Here in Waterford (Ireland) the only game shop (Gamestop) had been deceasing the cube space dramaticlly now its totally gone, i asked my cousin in Dublin how things are up there and apparently none of the shops there are stocking cube anymore either not even Game?

The gamecube has a tiny space in both the stores I usually buy games at. I'm living in Norway. I think that it won't be long before it is gone. The ps2 is dominating, a lot. Even the DS doesn't match up to it at all.

In Cork, GameStop only sell second-hand GC games but both smyths and GAME still have decent selections of cube games. Arent there any other game shops in Waterford?

GAME in Lincoln have a really small space, that is sort of misplaced in the middle and took me a few minutes to find, where as GameStation do have a larger section, one for the new games and one for pre-ownded - yet I can foresee these getting smaller.

I did say months and months ago that you wouldn't be able to find any cube games unless you shopped in Game, and even Game are re-thinking their stance on cube meterege.
Zelda: TP could be only available online from the looks of it, unless the N gets their next-gen console out around the same time!

Our Game has stopped the Cube, too little demand and too little space. Although oddly we got Mario Baseball in so theres hope that we get Zelda in.

I don't really bother with the shops anymore , although my last visit to Game and Gamestation in Milton Keynes was far from inspiring when looking for Cube stuff.

where i am (Victoria/Australia), i have found that places are still selling the gamecube stuff, but it tends to get put to the side.
there is only one major chain that i know of (BigW in Ballarat) that no longer sells gamecube stuff.
Electronics Boutique is still a big seller, as is Games Rush. i dont think that there will be any real problem (as has been mentioned by our Irish friends).
But the fact that there is no real advertising campaign over here is the only real concern.
but in saying that, i saw an advert for 'shadow the hedgehog' today. it was pretty crap to say the least, and it also had an XBox and PS3 label on it... but it was a ninty game nontheless!
even more interesting was the SonicRush ad that was tacked onto the end of the Shadow ad...

even at £5 i cant be bothered.

You can still buy a wide range of GC games online at Play.com (http://play.com/play247.asp?pa=navsub&page=front&r=GC) but yeah it's going rather quickly from the highstreet; Curries are apparently selling it and Zelda for £24.99! With the Xbox being discounted to dump stock in light of the 360 (shortage induced) success it's no surprise the GC is suffering... :nono:

All the GAME's near me in London still have GC games for sale but they have been demoted to one or two tiny shelves in the middle of the store which no one see's unlike the PS2 and XBOX which get the shelf space all round the edges of hte store... its a shame really but meh business is business i guess.

Can't blame them, given how dead the GameCube has gotten lately.

Went to my local GAME today for the first time in ages. Some emo kid looking extremely limp wristed was at the counter aswell as a random assortment of geek stereo types. No sign of the Cube section. The PC shelves got shifted along to make way for 360. All that remained was preowned stuff but I was too upset to look. DS had an unfair tiny space too, only 2 shelves! Its a sad day when casual gamers have eradicated the only real games company from the shops. R.I.P Cube, I will make hand love to your corpse until your successor. Even then your games will be played, the spirit of the Cube lives on.
GAME are telling their stores they don't have to stock GC stuff if they need the space for the 360. My store has kept it though because with some of the more recent high profile releases GC sales have seen a significant rise...
Particularly good sellers in the past week or two have been GUN, Mario football and dancemat and shadow the hedgehog.

The good news in all this though is places like CEX will hopefully be flooded by people trying to get rid of their games/systems and the market will collapse for the GC. Cheap games for all!

Well heres a look at the shops that stock games in my town.
1. Game (Outside the center): Does not stock Gamecube games
2. Game (Inside the center) : Stocks Gamecube games, 1 shelf only.
3. Gamestation : Stocks Gamecube games, 2 shelfs and 2 shelfs for preowned.
4. Woolworths : Does not stock gamecube games.
And for the actual console, its pretty rare to find one, but are some around.

Although this is true HMV had some pretty cheap clear out games awhile ago. I got soul calibur 2, Tony Hawks Underground 2 and Call of duty all for around 7 quid. Gamestation have alot more cube space than both of the game stores but I suppose I'm just biased because I get discount.

In my GAME, cube has a wee wee stand, which is shared by Xbox. But DS has 2 whole columns of shelfs.

Most of the stores near where i live sell Cube stuff, GAME has demoted GC down to a small corner, but the DS n GBA have 5-6 shelves for everything, which is nice. HMV sells it on 2 shelves (same for DS n GBA) Woolworths only sells DS n GBA, same for MVC. Gamestation however, has 4 long shelves of GC games, with a seperate 3 shelves for the pre-owned stuff which is nice. DS has 3-4 shelves with the GBA nr the DVD's

Sup Mokong.
Here in Galway, there is NO Gamecube games, because i tried to buy a game but i couldn't find it. I am referring to both GAME, GameStop and Smyths. No gamecube games, nothing.
I then visited Belfast recently, and HMV had fuck all, GameStop had nothing and GAME had like a little dinky section with like shit games. I walked out.
And then, as I passed through Dublin on the way to Belfast, but just as i type this i remembered i didnt venture down henry street or in fact near any game stores, too busy chasing trains.
But i was in Dublin during the summer for a good while, and i bought some games in the GameStop..mmm.. What street... it was... Liffey Street! And when i was there during the summer, it has tons of like second hand games, and good ones! Ones i wanted. I walked out with loads of games i had been missing out on. I think i was in GameStop on Henry street and the GAME there too during the summer, and they had nothing.
Also, when i was in Dundrum shopping centre's GAME, Nothing.
It's madness.
My next place to check now is Derry. They better not let me down.

I popped into the Redhill branch of Game to find to my surprise they had completely removed the GC shelf.
i had seen this coming though as i'm sure most of us have.
My brother works for Game in Epsom and he has had to fight to keep GC Games on the shelf.
it is a sad fact but Nintendo has not really helped the situation, what with a non excistant release schedule and virtually no advertising in the UK can you blame retailers for not bothering.
it would also help if Nintendo followed from Sony and slipped Game a bit of cash each month to keep GC on the shelves........

In Dublin city centre, both HMVs have a decent enough selection and one of the GAME shops has a couple of shelves at the back of the shop. That's all I could find today when I was looking around for some games for Christmas. I got Resident Evil 4 and a preowned version of Starfox Adventures. I got Starfox because it was only a tenner and it looks decent enough. I've yet to buy Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos, which I've been meaning to buy for ages, but they didn't have them in stock so I'll get them online sometime.

Gee, I wonder what the world would be like if Martin Luther King never stood up on his own to the white people.
Yeah, King was a right 'tard for doing what he did.
Anyway, my GAME seems to have GC stuff (hardware and software) in stock. Our Gamestation has plenty more though.

You tried comparing my comment to Martin Luther King? Its totally different, he stood up with all his bravery for something which we all know was right, and you know he stood up for a fact.
Whats complaining about Game not stocking cube's got to do with it? Whining to a shop about not stocking something is not bravery, because he could always ask them to order him one, ALOT of stores allow it. A fact? The fact in this case prove's some stores arent worth stocking cube games because they hardly make any money from it. I know this, nearly every one should know this. Put your self in the game store's shoes, your stocking games which people hardly buy, and in some cases no one buys. You arent going to take the gamble by continuing stocking them, it WILL run you out of business if you do.
Dont compare my post about the stupid comment of demanding cube games to be stocked to a human rights act.
