what were the toys crazes of your day?
my favourite toy was the common bouncy ball,i just did different tricks by rebounding it of the ceiling and floor. In fact i still find myself lost doing that to this day. One other thing i loved was a superman figure and the special thing about it was that it had a retractable head!
And lego aplenty when you came into my room to play! you realise when you step on one and it absolutely wrecks! i think weve all experienced that at one point in time?

Biker Mice got some play'ige out of me...

Along with Lego, and lego technic - i had tonnes of the stuff. And Duple when i was a younger kid.

Also, yoyo's, pogs, Pokémon cards and the tamigochi. Awesome toys.

Hmm, let's see...

-My Little Ponies and Barbies (only had like, one Barbie and a couple of ponies, but I loved playing with them for a while... until I moved over to the more boyish stuff I guess)
-Duplo, Lego and K'nex, in that order
-bouncing ball fights with my sisters
-Play-Doh
-those racing car tracks and remote controlled cars that could spin and do jumps and stuff
-model train stuff, for a short time (loved putting those houses together)

I miss being a kid sometimes.

I had all sorts of toys but I remember playing with those way too much.

Toy cars of all kinds was also a favorite.

I used to have an enormous amount of Action Man figures. I loved building camps with them. Oh man, those battles between Action Man and dr. X were epic.
I also remember playing with something that had miniature figures in a miniature cave of some sort. It was this boy with a cap and a slingshot and some evil monster. I had a rat and a spider version. Damnit, I can't think of the name! I guess you could call it the boy version of those little Polly Pocket things.

i built up a pretty impressive collection of Thundercats, Transformers and Voltron but they were regretfully destroyed when i discovered lighters and fireworks.
The thundercat lair sure could take a beating though.

While I was a kid I didn't understand the point of action figures... I mean I loved the turtles, BMFM and such, but never wanted to own an action figure. Well, guess I had a very boring childhood... Wait, no it was actually great. My NES would probably be one which I got for my 5 year birthday. But that doesn't mean I spent the whole time playing with it.

Usually in the summer we went swimming in the nearby lake, go biking etc, or when I was a little older my friend and I fixed up my mums old car. That probably comes second. And we built a "tree"house, it's more like a house since it isn't built on a tree or anything. And has to storeys :D Later we built a garage for the car we fixed.

Oh and there was a time when I was hooked on the movie top gun, I made lego airplanes that looked like an F-14 (or at least on my mind they did ;) )

Being an adult sucks, big time :(

I remember I had a figure of Murdock from the A-Team when I was very young - that was so awesome (until my brother chewed his rubber head). I also had an original Darth Vader action figure, til my dad stole it and took it away to his office. I also loved Real Ghostbusters toys, Lego, Sylvanian Family, My Little Pony (anything with animals), WWF figures, stuffed animals, those weird pots of slime/goo stuff that didnt actually do anything (but sometimes had weird aliens and things in it)...oh, and Monster in my Pocket. Too many things.

If it's listed here, I probably played with it or had a friend who played with it. I haven't done very much growing up in terms of the things I like. I still collect toys like crazy. It would be insanity to list all the toys I played with, but here's a shot off the top of my head.

-Lego
-Turtles
-He-Man
-Starcom
-Ghostbusters
-Bucky o'Hare
-Mighty Max
-Scalextrix.
-Care Bears (I nearly had 'em all)
-Power Rangers
-Mario Bros.
-Sonic stuff.

God, the list just goes on and on...

You know them little cars about 5cm long, and could move them and all. I had a ton of them. Raced them around my room and all. It was a magical period of my life, that.

Also some Ghostbusters stuff, which was pretty good.

Like many during the late 80's early 90's the toys i loved were:

Star Wars toys
MASK (i loved the petrol station base thingy and the red car)
Transformers
Thundercats
Ghostbusters
Turtles
Basic matchstick cars (had loads of those)
Lego (i still love lego now!)

Thats about it really, was never really into He-man.

I never paid that much attention to toy crazes. I remember My Little Pony and Polly Pocket being huge in the 80's or early 90's tho, and the pogs fad when I was at high school. As I was leaving college, I think the whole "skateboard" thing was just on the horizon.

I always wanted the latest action figure, the best scaelectrics track. i remember being mesmorized by hotweels and also the power ranger cars that form together to make a huge boss dude.
come to think of it my batmobile was a huge favourite. whats also funny is that i learnt to spell all the thomas the tank engine trains names before my own name! (matt if you didnt know)

Transformers, Turtles, Batman and some spaceship type collection called Manta Force - was brilliant playing that with my brother.

