Next edition of EDGE to be revolution special?

Looks like the revolution announcement and its hardware will be covered in some detail in the next edition of EDGE. This month's had nothing on it or anything else at TGS (announcement too close to going to press, I guess) but the "next month" page has an incredibly cool-looking blue light strip from the revolution console on essentially a black page.

Perhaps next month will provide further insight? One to watch out for, definitely.

Edge are always incredibly supportive of all consoles as long as there is something GOOD about them. They had an online article that was exceedingly positive - perhaps that's what people refer to when they mention Edge talking about Revolution.

The current EDGE features Joanna Dark on the front. I'm a subscriber and I only just got it this weekend. Next month's will be the revolution one, probably with loads of TGS reports and exclusives.

hmm... maybe iv let my memories of edge take over, as i do remember them not being too gracious to nintendo but i will admit i haven't read it in about two years. maybe i was being a bit too fanboy-ish since that was around the time i had just invested in my first ever nintendo home console ;)

i must say it is refreshing to hear they are supporters of nintendo, as i have heard from friends of mine that they thought their writers were a bit too pro-ps2... i will await the next issue to happily have myself proven wrong :) (may even buy this months...)

as one of their readers says "i'm sold", only this time i'm sold on edge's enthusiasm for the revo's controller! i am truly over-the-moon at the positive response they have posted on this truly innovative new start for ninty! :D

yay i bought a copy of edge in the airport going to spain a couple of months back. it was the only gaming magazine in therer and I HAD to have something to occupy me on the plain. but the only thing was it had a ps3 on the front of it!!! so I still bought it nowing it was going to be crap and guess what... it was

I checked the new issue of EDGE today, and damn. i was actually looking foward to it, 'cause I was under the impression that they were going to have a full article on the Revolution and it's controller for this months issue -- oh well. Guess i'll just need to wait until October 27th, for the next one.

Makes sense for the official one to be revealing it first.

Especially if the game ends up being a bit of a let down DD style.

This month's issue is all about Perfect Dark and Kameo. Despite not being about Revolution, I'm still going to purchase a copy, as it looks like a good read. What you will notice however, is on the back page where is says "Next Month" the page is purely black with a vertical blue luninous line in the centre. If this doesn't subliminally shout "REVOLUTION" then I must have been on a different planet this week.

According to my acquaintance that reads Gamesmaster magazine, people were writing in before the controller was revealed saying they thought Nintendo were heading in the right direction. Which is wierd since it's usualy a bunch of asses that write in saying "PS2 rulez0rs the big 1111".

what struck me about this issue of EDGE (the first one i've read in over two years!) was the coverage of the German videogame show. seems like the xbox launch won't be the phenomenal event microsoft would like us all to believe (and will no doubt cover up at launch with over-the-top crap!). EDGE found it very suspicious that after a key-note speech that left a lot of unanswered questions that they didn't answer any!

and it seems very little will be available at launch at all, and they seem dispproving of the two-tier approach of two machines at different prices.

My guess is that it will have ino on the Rev and the PS3, the cells can only be about the PS3 CELL surely?!

Just to clear things up, that pic isn't of the cover, it's just the inside back cover of the current issue informing folks about the upcoming issue.

It won't be that exact picture on the cover of the new issue.
