Season 11 of Xpert Eleven is upon us! Hopefully you've all had time to get some form training in and make some of those almighty transfers.

We wcome three new teams to the lineup this season - how will they fare against the battle-hardened players with a little more experience? Only time will tell!

Matches begin this Friday, giving you all time to set your tactics and make final tweaks to the squad. Same format as previous seasons - 2 games missed per team.

Good luck everyone!

I only won 1-0 in the cup at home don't count yourself out our matches are always classic.

Interesting match schedule for me need to start much stronger than last season.

Bolded are my initial relegation predictions, underlined are the promoted/winners. The middle league is ridiculously hard to call. I don't think cube will come 4th - I think him and ReZ will be battling for 2nd spot, but I think noodle and silverdale are strong contenders. I think Oddy has greatly superior tactical knowledge, and a frightenly good side for a 2nd-seasoner, but I'm playing it safe and decreeing the noobs to be the favourites to go down.

The bottom league is trickiest to call because, simply, if dom and shorty set tactics game-in and game-out, they should have walk-overs each week. The same for ten10 really, so if he's idle then really jimbob and twozzok, with their experience, should step up.

I'm going to win the middle league, of course. No game til tues and no game on the last match day either :(

It was a very tight game today. BSO actually had more chances but failed to convert so that's just the way it goes. I'll expect the home fixture to go my way given that today was so tight.
This teams in this league are so near in strength that it's difficult to call any match ahead of time.

When you select your tactics; when you choose "Defence against" (ie 442 or 451). If you select the one your opponent actually uses you get a 'yes' for prepared.

If you guess and its something different though they get a slight advantage so its a risk like marking the playmaker.

MadDog United 1-1 The Sixty Fourthers

United scored a confident first game draw against the Sixty Fourthers in a violent match that neither manager will look back on with pride. Both teams played 4-4-2 but the 64s struck first as young prodigy Kamal headed the 64s into the lead. What followed was a string of bad tackles, hostility between players and general unsportsmanlike behavior. 7 yellow cards, 3 injuries and 1 red card were the result of a chaotic match where tempers were lost by players from both teams. Amongst this chaos veteran United striker Ullathorpe netted a breakaway goal much to the delight of the home crowd. Overall 64s were on top during this game but Uniteds keeper Sambrook had a great game to keep the score level. A good draw for United and a disappointing start for the 64s but overall a game both sides would rather forget.

Essex Elites 1-2 Secret United

Two old rivals met in the opening match and enjoyed an exciting game that gives Secret United a huge boost at the expense of their old foes the Elites. Again both teams played 4-4-2 and it was a very even contest with chances and possession being almost equal. The difference it has to be said on the day was star power and determination to win. First came the star power as Brusling hit in a beautiful cross for MacCalman to volley in. Gledhill in his first match for the Elites scored from a brilliant through pass from Hooke. However United were determined to win and pushed forward one more time scoring in injury time as fellow new player Crowley won love from the away fans with a last gasp header to get the win. An exciting match that puts United in a position of strength and sends early warning signals off for the Elites.

Dysonism F.C 3-1 Tin Can Club

Tin Can Club after a victorious season in the Championship hit the Premier League and had a reality check losing 3-1 to Dysonism. The game started dramatically as a own goal put Dyosnism ahead before Tin Can Club struck back a minute later to make it 1-1. A penalty moments later coolly slotted in by Stenholm gave Dysonism the initiative. Sanford broke away to score the 25th goal of his long career to seal the win for Dysonism before half time. Dysonism deserved the win but Tin Can Club were far from hopeless. Their form is rather lacking at the moment however and they will quickly have to bounce back to make sure they aren't left playing catch up in this tough league.

Haden United 3-1 Happenstance FC

A battle between two vetran teams ended with United gaining a strong victory. Playing 4-3-3 United seemed confident and aggressive with their new style of attacking play. However it was Happenstance who took the lead with Dove scoring his first ever goal for the club. Despite this even with a man less in midfield United created the same amount of chances and their 3 strikers really began to take the game to Happenstance. Marconossi scored twice showing his worth as a future and current star, while veteran Agostini headed in a goal in off the cross bar to add to the tally. Again hope should not be lacking for Happenstance it wasn't the best performance but they weren't humiliated either. United showed good attacking flair and it will be interesting to see what style of play they put forward this season.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Essex Elites 1-2 Secret United, only away win and a important one for United. They want top 3? This is how you get it.

Turned on the Style Award: Haden Untied, scary attacking football that was effective when chances were provided.

