Things that i found interesting;
- Nintendogs is the fastest selling new franchise ever!! Faster than Pokemon!!
- I had forgotten Famitsu rated it 40/40! (Well done again Nintendogs!)
Has anyone seen any advertising for the game? There's less than 2 weeks until launch and i haven't seen a thing!
I thought it was going to be a huge advertising campaign, with TV adverts between Nintendo and dog charities!

Well they sponsor a channel 4 show called 'It's me or the Dog' every wednesday which is quite good, despite the advert being a bit, should I saym soft. "Get ready for a very very very good dog" :hmm: lol
Anyway, they also sponsor those dog companies, as for main TV adverts i hope they have some soon, because that would really increase the hype. TV adverts work so well, look at the ipod nano advert, days after its first shown on TV I hear tons of people saying they want one despite not knowing much about it.

They should have a massive terrestrial TV ad campaign. It would make so many more people who wouldn't know about it otherwise buy it.

Yeah, but I knew most of the facts, AND PLEASE RENT BEFORE YOU BUY!!! You can thank me after three days when you're bored and never want to play again!

Nintendogs sponsor a dog programme on Channel 4 (think it must be "It's Me Or the Dog", 8.30pm on Wednesdays) and I've seen a few posters and postcards in GAME, etc. but apart from that haven't seen much advertising either.
I read on NOE that they've teamed up with Bakers Complete too:
"Nintendo and Bakers Complete, the UK’s number one complete dry dog food, are joining forces for the launch of the latest gaming craze to sweep the world – Nintendogs.
In the first ever video game / dog food partnership the joint through the line promotion will see Nintendogs featured on over 1.5 million packs of Bakers Complete from October this year. Money off vouchers for Bakers products will also be included in copies of Nintendogs for anyone who picks up the game at the UK launch on 7 October."
You're supposed to be able to win one of 100 Nintendo DS Nintendogs prize packs but there's nothing on the Bakers Complete website. Does anyone buy this dog food - is there anything in the actual packages of food?

They will have a massive advertising campaign don't you worry your pretty little faces, but there's no point advertising until the product is out, or out shortly. No point telling people about Nintendogs if they can't buy it. Remember, those non-gamers are fickle.

What I haven't seen anywhere is whether or not the UK release will be compatible with the US release? In other words, will they be able to talk (bark?) to each other and exchange items etc.

They sponser channel 4's "It's Me or the Dog" on Tommorrow at 8.30
And they are sponsering Pedigree dog food.
There was an article about it the Telegraph
I cant believe that NOM only gave nintendogs 90%. it desrves at least 97

97 means almost perfect, and I can find alot of things I would improve if there was to be a sequel.

i dont think so. 90 is a more than adequate scoreTell that to Famitsu!
Seriously it's an awesome game, I've played it every day for over 4 weeks now and I’m still enjoying it immensely. Sure there will be a few that won't like it, but I'd be willing to bet most people will love it, especially those that want DS games to take advantage of the touch screen and the mic, no game makes better use of those features than Nintendogs.

I'm with you totally. I've been playing it everyday for 3-4 weeks and I'm getting into it more and more each day. It truly is a great game.
There are some things wrong with it, but for everything wrong there are 20 GREAT things. I'm not worried, I'm just enjoying one of the best gaming experiences I've had for years. It has great potential for a sequel - which inevitably will happen. Nintendogs Online? I'm willing to bet whole pounds that this will be announced by E3 2006. Also stuff like taking your dog to the vet, improving existing things, improving games. Lots that can be done.
I would give it 90% but a higher recommendation than any other game around at the moment on any platform. There's something about Nintendogs that transcends scoring.

I'm thinking there's a nice space for a mic attachment on the bottom of that controller.
Just imagine it, the most realistic looking puppies and the ability to interact with them using even better voice recognition and the movement of the controller.
