That is the Nürburgring, and it does indeed have graffiti on a lot of parts... That's my brother in his 1.7 Turbo Diesel Mark 4 Vauxhall Astra Estate... it's a company car and he caned the living shit out of it on the Nürburgring, i've got a video....

That is one huge positive that Mac OS X has going for it, its desktop composition thingy, Quartz EXTREME or whatever they call it.

That allows fully scalable effects to be rendered on the graphics card.

Longhorn should have it (DCE, Desktop Composition Engine) but yeah, it's a game of catch up in that regard.

That theme is the one that comes with Media Center. However you can download it for XP. Its called "Royale" and you can get it from the MS site.

It could be a TV style screen, in which case that's the correct resolution for it.

Huge PC LCDs with high resolutions are much more costly.

Well, the glass look in the IM Contacts is actually a Trillian skin. The sidebars and stuff around the icons are actually added in manually by me into the wallpaper in the background.

I finally fine-tuned my desktop to a nice simplsitic setup:
The icons are hidden (there are only a couple hidden for program running purposes).
I just moved the mquick launch to the left and made the icons bigger et voila! icons gone. Nice clean desktop. I forgot what skin im using though... wallpaper from some site i found on a google.
EDIT: The quality is better than this really. The quick launch bar automatically hides itself too
