sub level 10 with my new character :( )

I'm not a noob, ive had the game well over a couple of years. surei havnt played in probably one of those and know nothing aout the classes, what are good builds and what all those words mean like spamming stuff, but im not a noob.
Once this gets set off it could turn out right, its just a shame that some have one and others have the other.

And you've had the game for years? LOL. I'll leave no comment on that..

Anyway, to actually beat other guilds, and get fairly high ranked your going to need to have an advanced GvG team..
You NEED to know about different builds, and you need to be able to create your own which are very effective.

This could turn out okay.. But with the members being new to GW. And even with you, becoming a successful guild would be difficult.

I thought the guild thing was just going to be something fun for people on R-E- to get together and have fun on.
Not some uber ultra competitive type-a-thing in which the sole aim was to be the ultimate bestest ever and destroy all other guilds etc.

Sadly, when I get the game (about a weeks time) I will be a n00b but hey, we all gots to start somewhere right?

thats a very good point, also, as members gain more experience in the game they will get more familiar with builds and stuff. I would just like to say that I am no newb either, having 75k armour (and yes i know its not as good as fow but hey) and a fairly good knowledge of builds etc.

Yay. Just ordered Guild Wars: Special Edition from Game for £20. I should have it hopefully tommorow or the day after.

Any tips or advice for a beginner?
Like what classes would you recommend etc as I don't want to foolishly choose a class which comes back to haunt me later.

It all depends on how you want to play. You get to choose two classes/styles of fighting. The first choice defines your look. My character is ranger/warrior.

some classes suit each other like Necro/Mesmer i found is good, and Elementalist/ Monk or Elementalist/Necro. just decide if you want to do magic or fighting then decide what type you want to do but yeah you need to make sure your character looks apealing to you lol

Huh? you can acess the new professions from the upcoming game Guild Wars Nigthfall until the end of today i think. Create a new pvp character and try them out.

Been on Cs and forgot about trying Paragon. What's it like?

You can solo without spirits for general farming. But with bosses, solo spirits are essential.

I don't really like GW for one of the reasons it's so unique-the level cap. Also the story and world cannot complete with wow for me. . . anywho . . . i bid you goodbye, goodbye!