Player of the Day: MadDog United, Rhys Sambrook, the only promoted side to get a point and Sambrooks incredible goalie skills were a large part of why this was the case.

Hit me up if you want to be featured in Fridays show for an interview.

Will do a catch up tomorrow for other 2 leagues.

Mmn. Mcoy's only lost 1 of his last 11 games, and is a bit of a drawmeister. He changes tactics a fair bit, and I'm genuinely scared of pretty much all of my matches. I don't think I've set terribly good tactics at all. Probably going to change them about 5 times before the game though.

Nice one!

I would recommend you sort your team out a bit though.

Try and keep form high and get all players playing. To do this reducing your sqaud a bit might be a good idea. That defender Ritchie really has no positive part to play in your team apart from raising the average age in matches (its good to have it over 25 for each part of your team) The attacker Whale is also a waste of space.

If you have younger players that are higher skilled than older ones it may be time to get rid of them. Not always though there are lots of factors to think of including skills and age averages.

Oddy is resident Xpert expert. He started again with a new team cause he was sad we kept beating him (lies). Check out his season old team in the middle league to see how to construct a good one.

Sorry have gone on a bit here!

Mcoy Advises all new players that are looking for long term play to go with some youth development. Mcoy will also give another hint 4 points of form = 1 skill so sometimes higher form players can outplay the better skilled players.

If you have the money make sure anyone with a red arrow is trained and all form is above 10 if possible (Mcoy advices for mega youth development to keep average form in the above 15's)

Haden
17-11-2009, 05:41 PM
Any advice for me? :weep:

Get your average form up asap and in your matches play a stronger line up with say 1 or 2 youth players. I see in your last match you left two of your best on the bench!

You have a lot of training to do but enjoy the lower league once you get on a role get your form up just aim to win as many as poss and get exp for all your youth.

Talking of which maybe try and get say an 18 year old 4 for midfield to replace a 25 year old one.

Standing next to the top league but this season will be the best league

_8YRx47oylM

Silverdale Hotpot 2-1 Battlestar Odwinica

Silverdale started their season off well against newly promoted Odwinica winning 2-1. Both teams shared possession and chances equally and went at each other with moderate 4-4-2 formations. It took until the 2nd half for a goal to be scored as unlucky Murray scored an own goal trying to clear the ball off his line. Tate headed in a fine goal for the 5th of his career to make things 1-1 but Silverdale fans rejoiced as star defender Nethercott deftly side footed a winner in with 5 minutes to go. The win was a good one for Silverdale but Odwinica won't be to disappointed and will look forward to the return tie.

Mcoys Sons 2-2 AFC Rez Rabies

A match between a couple of sides that were two leagues apart last season was despite this gap a very entertaining affair for all. Sons showing a lack of intimation played a 4-3-3 against Rabies, the game flowed back and forth as Rabies hit first with star striker Wiberg sprinting past a docile Sons defense to score. However Rabies responded quickly as Harris hit a goal in off the post after just a minute. Sons dominated chances made even with their 3 midfielders but it was Rabies who took the lead again as veteran Zellman made no mistakes when he was given a clear chance in the box to score. The drama was not over though! With 3 minutes to go Harris was given a beautiful through ball from Gee and nutmegged the goalie to make it 2-2. A thrilling match that emphasizes why the Championship league may be the one to watch this season.

Cubic County 0-3 DuDs Baggies

Another match between 2 sides that were two leagues apart last season. However this time the Baggies scored an incredible away victory against a awful County. County seemed to lack any spark and only created 3 chances to the Baggies 8. Elliot provided Baggies on the other hand with a huge spark! Having a great game scoring a blistering long range shot and setting up the Baggies 3rd goal. Simpson scored an early penalty to start this victory off. The Baggies couldn't really have asked for a better start their team seems to be bursting with talent and ready to tackle this league. County on the other hand after a dreadful previous season will have been shaken by this victory and quickly need to score a win to get off to a better start this time around.

Edd Kirby Athletic 1-1 Noodle Esporte Clube

Finally two teams that were both very much in this league last season battled it out to a 1-1 draw. These two teams have played now 5 times with 4 of the matches being draws and the 1 victory being Noodles. This draw was a dramatic one as Eden curled in a beauty of a shot for Noodle with 4 minutes to go before Athletic much to their fans relief made it 1-1 as Bowling headed it in between the legs of Sousa. On balance Noodle were the better team but there wasn't much to separate the two and Athletics dramatic improvement at the end of last season has seemed to have come into play at the start of this one. A fine game and a good start to the season for both teams.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Cubic County 0-3 DuDs Baggies, a wonderful start for the Baggies but County seem to be in crisis mode already!