I was very similar except unlike most others here I didn't like Lego very much. Sticklebricks on the other hand were often lying around on my bedroom floor. Mainly I was into Star wars, Transformers, Thundercats, GoBots (Transformer rip-off) and Visionaries.

My favourites were:

power rangers and there magazords, i also had white rangers sword :)

Action man, i'll always remember the one with the skates because he could slide down ropes :) And the one with the parachute because he was indestructable! He survived being thrown out of many a second story window.

Toy story, buzz and woody action men (buzz was the best he had wings)

My favorites were Lego, more Lego, Lego Tecnics, car (matchbox and such) and Transformers.
I used to collect Trolls - that figures with colourful long hair. They're still sitting neatly in my room.

Same as most here - lego, turtles, transformers, scalextric, etc. Heavy into WWF wrestlers too, had the ring and everything.

I was really big into Mighty Max though, I had all of the big sets, most of the big "head" playsets and most of the little shrunken heads which I bought from Woolworths every weekend with my pocket money. I remember I was the envy of my friends because my parents bought me Magus from America, ages before it was released in the UK:

http://www.virtualtoychest.com/mightymax/mm_magnus_1_crop.jpg

I used to pretend that he was the guardian of Skull Mountain:

That picture doesn't have the orange cannonball which acts as one of the mountain's "eyes". Lame.

Everybody my age seemed to have a Fisher Price garage with a handle you could turn to make the cars go up in a lift then *ting* it rolled around the ramp and to the bottom again.

Had loads of he-man stuff, snake mountain, eternia with a monorail that went round it, Hordak's lair (yeah, he was from She-Ra but he was a much better baddy than camp skeletor)

Lego - me and my bro used to build small cars and then smash them into each other. the one with the most pieces intact won. I also used to build massive towers, and sometimes a windmill. I had this great wee stuffed purple doll which I became hugely attached to. I also loved Scalextric and Power Rangers dolls. Man I LOVED the Power Rangers. I liked the blue one, partially because he never truly got the oppertunity to whomp ass, unlike that stupid red idiot. Who made him leader? Go Stegasauras!

I deem it impossible for a child to live without lego. :P
Also, sticklebrix (sp?) were pretty damn funky as well, but paled into comparison with lego.

Another one for me is Ghostbusters! I had the HQ, ECTO-1, and various ghostbusters and ghouls. :)

Lego: me and some friends build entire economical empires revolving around trade (mostly diamonds and power crystals), transport, services and resources, no joke. We each had our own HQ and ship. We were all competitors untill one day we combined our funds and pieces to make one huge megaship and to have a massive capital to rule the market. It soon collapsed.

More lego: at home i had everything ranging from aquastations to knights and dragons to spaceshuttles etc. Then i made all their worlds collide to create the battle of the universe and time. I actually had my room full of entire armies and ships and whatnot. Millions died.

Power Rangers. And i thought i was the only megafan :) . Had some action figures of them and lotsa bots like the red dragon, white tiger and the ninjazord or something. I was insane for the Power Rangers, i would've died for them. Once some guy told me they had no tv and power rangers in heaven. I then made a promise to myself to never die.

Dinosaurs. Yup. I was a sucker for dinosaur figurines.

Cars: little ones, models, the whole thing.

Batman: i had some kind of a batman with special armor and a hot wich/chick with a claw and a gun. I also had the joker whoh would always set up cunning traps for batman. Batman never won...

Action Man: i liked the possession of them more than to actually play with them

Boxes, ordinairy boxes

Mighty Max: had a dozen of them 'heads'. Nice

Ninja swords and futuristic guns

Ah, hell yeah, Mighty Max was one of my favorites as kid as well. Loved the a snake one and had the huge fold out skull mountain.
Also had a bit of a obsession with Mini Boglins and Pogz for a while, until some bastard went and nicked my collection, I still have nightmares about it to this day.

Agreed, I'm being reminded of so much I used to have/do in the past.

I've always loved swords. I think my first was the Sword of Omens from Thunder Cats. I loved that thing, then my mum threw it away coz it had split at the end. Could have just taped it up. That must have been 15 years ago.
I had liono, panthro, cheetara, tigra, a sky cutter, a nosediver and a hover cat and all mighty mum-rah!

still got some street sharks (streex, ripster, slammu and moby lick).
I think I still have my Super Mario wrist watch game some where. Haven't seen it in at least 7 years.
