Hi guys long time reader (N64-europe days), first time..errr.."poster". I made this simple (very simple) demo of how the rev controller works for FPS. I made this for my own enjoyment and the majority of you would already know how it works... This is for people know nothing about the controller...

Here is another simple movie of how a platformer might be done. I was worried that future mario games might not be much good with the new controller, but now i think it could be quite cool. although getting a good camera angle will be hard to pull off...

nice stuff, thanks...but I really think we should just wait untill E3 2006 so we canactually see some graphics and controls. the only thing we have now are concepts

It is a zipped file (.rar). you need winrar or stuffit to extract them.

Nice attempt to demonstrate how it will work, but from a technical standpoint you've made one mistake; you depict the controller as pivoting about the front end, when in reality most of the controller movement is going to come from the wrist, so it should be the back end that the model pivots around.

Cool. In addition to the controller moving in 4 horisontal directions, you could also use up and down for perhaps jump and crouch.

Fighting demo. Point and click on enemy to attack. "nunchuk" for movement, Z1 - punch, Z2 - Kick. (depending on where you clicked it will be high or low)
Might do another one with:
Special moves(powerfull attack, jump, etc) with "Pointer" Z-trigger or Big A, D-pad.

These demos are eye openers. It looks very simple to play a fighting game.

Another demo: of the mario doing 3 jumps. Instead of clicking where you want to jump, you flick the controller up. This seems to be what nintendo are planning judging from the controller promo video of the girl flicking the controller...
nunchuk for movement.

These video are really nice and give a good idea of what it actually could be like playing with the remote, but I'd like longer video, however since I'm learning a bit of 3D modelling at the moment I know how much work this is.

It's not too much work, I modelled the controller before (in cinema 4D). took about 2 days i think. the biggest problem is timing the controllers movements with the video clip. thats why all the videos are short.
I think the next zelda for rev will be in first person perspective (assuming the controller is used for swinging the sword). Can you see it working in 3rd person?

wow, you really improved!that's another way of doing a plaformer for the revo, but i cant see much happening in the movie after second 8, the control just tilts to the sides and all of the sudden it shows mario in Crist position and the background is in pieces, it it suppose to be like that?

Think u should try to make a video that REALLY looks like a Revgame...
And then upload it to like, every homepage on the entire web!

It appears I can't stop myself from making another one. This video shows how fun it would be to cut stuff up.

Your videos are pretty imaginative, I really like your ideas how all these things could work but at the same time it rises the suspicion that many games could be simplified by the controller and it would take little skill to master the controls.
I remember trying to wall jump in Mario 64, it took me so long to master it.
Edit: fixed a writing error (though I guess plenty are left) and I add something:
Please make a Starfox video.

BTW, I'm working on a tuner version of the Honda Prelude for NFS4:
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid83/pe2d5246db6d7db7a3a46ab3cf81b0c57/fae06044.jpg
If you're at all into the Tuner culture, you'll know that a car aint a tuner 'till it's got a games console in it...
Therefore, I wonder if I could have your Revo controler, and maybe a 3D modell of the console itself (dunno if you've realised this yet, but it seems the revo will fit snuggly where the stereo usually fits in...).
And if you could be so kind to make a small TV-screen with a screencap of Metroid Prime 3...
If you wish to do any of this, please convert them to .3ds format, or prefferably as a Zmod file...