Turned on the Style Award: DuDs Baggies, incredible play by them 8 chances and 3 goals away to a team that was in the top league last season.

Player of the Day: Edgar Gee, Mcoys Sons, helped control the midfield battle with only 2 team-mates helping him and set up both Sons goals.

Other catch up will be tomorrow with Tuesdays games. Everyone is being shy so far no interviews for the reports! Yet there's so much to discuss!

When you log in you should be able to see a list of things that have happened since your last visit. If you've played a game (you'll have played at least one game so far), the next time you log in it will have two squares that aren't usually there. One of these should look kinda like a chart, that tells you different statistics associated with the match. The other square should look like a TV screen, this is a like a private sky sports news thing for your game (a text update thing).

Thats a pretty shit description, but it should help you next time you've played a game (games are played Tuesdays and Fridays).

If those squares have disappeared (i'm not sure how long they stay there), if you click on 'League' (should be on the left after you log in) you should be able to see all the results for the last round of games in your league.

If you want to see the results for all the games you've played so far, there will be a tab on the right that say 'The Matches'. As you scroll over it, it should reveal a link that says 'Matches Played'.

Hope that helps :)

sorry if that was a little ott

Don't think about all the losses you feel

Martinists Men 0-3 Recall United

The Men are a new club that the report welcomes to the great NE xpert leagues, sadly Recall United were not so welcoming. United shut down the Men with 5 chances to 1 displaying a dominance in the midfield battle. This was no surprise as United played 4-5-1 and their midfield captain Streep had an incredible game. He scored twice in the first half then curled in a beautiful cross for the 3rd. With 3 rivals promoted United who finished 6th last season will be looking to be promoted this season. The Men on the other hand will want to score some victories and stabilize their side in a league that offers no punishment for finding your feet.

Complete Domstercool 0-3 Dudezz

Another new team Dudezz also participated in a game were the away team won 3-0, except in this game they were the away team! Domstercool seem to have lost the will to play football with a lack of training in the off season really showing in their opening game. Their two strikers had incredibly bad games with audible booing being directed towards them from the home fans. None of their 6 chances looked like going in. On the other hand Dudezz strikers shot above their weight with 3 goals from two humble players. Stone scored the first with a 6th minute header, him and confusingly named Stones scored another two just before the game ended to make it a 3-0 trashing. A great start for Dudezz while Domstercool look lifeless.

Jaffa Munchers 4-1 Discount Viagra

Munchers are another team like Recall United that have to be strong contenders for promotion. Today they blew open new team Viagra with a dominant display, although it was a win that was not secure into the 71st minute. Before that Viagra had made it 1-1 after an early Munchers goal. A quick succession of goals by Haky, McAnuff and Gasbo made the win seem easier than it was. Until that point Viagra had held firm but soon the defense they had erected came crumbling down. Munchers last season failed to beat the big teams of the league but this season they are one of the biggest and this win proved it. For Viagra they have to collect themselves and move on to their next match.

Eights United 0-4 Soap Box Utd

After two seasons of decline can Soap Box finally live up to their reputation as one of the most tactically sound teams in any league? On this evidence they can, another new team Eights United sadly were no match for Soap Box. After a tight first half Soap Box with their confident 3-4-3 formation opened Eights United up. Ivansson the veteran Utd striker was on incredible form as he scored 4 goals in 20 minutes to utterly destroy any hopes United had of salvaging anything from this game. His display was supreme and showed how Utd when they are on form can be devastating. Favorites to win the league? Could well be.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Complete Domstercool 0-3 Dudezz, Dudezz's get off to a blistering start while fans are wondering if Domstercool still exist.

Turned on the Style Award: Jaffa Munchers, 11 chances and 4 goals they rang circles round Viagra.

Player of the Day: Bert-Ake Ivansson, Soap Box Utd, 4 goals in 20 minutes pretty much the best the report has ever seen.

Interviews incoming and promises broken. Sorry guys life is manic atm! I am going to get back on track big time at the weekend so we will be all up to date. No draws in this league so far I like their style cut-throat!

A mix up of the tactics hoping for Jay's 4-5-1 cost me my first loss. However i did manage to get two youth players their first match experience of the season.

Next game is Mcoy. Gonna be looking for my first 3 points ever against them.

The middle league is a classic. The bottom one still refuses to accept draws.

FOrgot to set my tactics, and I guess I was punished with an injury to a keeper and a defender. DuD, you had more possession, and I feel like I got a bit lucky. Got three players in the x11 though!

