Just had a look and there isn't anything posted about it, I think I remember one on the old board but I never posted in it as I was only just starting it, But i'm on ep 20 now and damn this Program gets better and bloody better, just finished ep 19 where the thing lights up I want to know whats under there hope something happens with whatever iti s in one of the last eps.
The Hurley ep rocked (best character on it), and I never noticed in ep 17 he was on the TV of where Jin was giving the guy from the factory that message until someone pointed it out, ok I never noticed they kinda met each other before hand in diffrent ways, Sawyer getting carted off by police when boon was reporting abuse to his sister, sawyer meeting Jacks dad

I LOVE this show; i've been watching all the episodes (and somethimes the repeats aswell); I've really gotten into it and never want to miss it.
I love the mystery surrounding the whole thing (i know i probably haven't seen as many episodes as alot of you, as i'm only watching it on channel4), but for example the whole thing a couple of weeks ago when you kept seeing the mysterious man watching them from the edge of the jungle or the sea and then when you looked back he'd vanished etc...
It's great when the episodes end on things like that!
I think Charlie's a great character; good acted by the young hobbit (Dominic Monaghan)!

Completely agree, he's my favourtie character too and felt so proud when he chucked the drugs on the fire, although, interesting sidepoint, wouldn't they all get high off of the fumes? Cause that would hvae been hilarious!

My favourite characters are Locke, that Southern guy and the hobbit
I can't stand the bambi eyed main woman character. I have got up to episode 16 and am enjoying it immensly. The camera work and enviroments are wonderful and characterisation is coming along nicely. A few nice overlapping bits of storyline in the flashbacks as well. Will be intrested to see how this concludes.
Oh and Bowser your new sig rocks my socks. Leanardo FTW!

Cheers for the correction Twilight'! It didn't sound right to me as i was typing it (but went blank so put it anyway :indeed: ).
Anyways, yeah i was thinking that too about the fumes off of the fire, i think the moth hovering above got most of it, lol!! poor things gonna feel that for days!

its a bit slow but so far im really enjoying it but keep watching repeats as i can never remember what ones i have watched and if its on E4 or channel 4, oh it gets so confusing sometimes this TV lark.
Ahh I love this show so so much. Got the dvd boxset as soon as it came out and finished watching the whole lot already. What a cliffhanger eh?! I kinda wished they could have answered a few more of the hanging questions though before the end of that series. Although it was good, I felt at times I was watching only because I wanted to know...
What is in the hatch?!
and, What the hell are the numbers all about?
And neither were really answered this series. Favourite character has to be Locke though. He's ace. And Kate who people don't seem to like very much (but just LOOK at her pretty eyes!!)
I've no idea if I'm allowed to ask this, but I've seen someone else on this topic say they were going to this anyway so...
Does anyone know where I can download the first ep in the next series after it's been released? I just think how long it's gonna take for series 2 to get over here and can't bare the thought of that long wait! I just know i'm gonna cave to spoiler sites in that time.

It's been dragging too much for my liking. Everyone has their tongue up that doctors arse as if they can't live without him.
Back story of Charlie = He was a pussy.
I'm about two thirds of the way through the series so far. I'm enjoying it, but I do think that it has a tendency to drag on in some places. I also don't like the way that they have big revelations, then seem to forget about them for a few episodes. Can't wait to watch the rest of it, still.
I don't have any particular favourite characters (well okay, maybe Charlie, what with him being English), but I definitely don't like the brother and sister, Sawyer, and Jack - they're all pretty boring.

Take that back! Charlies the best character in it; it's not his fault his brother was an absolute git (i'll say that word instead of anything else) to him!
Yeah it does kinda get on my nerves how some of them suck up to Jack, but i like it how other characters are becoming stronger now such as Charlie, Locke, Sayid.
To one of the mods:
I know it's probably not the greatest idea in the world but would it be plausible to set up two threads for Lost? One for the people who are following the show on C4/E4 so have only got up to a certain episode number and another for people who've already seen the whole lot.
I know it says this is a spoiler thread but I feel mean posting anything here that's past where C4/E4 are upto.

But then in the thread for C4/E4 people who watch the next episode after the one on channel 4 can then sopil that ep for people you don't have sky/cable/freeview, so in effect you would need 3 different threads to avoid any spoilers and thats just a waste of forum space!

Tphi is that "the big spoiler" ive seen several topics about. I so wanna know what it is but I shouldn't, pure masochism!
Anyway finished watching it last night.
I don't see why some people were dissapointed. It ended with many mysteries which from Lost you should expect really. Still an entertaining finale. I though I was spoilt ages ago because I knew Ian Somerhalder's character died but got the actors mixed around and thought he played Sawyer, so that was a surprise for me.
And Evil, some of them would literally be dead if it weren't for Jack. That annoyed me in the pilot, the way he was superdoc (and apparently he was originally gonna be killed off) but im glad he became less of a goody goody.

That's wierd; how did they go from that to making him the main character?!!
Ash, yeh, that one is the uber spoiler. Seriously, when I read it, I was let down. I've followed how much hype there is about what could be down the hatch and.. it just seems like another Lost mystery with no real explanation. Like they did it just for the sake of having something wacky happen (ie the Polar Bear).
Once again just to tempt you, what's down the hatch is: Desmond :P :p
Locky, you can get to Lost Untold through the Ch4 site (http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/L/lost/) It's a cool Flash thingy with lots of goodies and hints at whats coming next. Made by the people who did DonnieDarko.com, if you've ever explored that.

What a twist, Sawyer not having the inhalers. That's 20+ minutes I'm not getting back.

