So, I was wondering, are there any places on this planet you would love to go to at least once in your lifetime? Anything you'd love to visit because of its beauty? Or because of its cultural value or history? Or just because.
Myself, I would love to visit Greece one of these days. I already went through Italy once, visiting all the historical sites and I just loved it. Roman and Greek history are one of the things I love, so because of that I would love to go visit Greek temples and stuff. Also, Greece is just a pretty country in itself and definitely worth a visit.
Other places I would love to visit are national parks, especially Yellowstone and Grand Canyon National Park. I've always loved seeing pictures of those places (yay for National Geographic magazine) and I would just absolutely love to go there, even though I know I probably won't get to see the same things the photographers of NG got to see (seeing as they usually aren't limited to the touristy areas). Still, so worth a visit to me.
Sooo, what places are on your list?

England > Torronto > New York > Texas > Mexico City > Lima > Rio > stopover somewere in Chile > Perth > Melbourne > Sydney > New Zeland > Malaysia > Singapore > Hong Kong > Tokyo > China > Moscow > euro train thingy going to pretty much all the countries in Europe and also fly to Iceland at some point. Cant remember the exact route but it was something like that. Will be cool anyway and gives me something to aim for once ive finished my degree.

Just wondering, how the fuck are you going to pay for all that?
Anyhow, to me the world is my playground. I wanna see all of it. from Nepal to Japan, from New zealand to Africa.
I also love Italy, as far as I can remember we always went there on holiday. Also I went to Bari for 2 weeks because of eyp and although the place is a deserted place filled with old and poor people, it will always have a special spot in my hart seeing the events that took place there and the people i've met. Might go to Bologna one day to see some people i met.
This summer Riga (Latvia) is on the programme. 2 weeks of pure, carefree fun combined with politics.

Yes, you really must go to Yellowstone. I went there with my family about five years ago, and while looking back, I was probably too young to properly appreciate the beauty of the place, it was still astounding.

Egpyt. Pyramids and stuff.
Egpyt. Pyramids and stuff.
Apparently, they are going to close the pyramids to tourist in a couple of years forever, because people are ruining them by walking all over them. You had better hurry if you want to see them.

Yes. They can close it off from the tourists. But no one refuses The Don.

Though I would love to visit Egypt and its pyramids too, I've always found it to be a sort of scary thought to walk around in them. Too many nightmares about mummies and being trapped in a pyramid I guess. I don't like mummies. Even though I've been to some well, "deadhouses" (don't know what to call them) where the bones of tons of people are stacked together for all to see. Even one where the walls and doorways were decorated with them; kinda freaky.
But still, pyramids are cool, mummies are not. =P

And you didn't by any chance watch around the world in 80 treasures?lol, yeah I didn't watch all of it but I did see the episode that had the Nazca Lines!
I'd known about Machu Picchu and wanted to visit Peru long before that programme, but i'm so glad I saw it because there is so much to South America I didn't know about!

i have a dutch friend who's ex-geography teacher of years ago is the only person in the world to have visited every country. It took him something like 30 years and alot of the countries were said to be difficult to get into, like North Korea.
Myself, i'd love to go to many places, Paris (very possible), Italy, Egypt, America, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, see the Safri in Kenya. Alot really, i couldnt imagine spending every holiday in spain just sunbathing like many people i know do.

Personally I like the crowded appeal, I love the hustle and bustle of cities.
And also I'd love to go back to NY but in the winter time. It'd be more of a hassle to get round but Central Park in the snow baby, that'd be a site.
Plus many more places but its way past when I should be in bed.

I want to go to Japan and see Akihabara. Tokyo`s electric town. Its supposed to be something special. Like a Mekka for gamers.
I just love huge megaplex cities with millions upon millions of people and high tech just dripping from the streets. Call me odd but it's just something i like to live in.
Why people love Japan? Maybe it's the same as with the USA in the 1900's.

Japan, just fascinated by the country really. Trying hard to learn the language but struggling to find time.
America, love the way of life, love the interesting history of it, I know a heck of a lot of American modern history.

The previous week had been there coldest on record for AGES!!
It was - 30 and they were covering it on the news! T prove how cold it was; some news-reporter bought a boiling hot cup of coffee, went outside and started his news report, 1 minute later he went back to his coffee and it had frozen!!
I went the week after this and it was about - 10,
Central Park was AMAZING; it was covered in Snow!
Me and my friends found an snow covered icey slope on the park and spent ages sliding down it standing up etc...
At top of the Empire State Building it suddenly got SOOO windy that everyone had to go inside all of a sudden; you were fighting against it and really getting moved around!
Took a cab across Brooklynn Bridge at Night to see New York from the otherside! and walked back across the bridge into New York!
Went to Ground Zero, went on the Staten Island Ferry, went to Macy's superstore, Bloomingdales, ToysRUs Megastore,
And Times Square at night; FANTASTIC!!
One of the best Holidays/Times EVER!!
