It also depends on the TV too, as for me the PS3 looks clearer on HDMI than the 360 on component. Just seems that little sharper, also 720p also looks better too, there's some weird thing I get with the 360 on 720p, more jaggies seem to appear on that resolution.

The americans on xbox live (most of them) need to be shot, alot.

My first time on xbox live was with perfect dark zero, everytime I spoke I got "ohhh would you like a cup of tea with the queen, how about some cucumber sandwiches?". I really hate them.

Saints Row is fuckin turd imo. Just a poor GTA wannabe that completely lacked the GTA humour, interactivity and plot. Sure it had some ideas, but they were poorly executed and the gameplay was not up to par. Plus it has to be the biggest "Wigger" game I have ever seen, I mean Chinese kids and white kids holding AK47's? I dont think so. Least GTA is realistic to what gangs exsist out there.

It IS good because of the detail that went into making it look a lot like the stuff in the films. I'm not saying it's the best game ever, just that it IS fun. I'm having more fun playing this than i had playing CoD3 or Gears probably.

The combat is at least miles better than GTAs and you can actually create your own fugly character as well. Well I've been reading about some problems with GTA 3 and San Andreas since I haven't played it myself but most people say that these GTA clones fixes most of it's problems, so they should of learned their mistakes by now. I've only tried the Saints Row demo and I like it, but I got Scarface on the Wii instead for my taste of a "Sandbox" game before GTA 4 comes out.

It shouldn't really be some hi res GTA 3 or San Andreas with new weapons, cars, missions etc.

Anyway I've been bored of my 360 lately still got EDF to complete maybe I should go complete that and Project Sylpheed is probably my favourite game on the system despite the reviews, it's frustrating but very enjoyable and rewarding.

The combat is so fun in Saints Row. The stamping on a person feels "good" (in a sadistic kind of way )

Just watched a few videos and I still cant get into it, looks like it will be Blue Dragon for me come August 24th. Speaking of which I played the demo again yesterday and started to get the hang of the battle system.

I was just press A not seeing that I could actually decide when I wanted to attack and how powerful it was going to be, made things alot clearer after that. I didnt get to finish it due to being called to GoW but I will be giving it another shot very soon.

Go to Hotmail and make an account with your region and address/postal code/phone number etc. all American and then when that's set up, use it to set up a new gamertag on your 360 that has Silver membership. Free content ahoy!

According to a recent Bungie announcement in Amsterdam, Halo 3 will indeed have 4-player co-op. One player will take the role of Master Chief, another will be The Arbiter and the last two (the suckers) will be Elites. Whether or not Bungie will be renaming "Elite" to "kid not picked in gym class" is still unknown.

I'm suddenly looking forward to Halo 3 a lot more...though finding three people to play through the title may be a bit tough. Now to commence my work on self-cloning. I knew there was a purpose to my bountiful blessing of body hair.

45nm chips could reduce costs and heating

One of the contractors responsible for manufacturing CPU's for the Xbox 360 has revealed that it is currently working on a 45-nanometer design, due for release late next year or early in 2009.

A smaller CPU for the Xbox 360 would help reduce manufacturing costs for Microsoft, as well as produce less heat in the console itself.

"We have customers' activity for products in the CPU space that goes into a video game device," said Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing's CEO Chia Song Hwee, reports PC Advisor.

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing has previously produced 90nm and 65nm versions of the Xbox 360 processor.

"As 65nm just started production in the last two quarters, you would expect 45nm to come on stream about 18 months from that timeframe," offered Chia, refering to an expected production timeframe.

yes they support HDMI, it's jsut a better way of processing HD signals, it doesn't compress the signal, it's not a different type of video format.

And Baboo, i would defiantly get a Elite, HDMI is awsome, alot better than component as it upscales and far better than VGA. Also you have the 120GB HDD and about the reliability. All the UK elites come with the new Heatsinks for the GPU so it's better than the premium and the launch ones might be coming with the 65nm chips, if not they wont be far away.

I think the Halo bundle is pretty cool you get the HDMI slot and all the Halo stuff but only a 20GB hardrive. The only downside to me is you don't get Halo 3 with it.

The game was originally scheduled to ship in the middle of October, but "due to additional development time required to complete the title" the game has been pushed back.

Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two clarified in a statement that "Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms."

Adding additional financial stress to Take-Two was updated guidance, with Manhunt 2 for Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP moved out of fiscal 2007 altogether, with no new release date provided.

360>PC for most people who don't have a PC capable of running it at full pelt. Plus achievements and i think it'll play better with a controller-though you probs can use the 360 controller on PC. And the special ed is just for the 360 version.

Only genre where i prefer keyboard and mouse to a controller is with RTS's and strategy games like that.

Could be a version of Quake 3 Arena using the original Quake engine, that'd fit in 250MB.

Quake would look, extremely rough.
Sprite based enemies in Doom looked alright, but polygon based would look... fairly bad. Then again Half-Life 1 used the Quake 1 engine.

I presume you're talking about on our forums.

It's exactly that, we have a feedback system. Don't trade with people unless you think you can trust them and have known them for a while. Make sure they have posted more than once. Get a picture of the item. If selling, don't send until you receive the money.

Nah but have you read the preview of Halo in OXM yet? Never knew that there are more Spartans in Halo 3. This is why I want to read the books as they are apparently in them aswell.
