But anywho, seems like Channel Four has listened to the "suggestions" (ie complaints) about season two of Lost's original July date, and bumped it forward to Tuesdays; starting May 2nd. It will also now be aired at 10pm, with E4 "First Look" at 11pm.

And before people start hinting about already seeing it and such, shhhhhhh.

Aha. Well we're still waiting on new episodes from Desperate Housewives here, so yeah. No idea when they're going to show those. But I guess we're lucky here that these three shows are on three different channels (fuck Big Brother though >.>; ), so they don't feel like they have put it in blocks for ratings.

It sort of slipped my mind just how outstanding this show is. I mean, I knew there was quality to be had, and I remember all the good times pretty vividly, but this is truly, truly outstanding. I don't know if anyone else here is re-watching the first season on E4 but I'm getting absorbed in a level of detail that just sort of washed over me the first time round. I am about three steps away from writing fan fiction. And as an audio-visual experience, so sensual. I'm at a point where I hear Sayeed rustle through some plantlife or whatever with his torturing equipment and bits of me tingle.

HAHAHA, we people in Ireland have been watching series two for the last two months (we also had series one before E4, and after the first 3 months they started showing 2 new eps every Monday, hope they start to do the same with series two), most definalty the only good desicion RTE (Irish tv) made.

Anyway, for those of you dying for series two, you won't be dissapointed. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you thought series one was mind wrecking and left you with many questions at the end, the answers to those questions just lead to MANY more questions.

I don't think so, on Sky in Ireland, RTE is on channels 101 and 102, in the UK those channels are BBC, although we (in Ireland) also get BBC Northern Ireland on Sky channels 143 and 144, so maybe they do have RTE on those channels in the UK and don't know it?

I've seen upto about ep 8 of season 2 and it was good at the start but then started to drift off a bit much like season 1 did. I can't get anymore eps for it because I can't access that unholiest of all things here on the uni halls network. Can't find any direct downloads of it either :(
Very frustrating and very difficult not to go read spoilers because I hear it's all really heating up in the newer episodes.

Anyway, hopefully the full season dvd will be out in the states not long after it starts here and i'll just g et that like I did with season 1. Yay!

Echo (sp?) is even cooler than Locke if that's possible. He's so much better in this than in the 50 Cent film (which my friend smade me go to - some friends they are). Episode 7 is the bes tone I think, the catch-up episode from the other people who survived the crash. "Lockdown" was really good too. From about 9-14 they;re a bit boring and samey though.

That Sawyer tricking Locke into giving him all the guns was genius. I have so much respect for that guy now. (Yes, I am aware he is just a character)

Anyway, the thing about S2 is that ever since they opened the hatch, the mystery has sort of gone. Sure, there are a few more questions, but the mystery of the hatch was the thing that kept you on the edge in S1. Well, imo, anyway

The thing with season 2 is this, with season 1, you had an island. thats it, then season 2, the hatch opens, episode 17 shows that there are 7 other hatches, 2 of which we have seen. its like a tree, and each branch brings many more branches. according to "henry gale" the bearded guy is nothing, there is someone bigger then him, lets not forget the black smoke that we havent seen in a while yet.

Yeah, kinda annoying, but I think it mens that Lost won't finish. It'll go on for season after season. Especially with the Rose thing. YAY!

I really miss the Locke from Season 1. He was (probably is) my favourite character but ever since the hatch opened he's gone all moody and shit. I miss him being the super cool "JUNGLE MASTER!!!1" I guess it's because he was expecting the solution to everything to be inside the hatch and instead it's just been the doorway to more problems. Kinda got a feeling he'll be back soon though, now he's got something new to obsess over - that mysterious "?" station from the blast door map.
Oh, and if they end this season how it looks like they might end it (with the timer reaching zero for real but not showing what happens after) then I think I might go crazy. I reckon Henry did press the button because he knows what happens if you don't. Maybe he's fucking with Locke's mind because he wants them to not press the button but only as soon as he's far far away.

Well, that answered some questions and presented a whole lot more. It would seem Henry holds some level of prominence with the Others. It would also seem the original inhabitants of the Island only had four toes? That was the biggest mystery in the episodes for me.

I guess that since whatever happened down in the Hatch happened, the Island somehow reappeared (it was possibly hidden before?) and that's how it was detected by the foreign guys working for Penny?

These are the connections I've made:

Jean-Jacques Rousseau theorised the idea of the noble savage, which stated that a child raised in the wilderness and left to its own accord will develop efficiently and become far 'superior' to a child raised under society in terms of ethics. You can see this in Danielle Rousseau's character as she's been isolated in the wild for so long she's developed her own set of skills and seems to be a very helpful lass.

David Hume hated induction, which he said was the result of mankind just getting used to what it's seeing. He said the future could not be predicted simply on the past, as there is no reason why the past should be like the future. Desmond's life all seems to be about change, hence the different 'past' and 'future' boxes.

John Locke coined the 'tabula raza' (blank slate), where humans did not have any innate knowledge and prior experiences, and their identity is due to what kind of decisions they make in life. You can see this in Locke in lost as when he lands on the island, his legs functions again, and he plans on leading a new life (i.e. Making a tabula rasa of himself and wiping away his past). john Locke also believed all men were born equal, which I suppose you coud craw a parallel with Johnny boy's 'Who are we to tell anyone what they can and cannot do?'.

Also, on the Hurley solipsism line, solipsism is the belief that the only thing that is real is the self, and that everything else is the product of your imagination (for example, dreaming, or being deceived by an 'evil demon'). Ever watched the Matrix? Yeah, that's pretty much solipsism.

After seeing all of season 2, I'm left here amazed, and angry. I wanted questions answered and all I got was more questions. Which is great in the sense that I can't wait for season 3, but I know they'll answer with more questions like always.

The Others, I'm now confused what their motives are. I thought they were natives trying to survive. Now they appear to be something quite different with ideas of something greater, and isn't the dude with the fake beard the army guy, then Desmonds button pal? Now that leaves me confused. And whats with the Dharma iniative, now I fell under the 'fake' trap, and I definitely thought it was when I saw the tubes in the field. But the finale left me believing the button pushing was serving a purpose. What is the aim of the iniative, it must be fake, because some poor sod wasn't pushing that forever.

After seeing all of season 2, I'm left here amazed, and angry. I wanted questions answered and all I got was more questions. Which is great in the sense that I can't wait for season 3, but I know they'll answer with more questions like always.

The Others, I'm now confused what their motives are. I thought they were natives trying to survive. Now they appear to be something quite different with ideas of something greater, and isn't the dude with the fake beard the army guy, then Desmonds button pal? Now that leaves me confused. Naa Desmond's friend (Kelvin?) and Zeek aren't the same people, although they are very alike. He is the one that released Sayeed in the desert or wherever it was though.

Great finale, i think S1's finale was more exciting, itll be interesting to see what the others have in store for jack, kate and sawyr.

They defintely aren't the same person, I've got a screen cap of them both and when compared close up they don't look the same. And one of them is definitely dead when Desmond kills him
