Revolution's resolution

Maybe some of the more tech-savvy could help us out here - but I've just been playing the N64 Zelda ROMs on the N64 PC emulator at a resolution of 1280x1024x32 and by Christ, do they look great. These are N64 games, nothing has been changed except the resolution pumped up to suit my PC monitor, but they look fantastic. If you bring them down to 800x600 or lower, they look shite again.

My question is, I wonder what resolution the Revolution will run at? Should there be a need for HD display if the resolution is even way higher than 1080i/1080p?

Considering it's supposed to be able to get connected to PC monitors it should at least be able to pump 1280x1024 pixels (though likelier 1600x1200), and then HD is not far off. If you want to play those resolutions on a TV you will need a HD socket, so they will have to include it.

I heard that a Revolution game could be projected onto Pluto's icy surface and there would be little to no quality lost.
