Apparently the PS3 will be capable of converting PSOne games to play on the PSP. So says the Sony rep during his Sony propaganda.

I know that was sarcasm (wasn't exactly disguised) but it makes sense. Up until now no way of getting PS1 games on the PSP has been announced (as far as im aware anyway). Plus if a company can make you pay more to do something, they will.

Ape escape 1 was a dualshock only game. But there aren't many.

And I found out that they have bought the licese to Endorphin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdImUIhbG9E)2.5

Nippon Ichi Talks PS3

In an interview about Disgaea 2, Nippon Ichi Producer Shinkawa gave us a few more details on their upcoming PS3 game, Makai Wars. Well, not so much "details" as "don't expect this for a while." He says that the game is not really far in development yet and to be patient. He explains that their next title, after Disgaea 2, will be on the PS2 and that they have five upcoming titles in total. More interesting was his take on graphics:

DPS: When you move to PS3, will you continue to use sprites and pictures?
Shinkawa: Yes. It is very good at capturing the anime art style. To be honest, you can say our technology is PS-level when we developed for the PS2, and SFC level when we worked on the PS. So yup, maybe we will get to PS2 level when we move to the PS3! (laughter) Seriously, we hope to please users with the meat of our games - the content. We have also received many comments that are both for-and-against. (3D vs sprites) At the moment the encouragement to continue with our present style is very strong. Nippon Ichi shall move on the path that Nippon Ichi wants to go.

Expect the same art you know and love when the PS3 comes out. Nice to see there are companies who still know the beauty in 2D sprites.

I'm the same.

I can't see myself getting one if it's £400+, but we'll see. The games for me, at the moment, aren't bad but aren't drawing me in.

I'll have to read up on the PS3 launch games which are hopefully announced next week.

Oh and one thing which will help me decide is what games are out for the Wii at launch. The More i want, the less likely i'll get a PS3.

It seems that MGS4 is THE title everyone wants for the PS3, thing is I dont think that I will buy a console just for 1 game anymore. I think youll get both, if cheap means 'equal to the 360 premium pack price'. Sony knows they have to compete head-on with MS with a reasonable launch price and get machines in as many homes as possible if they expect to to start turning a profit.

It would be a really nasty sucker punch from Sony if they rip off Nintendo’s controller. Sorry my fault, i never knew they had moved the conference forward two hours, fixed now. I'm sure Sony have something up their sleves but i don't think it will be a motion sensitive control i don't think they'd have had the time to change the hardware to implament it, at least not in way Nintendo is gonna use it. But if it did happen i may have a heart attack.

It is odd that they're not gonna have playable PS3 at E3, with this being the last E3 before the system is released you'd think Playable systems would be a priority.

Does anyone know if they sorted the problem of the "insides" of the PS3 not fitting into the "console" they've been showing off?

Everything will be revealed. Price, release dates, games, etc. Lots of promos and stuff too.

It'll be awesome. SquareEnix already leaked an actual in-game shot from the upcoming Final Fantasy game. It's incredible - this baby will sell, sell, sell just from the sheer detail they put in the game.
