PayPal - Credit and Debit Card Payments

I'm selling some things on ebay, and have recently opened a Personal PayPal account to receive funds.

I'm not sure about the charges for people who pay by card tho - will I be charged to receive these payments? How do i know if a winning bidder will be paying by card through paypal and me charged?

They take a small some if paid by card. Think its 5%, you will know if they paid by card because next to the amount you've received it will say so much under the heading Fee.

If I request buyers NOT to pay by card would i be charged?

I'm pretty sure it's a 3% charge... You get charged for all payments, doesn't matter how they send it, whether it's in their Paypal account already or coming from a credit/debit card.
