I havent seen anywhere yet that will accept pre-orders mostly because Nintendo havent set a date or price yet. Make no mistake as soon as you can pre-order I will.

Yeah they are you put your name down and when they know the price and date then you give your 10% deposit

Hopefully they will do a midnight launch thing, I would definitly be there! Once my local GAME store will take in preorders, I'll definitly be there.

I'm not sure when exactly i'm going to pre-order mine. I want to know what will be available at launch first. Price and games are the essentials. And, then maybe bundles, special deals, etc.

Nintendo has got an event in Germany called Leipzig Games Convention on 24 - 27 August 2006 or they wii say it at Tokyo Gameshow on 22 - 24 September 2006

Game are not taking pre-orders, just "register your interest" like thing. Our store has five people on the list, three of them work there.

I registered my interest over at Game , gameplay , amazon and play. Overkill perhaps , but will definately be pre-ordering once the option to is available.

I pre-ordered mine at EB games. Not that it is nesasary in order to get one, most people here in Denmark buy Playstation ore Xbox.

gonna preorder at...game or gamestation, not decided where yet, depends.
I might wait until somehwere does a good bundle deal.
HMV might do a good deal seen as though loads of nintendo things are held there, liek the etroid thing, nintendogs launch or something.
they may get something special

Ive ordered mine at "Toys R Us" in Australia. They are having a big promo, signs averywhere. It includes a free Wii release game.

They stated release will be early November.

I'll pre-order it at my local gamestore once the price is revealed. I think it's still soon enough then although even demand for the GC was high at launch day here.

Same here. I've always used Gameplay! but somethings telling me to go for my local Gamestation or Game.

I'm worried we may have snow and it will delay delivery if i preorder from Gameplay....

Also Gameplay didn't do bundles with the 360 for example and i want to try and save as much as possible as theres quite a few games i like the look off. Oh and it won't come a day earlier, consoles never do!

mmmm. I think your going to be in for a shock.

I believe there will be more demand for this then the 360 and less supply. It will be the Xmas gift of 2006.

I'm running to my local shop immediately when preorders open! :awesome:

You usually get stuff early from gameplay not game.Game don't usually send things our early unless you canceled your order from gameplay and ordered it from game and I picked it up wrong.

Cool ,I never get games early from them.I think the only game I actually got early from them was WW which was a week odd early.Nice surprise but hasn't happened to me since.

I don't think I'll pre-order it anytime soon. Maybe a few weeks before launch, but otherwise I'll just walk into the shop and buy it. It's not going to sell out, especially here.

What're the pros and cons of buying from the internet? I've always gone to get my consoles from my local GAME on launch day.

Preordering on the internet has the usually has the advantage of being cheaper than when buying from the high street (gcn games cost around £30 on the internet). Its also less hassle.

However, if you dont use 1st class delivery on most sites then it doesnt usually arrive for about a week (this is the case with amazon anyway).

Well for the Dreamcast, GBA and Gamecube I've always pre-ordered from GAME and I'll probably do the same for the Wii.

It's great going in on Launch day (may even go in at midnight for the Wii) and seeing the console and games on the shelves!!

Pre-ordered my PS2 at the end of September 2000, had it on launch day. and that system was hyped!
I didn't pay a penny, and GAME won't be earning months of interest of a non refundable £20 deposit.

I'll probably order it online (Amazon/Gameplay) if they don't do a Nintendo stars VIP Wii as a thank you to get some hype out there pre-launch.

Launch parties are good but only if GAME don't ask for a £20 deposit.

The deposit is refundable, we refunded one (for a DS Lite) yesterday.

Even if it is refundable it is still a principle, that £20 could be in my bank earning me a quarter or a penny interest.

If Amazon/Gameplay don't charge me for expressing my interest in their custom then GAME shouldn't either.

But Game, with the 360 at least (as its not clear on stock levels for the Lite) were the only store (the site is a different company) who got a 360 for their pre-ordered customers. The £20 comes off in the end. And if you put a deposit down on Monday, you wouldn't earn any interest prior to Friday anyway.