I also am pretty damn gutted my keeper is out. Oddy's bought some old-but-ferocious players. I'm still effectively a game in hand for a bit, but of course everyone wants to beat oddy. ReZ's defeat is lawlsome - ReZ is one of few teams to actually beat the odwin's elite side, so to lose to these guys? Going to have to have to have a real good tactical think about this.

(having said that - odwin you're a nutter. Two straight promotions? It can't be done.)

The Sixty Fourthers 1-0 Happenstance FC

The 64s made sure they gained an important win against struggling Happenstance in a game were they dominated possession and chances but lacked at times a vital punch. Happenstance found it hard to make any impact in a quiet first half. The 64s ensured the win with a goal by the ever impressive Kamal who slotted one in from a corner. After a surprising first game draw this was not quite 64s at their best but was a win none the less. As for Happenstance they only ever looked like getting a draw from this game at the best.

Tin Can Club 0-3 Haden United

Tin Can Club failed to make an impact against an in form United who played some impressive football to win 3-0 away. Tin Can Club played 4-3-3 and tried to take the game to United but left their midfield underpowered and had less chances and possession than United. All the goals came from Uniteds midfield bar an unfortunate own goal at the end of the game. The other two were a shot by Eveleens set up by Dinsdale and a breakaway goal by Agostini slotted through by Calcone. It was a hard game for Tin Can Club to bounce back from but they have to try and move forward. For United tougher tests will come but they are experiencing a very positive start to the sesaon.

Essex Elites 1-0 Dysonism F.C

The Elites scored a vital first win against Dysonism in what was an intriguing and ill tempered match. 4 yellow cards were handed out in the first 30 mins of the game and Dysonisms captian Dunwell was badly injured in a reckless tackle after 29 minutes. While Dysonism dominated possession and chances without Dunwell at the back when the Elites got their one chance they took it. Midfielder Ling created space for himself and hit a shot that drove itself directly into the bottom right hand corner of the goal. Later in the match the Elites had a defender sent off but still managed to hang on to take the win. Most of the drama in this game came from the aggressive nature of both teams rather than the football played but the Elites gained their first points of the campaign and will be happy with that.

Roostophe Rovers 4-0 MadDog United

Rovers were in stunning form as they played the first match of their campaign to try and defend their title. After 25 minutes they had scored 4 times and the match was effectively over. Sheldon was on top form curling in a free kick and setting up a goal. United played 5-4-1 in an attempt to stop a result like this but their was not much they could do. To confound their afternoon they had a penalty given to them which midfield star Hadley blasted over the bar. For Rovers this is a great start and shows they really are the team still to beat. For United like all the newly promoted teams they are struggling and need to pick up points somewhere fast.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Essex Elites 1 Dysonism F.C, a needed win for the Elites and a bad result for Dysonism who dominated most of the game.

Turned on the Style Award: Roostophe Rovers, 4 goals in the first 25 minutes of the match offensive force on an awesome scale.

Player of the Day: Ali Kamal, The 64s, The 64s needed a man to take the game by the scruff of the neck and score and Kamal did just that.

Battlestar Odwinica 2-0 Cubic County

Odwinica met Cubic County in a match that saw two contrasting styles. County played 3-4-3 and tried to out gun an Odwinica who played 4-4-2 with their two new veteran star defenders Cabrera and Passoni. These two men along with the captain of the team kept the Odwinica defense rock solid. Not only this but Passoni curled in free kick just outside the box to give Odwinica the lead. This was followed up late in the game as Collin hit in his 10th goal for Odwinica in his career. Odwinica are back on track after their opening loss but County still need to get a win if they want to avoid a repeat of last season.

Edd Kirby Athletic 2-0 Silverdale Hotpot

Athletic have never lost to Hotpot and won against them again today in a match that was full of late end drama. Both teams played 4-3-3 but were unable to make many chances to complement their attacking style of play. For Hotpot things took a turn for the worse as star striker Sidwell was forced to retire from the match after sustaining a minor injury. It wasn't until 4 minutes remained though until Athletic made a break through. Bennington scored his first goal for the club as he chested down a cross and blasted it in. Moments later Gascoigne made sure it was a victory with a crisp header in. Both these teams know they can go up from this league and Silverdale will want to get that first win against Athletic in their next encounter.

AFC Rez Rabies 1-1 DuDs Baggies

After beating Cube away in the opening game the Baggies wanted to repeat the trick again against Rabies. However they proved to be tougher opponents and the Baggies had to be satisfied with a point. It was the Baggies who had more chances in a cagey match but Rabies put enough pressure on to win a penalty which Wiberg converted with ease. However future star midfielder Zipper volleyed home an swinging corner ball to make it 1-1. Both sides were equal in play and neither had any real flair, it is the Baggies who will have profited from this result more as Rabies still look for 3 points from another source.

