Nice picture, the blood looks pretty good, I also have my problems creating believeable blood.
I'd use a rubber with 0% hardness and go around the edges of the puddle so that it slowly starts to fade - looking as if it was soaked into the ground and I'd reduce the occupacy of the blood on the blade and the shoes show that it's a cutout, maybe try to sharpen them a bit.

Konfucius: I've tried that on the update..

dabookerman: well.. I know there is inaccuracy.. I don't want the scene to look realistic.. I want the thing I add to look realistic.. and I just wanted the idea carried out in real life..
About the blood dripping from the blade; we tried that but it didn't really work out that well.. it just looked like it was on my jeans.. so.. well..

Hey, I've stumbled across this picture already on deviant... I'd have made the blood darker, and move the head up a bit, so you can see his expression...
