Oh well another bites the dust. No suprise really - they spent more on their executives than their console.
not surprised, never seen a shop stock them or a person play one.

Thing is though, it might not have been the strongest console launch of all time, but it was having a go. Had it not been for the directors turning the console into a personal piggybank, the console could have probably fought on for a while.
You've got to feel sorry for all the "Gizmondo Studios" developers, such as the ex-Warthog lot, who will now probably be facing mass job cuts :/

i stumbled across gizmondo on the amazon.de website... if it wasn't for that, i would've never heard of that thing.
just looked again, it isn't even available, YET! and it looks like sh**.

I think you have to be much more specialized to survive in the handheld market, like for example support homebrew etc

Gizmondo was a pretty decent looking console and had some interesting capabilities, but they did not have the backing and the power to break into the market, which is a real shame.
They should have cut their losses and just gone into game development.