Yeah i pretty much guessed that Sawyer didn't have them from the start, just the sort of thing he'd do!
Can anyome just explain the letter thing to me i'm not sure i quite got it;
When he was young he wrote that letter, because someone called Sawyer slept with his mum and then his dad killed her and himself?
Then when he grew up he almost made the same mistake?
And so called himself Sawyer, to remind him of what he'd done?
He said that he had become the man he was hunting?!
Backstories left; Sayid, Michael and Walt, Shannon and Boone, Hugo, Claire

About the Back Stories, once they've done with the main characters they do more story of the back story (If that makes sense) >> let me think of soemthing that won't spoil anything >>
with Kate they go back previous to her and why shes on the run, what happened etc etc.
and they just do it with a couple of them (won't say who not to spoil)
*needs o get Season2* Need to track it down from torrent hoep i can find one ^^:
Heheh, no the big spoiler isn't that the hatch is filled with concrete.
But what is down there makes no sense whatever. :S Even with all the Jack backstory that comes out in 2.1.
How is Walt "special"? Are there any other instances of him doing stuff like this?
Anyone know where I can get Ep 1 of series 2?
Ashley
22-09-2005, 06:24 PM
Only other "Walt is special" thing I can think of is in the episode dedicated to him and Michael he is having a strop while researching that bird species, and then a bird of that species smacks into the window
BGS, legally only in America. NOBODY POST LINKS TO DOWNLOADS!!
Yeah once everyone's got a backstory they delve further into it/explain it more etc. Sometimes they're character defining ones (such as Jack and his dad) and some explain how they ended up on Oceanic 815.
Sawyer's backstory is basically:
A "confidence man" (as Sawyer refers to him) had an affair with his mother and took a lot of money from them (I think anyway) and his father found out. He then got really mad and shot his mom and himself (spoiler for another Sawyer-backstory ep) His dad killed himself on Sawyer's bed when he was a child, while Sawyer was under the bed. Sawyer dedicated his life to find this man and give him this letter (I'd imagine thats much more threatening as a child cause it sounds lame to an adult). Then one day he found himself low on funds so he became a "confidence man." He turned into the man he was hunting, hence why he goes by Sawyer.
The next story about Sawyer is good, it gives some good reasoning on why hes so fucked up.
Anyway been watching some of the featurettes and such. The ones about story/character devolpment were a treat for me because I like that kind of thing.

So i had it right then, but thank for clearing it up for me as i wasn't sure i had!
and it was him seeing the kid of the people he was going to rip off that made him stop; as it reminded him of himself going through it all as a kid.

S02E01. OMG. WTF?!
That's what I have to say about that (and I guess every other) Lost episode. No more, no less. :-)
Just finished watching the first season of Lost last night. I've enjoyed the series throughout (although I'm not keen on any of the supernatural bits such as Hurley's magic numbers, the psychic boy and Claire's devil child - IMO these don't have a place in something set in a 'serious' drama), but to be honest, I wasn't happy with the ending of the first season.
I expected them to reveal at least SOMETHING about what was going on, rather than just posing more questions.
Also, the pacing of the seres really bugged me. Some things that are the cliffhanger to some episodes aren't even mentioned, let alone resolved, until a few episode later. Oh well, I'm still looking forward to seeing the second season. Now to find somewhere to 'acquire' it...
Ashley
24-09-2005, 11:38 AM
Lost was never conceived as a serious drama. JJ Abrams and someone else in charge (forgot his name) both said they felt that a "twist" was needed otherwise it would be too flat. There needed to be this external force to bring everyone together and I think it works well.
Dunno why everyone complains about more cliffhangers, its how shows get people to come back for the next season. They're exciting and annoying, its a catch 22.
Ive always been a fan of shows that stretch out storylines (reasonably of course) because things do tend to come back on you when you least expect it. Thats what I loved about Buffy, in an episode of Season Seven there was a resolve to something that happened in Season Two and it felt right.
Lost was never conceived as a serious drama.
Maybe not, but at the beginning it certainly looked like it could have been one. Yeah, so the polar bear was weird, but it still could have had a realistic explanation. The small number of supernatural things later on in the series just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the show, in my opinion.

Last weeks episode where they were trying to find Charlie and Claire was amazing!! Best episode so far!!
and at the end when Locke and Boone found the metal floor cover!!
Can anyone help explain Kates episode to me yesterday though!;
Why did she get involved in the bank raid, just to get the metal toy plane out of one of the safe boxes; especially when she had the key anyway.
Why go to such lengths for something not all that important in the long run!
Maybe I didn't hear the explanation; if there was one!!
And is there a future episode where what happened between her and the man she loved is explained?!

Yes.
And I'm not certain, but am pretty sure that it was explained in the episode you saw why she couldn't just open the deposit box without the bank raid, and that was she had no I.D or authorisation to open it. Turning up with just a key and saying "I want to open that box" isn't really enough as what's to stop you stealing the key?
Edit: Yep, just re-watched that part of the episode and her reason is "I'm not on the signatory card".

Well, it is explained further. But in the episode you watched she does say that it belonged to the man she loved, the man she killed. I would imagine some people living with such guilt would be prepared to go to some pretty extreme lengths to recover an item that belonged to them, even if it is just a toy.
Ok, thanks!

You'll seeeeeeeeeee...
But if you really wanna know...
A: Its the Sum of all the 'cursed' numbers that keep popping up all over, but more importantly its the amount of time between each countdown to DOOM! The hatch is a control room where some poor sod has to imput the cursed numbers into a computer at every 108th minute of every day!!! Still a lot of mystery surrounding it though.
