Here's something I've wanted to know for ages:
Is Q Entertainment's new DS game pronounced Mee-tee-oss or Mee-tee-ose? I can't figure it out!
Speaking of which, is their other PSP games pronounced Loo-meens or Lu-mynes ?
Anyone know, or I am the only one wondering how to pronounce them? :)

I say both for some reason, but I think it is supposed to be oss.

I say meeteose, pluaralising meteo!! Though Meteoss sounds more like a planet!

I'm not rationalising it very well :P

I call it Mete-oss. Meteose sounds like a breakfast cereal.

I don't like the game much, though.

And it would be Lu-mynes...Yknow, cos that's how it's spelled.
LumInEs (pray to the magic E biatch!!)

And yes, I also think met-eeos sounds like a breakfast cereal...a VERY un-vegetarian breakfast cereal!

I believe Meteos is properly pronounced

"Meaty - oh's"

Lu-me-nose is the correct pronunciation if you're going for the Japanese way of saying it. They pronounce all their "o"'s like that as far as I'm aware.

And yeah, Lumines in Japanese would be pronounced lu-me-nes (or lu-me-ne-su, technically, but they often cut the last sound, as seen in words like desu or gozaimasu).

Of course, it's only logical you'd pronounce it how it made sense in your particular vocabulary. Otherwise you're be playing "Zeruda: Minitsu kapu" or whatever.

What really gets me is when people say meet-roid for Metroid though.
