GTA:SA help

My first post on the new board and i'm gonna make it a real newbie one i'm playing GTA:SA on the xbox and often have a habit of failing missions. If i remember rightly once i could press something so i didn't have to do a certain part of the mission again anyone know what i have to press?

Check the manual for the "TRIP SKIP" button. You can only use this when "TRIP SKIP" is flashing on screen though (usually eliminates long driving sections from missions when replaying em).

I played on PS2 so I dont know exactly what button it will be On X-Box
