Yesterday, I was ribbing a few people I know who were involved on X360 FIFA, with a particularly scathing Eurogamer review. They scored it 2/10, and gave it quite a shoeing.

That review was here: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61919 but the link is now dead! All traces of the review have been removed from Eurogamer's website!

Is this EA marketing power gone to the next level? Was the review a joke? Or has the review been politely retracted?

The score had already appeared on gamerankings.com, but it's now disappeared as well!

It really smacks of EA throwing their weight around, pre-launch of the X360 over here. It'll be even more disgusting if said review re-emerges with a different score!

More on this one as it breaks...

There's, according to a Eurogamer staffer, an embargo on posting reviews until December 2nd. It was a mistake on their part.

I'd wager that the score will get even more attention now it's been removed.

It's still fucking dodgy, but it would have been better if EA had given them a six-foot replica of the EA logo, except made out of jewels and money.

Actually, sorry for the double post and all that, didn't something similar happen with Donkey Konga or Mario Tennis? Except it was IGN or GameSpot.
