Does anyone know what's going on with Lost in Blue?
Every site I look at has a different release date, Nintendo's UK (http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/games/gamepage.do?ElementId=rU5cU2EHFkDe6ZsYAusWxJuRVc0x Nbaz) site has it down for the 10th of November, (must be wrong as that's a Thursday) Play (http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=search&searchtype=DS&searchstring=Lost+in+Blue&page=search&Go.x=31&Go.y=6) have it listed for the 14th of October, (a Friday so that makes a bit more sense) Gameplay (http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=DS0078) say it's the 28th of October and Amazon UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000AM1LCO/qid%3D1127735505/026-7335673-3156448) state a November 25th release date!
IGN (http://ds.ign.com/objects/695/695633.html) say it's out tomorrow (in the US) and VGP (http://www.videogamesplus.ca/product_info.php?products_id=8830&osCsid=61eb4532ec19dc3fb6cacdaf90ba84a3) have the same date. It seems odd though as surely IGN would have reviewed it by now if it is indeed out tomorrow.
Any thoughts?...

That's the reason why I didn't add it to the DS release dates thread, because of the conflicting dates. I'll see if I can get a definite date for it tomorrow when I'm at work.
It better be coming out in the USA this week! lol
Also i'm positive 27/09/05 is the shipping date to retailers not the actual date it's on sale in the USA, hopefully wrong though.

This game better be good and long. I'm fed up of building my hopes up for games only to have them dashed with a half finished game (ahem, Nanostray).

It's bound to get more sales, as it's got the word "lost" in it, and has people stranded.

I'm not sure about that, there doesn’t seem to be too much interest in this game, I can't even find a review for it. :hmm:

Hey Colin, any luck with finding out about the release date?

Nah, I called in ill today for work (got a cold), but I'm in tomorrow. I did have it on my head this morn, so I won't forget tomorrow.
Just to let people know aswell, that VGP+ are selling Lost In Blue for £18.40, so with delivery that should come to around £21.........it's a steal at that price.

Except for the fact that we know pretty much nothing about the quality of the game, I mean it could be a complete turkey and the fact that there are no reviews or hype surrounding it doesn’t really fill me with confidence.
Mind you we are talking just over £20 so I might take the risk.

Famitsu gave it a rating of 34/40 I think. Plus there's not alot of games like this or the previous Survival Kids, so in that respect it maybe worth a goose.

Games Press don't have a date which usually means that the publisher hasn't decided yet.

Lost In Blue Found In Stores
September 28, 2005

Konami has announced that they have started shipping Lost In Blue for the Nintendo DS.
Konami has recently announced that they have begun shipping Lost in Blue for the Nintendo DS.
This innovative RPG styled game places gamers in the center of a deserted island where they are forced to survive using their basic instincts. To live off the island, the two children must fish, hunt, trap animals, and even cook for themselves.
In addition, Konami has packed the game full of minigames which will utilize the unique properties of the Nintendo DS.
"Lost In Blue takes full advantage of the DS as it provides a gaming experience that is filled with all different types of adventures and surprises," said Jason Enos, Product Manager at Konami Digital Entertainment - America. "By providing an ever-changing storyline with tremendous replay value, the title delivers a stimulating and inventive style of gameplay that is sure to make it one of the major surprises for the new system."
This 'inventive' style of gameplay will be truly be shown with Lost in Blue. The game introduces the concept of 'closing the lid' of the system while cooking; simulating that of a real grill. If the lid is closed for too long, the player's food will be burnt; left open for long, the food will still be raw.
Rated E10+", Lost in Blue will retail for $29.99 and will be arriving in retail locations shortly. Be sure to check back with DS Advanced shortly for our final word on this game, as well as continued coverage of the entire gaming industry.

Well I found a review, if you can call it that:
1up.com review (http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3144161&did=1)
Not very informative is it?
Still they claim it's not the proper review but why give a score if that's the case.
Also for some strange reason on VGP they now say the game was added to the catalogue on Wednesday 30 March 2005.
Huh!?

It's down for release on November 11th. I'm pretty sure that's the final date for Europe, so I would say to go by that.

Haha, that review was an awesome read, if a little lacking in detail.

So is it a sequel to Stranded Kids, or the same idea?
I love the idea, no matter what. And I also love using the touch screen, so I might get it. But my budget is tight, and I have alot I wanna buy.

OK Cheers mate, but I think I'll probably import it.

Maybe they were just late obtaining stock, have you checked your account on the site as it'll be updated there before the e-mail gets sent.
I haven't ordered it anyway as I just got Advance Wars today, that'll keep me busy for a while! Plus I want to get some more impressions of Lost in Blue before I decide to buy it, so please let me know what you think when you receive it.
^ Ok i try! It states on their website that it will be in stock today, so hopefully it will ship later tonight! :awesome:

I still need to read some more about this, because IGN gave another 6 and I loved the game so that review means nothing. The concept of the game is nice, but I suppose its hard to pull off
