I just noticed this evening that you can notice that the top bar of Slimbrowser is still visable for some reason. Is there any way to stop things like this happening? I tried finding that magnet switch thingy...

Damn, you must leave your browser open a lot and never use a screensaver or turn it off, I've only seen burn in occur on pretty old CRT monitors.. Hmm...

I guess just turn the monitor off/set windows to tell it to turn off sooner than you do already, maybe turn the screen brightness down a bit, and yeah, you could try degaussing now again (which is that button thingy you were looking for).

Might be hidden in a menu on the screen or something.

Hmmm. I'll turn the screensaver on. I cannae find the Degauss button at the moment. I'll check the manual on the disc. I've only had the monitor about 3 months :<

Update, the slimbrowser thing has gone but has been replaced by the menu bar from my snes emulator, which I only played for around 10-20 minutes.

Wah.

Are we talking about potential screenburn? Or just a window frame sticking to the desktop - in a corrupt style?

If its the former, you must have a very old CRT, or somethings seriously messed.

He said he only had it 3 months.

Wow. That err.. sucks. I've never seen any monitor actually burn in temporarily like that, after such a short time.

Your right Roady, thats one thing I have never witnessed. Which is good, but bad because I feel I lack experience in addressing it.
