Let the rumours begin.

I have heard three stories so far.

1)OMG Microsoft are gonna tap up Shigsy!!
2)OMG Microsoft and Nintendo are gonna team up!!!
3)OMG Shigsy is hot!!!

Which one is it people?

Note: Miyamoto and his handlers were both wearing headsets so they could make snarky remarks about the Xbox 360 in Japan and the time Mario kicked Sonic's ass.

Awesome lol. Personally I think he was just interested to see what the rival comapnies had to show.

it is a trade show. at any other trade show companies check out the competition. why is this so different?

I think it's good for him if he wanders around to see what else is on offer. As Mike-Zim said, it's a trade show, so it's not uncommon for people to do this.
There's probably been a few people from Microsoft checking out the Wii booth, as well.

Yeah Moore did state that before E3 was over he wanted to do a few things, one of them was "playing with the NintendoWii" so yeah, I find it interesting though that Miyamoto chose to go to the Microsoft Booth this year considering that usually, when Iwata or him are asked they usually say "we don't have much time to visit other booths"; or "I haven't been able to watch/I don't know what the competition is showing" but now, well they are making more time.
