My auntie nicely reminded me of the time I was made to wear a giant pink cowboy (cowgirl?) hat at work due to the pink PS2, PSP and DS all coming out around the same time (and I was the only one who would). She happened to come in that day. Im sure I found a picture of it recently but its not on my facebook or my 'photos of myself' (vein much?) folder on my computer.

Those orange hats, apart from looking all too small, need spicing up a bit. Maybe some silver spray paint in it or something.

Ear pierced. See how that goes. I say a tattoo is something you need to consider for a long time (because it lasts even longer). Plus it might be a good idea of getting it done with henna and seeing how that goes.

Along the same lines I'm considering putting some colours (probably red, although I still want the lame lols of five colours in my hair) in my hair before I get stuck to a 'proper' job come September. And I still want a plug in my ear, but don't want to grow it. Awkward bugger I am. I've also decided to straighten my hair every day (well unless im doing nothing) because it does look so much better (pics tomorrow probably).

Piercings can be taken out! If you go tattoo get one somewhere easily hidden. Because one day we all have to get a sensible job! snore!

If you are going to get your ears done, get it done properly. None of this gun stuff. Besides needles hurt less than guns! I know from experince!

Tattoos are lovely, I prefer them to piercings. But they are definately something you should consider for a while like ashley said. That way you find a nice artist (most of the time you'll have to travel..let's face it I could pull up about 20 artists in the whole country I would myself only send you too!) and a nice design you'll love for a long long time.

But yes piercings are fun, although most piercers seem to advise some crazy things to look after them, why a titainium bar and sea salt soaks aren't enough for them to learn and preach is beyond me..

As for the short/vs long hair debate, I vote long! I know a few girls and have seen even more who have tried both varieties, and in the majority of cases longer is better. high maintenance would defo be one way to describe it. I had some pink left in it and i couldn't be bothered bleaching it out..

I put lilac on top and it only took to the bottom half. (I have no idea why, I bloody BAKED the dye in with my hairdryer on the hottest setting) So now I look like a rainbow. It works so I don't mind/care.

Only thing is it'll be faded come next week :shakehead

A whole head of hair, is horrendous. This is why the majority of my hair has been taken back to brown, haha. ^___^

ninja edit: i dunno which hairdressers would do it, there is a lot of liability issues with bleaching your hair white, and the coloured dye is specialist so they don't often stock it. Really need to phone around and ask :)

Don't normally enter the realms of this thread but to give my opinion that you all long for so much. I much prefer long hair on a woman, some do suit short hair but I've always prefered long flowing locks. Take Rihanna, not that I wouldn't now but I think she looked a lot better when she used to have long hair back in the day.

Now when it comes to myself, I don't normally experiment. I grow it longish for a few months until it comes slightly emoish then i go and shave it all off. I've generally followed that path over the last few years.

When I had long hair:

- Took me 20minutes to wash
- Half an hour to dry with a hair dryer
- Another 20minutes to straighten

With short hair:

- 5minutes to wash
- 2minutes to dry, as it's drying literally as it hits the towel
- 5minutes to straighten.

It's only difficult to colour, style wise it's easy.

YEah me and you have a really similar cut (and colour, lol) NW, maybe that's why its awesome. I cut my hair back in the nineties, and it was awful.

Its easier to have short hair that looks good with all these designer hairdressers about these days.

I can follow you on that one. I don't think I'd look great completely shaved, but I do like the idea of not having to do anything to my hair. It's rarely the way I like it.
