Hopefully nothing bad will happen again, but I'm not stupid. So anyway this is to report a new problem. If one has been discussed (even if we've not gotten back to the original poster and its still happening) don't post another reply about it. Want to appologize for forums going down... and not getting them up as quick as we should have. The Advanced Media forums were down as well, and took us the better half of 3 days to get them back up.

I have a broadband connection and have the worst time navigating this website. Refreshing a page or going from one thread to the other takes way too long. Is it like that with anyone else? Every other website i visit is a breeze, whats up with this one?

Sometimes it goes slow for me as well, especially if i'm downloading something. Personally, i think it's those bluddy evil people not complying to the sig limits. :wink:

Maybe try using firefox? That speeds things up a little for me, otherwise i don't think there's any real answer.

Just a suggestion , but maybe the mods could think about deleting old threads , maybe after about a month of no replies , I am sure that this will free up some bandwidth.

Yeah, if the post you're trying to submit features less than 10 characters, it won't go through.

To be honest, is a post really worth making if doesn't have more than 10? I think it's really annoying when you have a topic and people post "LOL" or "k". We're trying to cut that out.

That was a script for 3.5x, we're now on 3.6x. Im trying to find a new one but I do have a life to work around.

And the database error, seeing as you're the only one, hmm. Ill look into it.

Hmmm. I haven't come across this problem yet. Try using accessing the forums in a different browser or clearing your cookies. That might work.

That's not what the new thread reading behaviour should do. Try clearing out your cookies.

I know this isn't much of a problem at all (I'm just a lame site design perfection whore), but to the right under the forum header (http://www.n-europe.com/forum/images/header_forum.jpg), on the site design there is for some reason a light gray 2 pixels or so thick line, which always annoys me to hell. I know I'm just being picky and stuff, but.. Yeah. You don't have to fix it (as it might be a bitch; I know what these things are like), but if it's easy and you don't mind that'd be great.

Yeah it may be a problem of the emails going to your junk inbox. But if not an admin can help you out.

When I go to quick reply it wont post it up, says I need to be logged in when I already was. So I go through the normal reply procedure but I have to sign in again anyway, whats up?

Also, the same happens when I try to edit, thus meaning I cant save my changes.

Is it something simple that needs changed within the browser?

Sounds as if your cookie is not kept. I assume you use IE, so set it in Internet Options to accept all cookies. Log in then set it the level you had it previously on - that should do the trick.

I think this problem has only started since we got that BT Homehub in. Its updated the Browser (which was IE) to some hybrid BTyahoo IE thing. Ill see if I can sort it by changing the cookie options.

(although incidentally, I think this has happened at Uni once or twice aswell, strange one)

Er on a kind of weekly basis, the site keeps on sending me to Chat instead of the Forum. Seems that the link code moves or something... any thoughts? This has been going on for a while though.

No, I am. I checked the link directing and the Forum button has the Chat code on it but so does the Chat button so it doesn't make any sense. Even when it takes me to the Chat page, I click the Forum button and it reloads the Chat page again. It seems to only last for a small period of time but it's still one of those mysteries... maybe it's just firefox being silly or summet.

We're aware of the problem and I'm told there is something being done about it. I and many others are having trouble viewing anything other than the forums, which isn't ideal, but hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I'm pretty sure it's to do with the adverts we have.