Emo Blades 1-1 Mcoys Sons

Another match that was a rather slow starting affair was one between two of the more respected tactical managers as the Blades took on the Sons for the first time. After a quiet first half the Sons struck first via a header from Harris that rebounded in off the post to make it 1-0. However as the Blades had their backs against the wall they knew they had to start playing more aggressive football. Their response was a dramatic one as Zeca burst past the Sons defense and wrong footed the goalie to score a superb goal. Both teams laid back after this and a draw seemed a fair result and a good one for the Sons.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Battlestar Odwinica 2-0 Cubic County, another loss for County and a good win for Odwinica.

Turned on the Style Award: Battlestar Odwinica, not the most stylish of game days for any teams but Odwinica played with some flair.

Player of the Day: Pasquale Passoni, secured Odwinicas defense and hit in a great direct free kick.

http://www.uksoccershop.com/images/football%20league%201.gif

Made of Win 3-0 Eights United

Made of Win may have an absent manager but it didn't stop them from scoring a great win against Eights United. Winston was on sterling form for Win as he scored a hat-trick to make the victory an inevitable one. Sprinting past Uniteds woeful defense on two separate occasions wasn't good enough for Winston who later deftly poked in a close range shot to make it 3. The loss is embarrassing for United but they are themselves a new side who still seem to have real form issues as all their players are performing under par.

Discount Viagra 1-0 Complete Domstercool

Viagra scored their first ever win with a hard fought 1-0 victory against Domstercool. Playing 4-3-3 they put pressure on the veteran side and scored after 3 minutes as Flood headed the ball in. Domstercool frankly had nothing to offer in return their striking force seems to be a really weak force even against new teams like Viagra. Viagras midfield failed to make much more of an impact but the damage had already been done. Viagra supporters were happy as their team cruised to their first points in the league and their first victory a job well done!

Soap Box Utd 3-0 Dudezz

Utd kept their impressive start to the season going as they decimated Dudezz in a comfortable fashion. Utd played 3-4-3 and had confidence gleaming from all of their players however the first half lacked any goals for either side. The captain Aflen started the scoring off as his freekick ricocheted off the bar into the net. Rosando scored soon after then Aflen set up Bose from another one of his free kicks to make it 3-0. Utd were the deserved winners with 9 chances and are establishing themselves as one of the dominant players of this league. Dudezz have started well to though and need to try and keep up momentum after this blow to their confidence.

Martinsts Men 2-1 Jaffa Munchers

The Men earned a great victory over the Munchers in a tense match that nearly boiled over as both teams tried to get what they could from it. Irving and Millen led a thrilling first few minutes as they scored one each within the first 6 minutes of the game. This shocked the Munchers who retaliated with a break away to make it 2-1. However the game was full of injuries and yellow cards as both teams scrapped to try and take the intuitive. However it was the Men who made chance after chance and should have made it 3 as they were awarded a penalty which was saved by the Munchers goalie. In the end 2-1 was the final score and the Men earned their first competitive win of their clubs existence against a side that many tip to be promoted.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Marinsts Men 2-1 Jaffa Munchers, good hard fought for win by the Men against a tough Munchers side.

Turned on the Style Award: Soap Box Utd, 9 chances and a 3-0 win impressive stuff.

Player of the Day: Deane Winston, Made of Win, a classy hat-trick to seal an unexpected victory.

Some of your lower skilled players are injured and they're not taken into account with the team skill average. When they recover your skill will drop again. :heh:

It was an expected result against jayseven. A better team at their venue. In the same situationl most of the time the win will go to the home side. (And his tactics were better than mine.) I was going to stick out a youth side today, I wish I had. :(

Actually, looking at the report, your choice of playmaker is mental.

I never have. :heh:

24-11-2009, 02:00 PM
Odwin; yeah, I figured I had the rest of your tactics pin-pointed, but even I can't see why I chose him as my playmaker - if I had gone for piechnik I think I'd've scored more goals.

I'm never comfortable with 1-0 wins/losses, but my Packham (we must have cousins in our squads or something, Odwin) was injured and I didnt want to risk an all-out assault without my goal in safe hands.

Our league is still ridiculous - no gaps have formed anywhere. I have a game in hand over DuD, therefore I'd say I'm in the strongest position at the moment. I think after friday's round we'll see a bit more of a divide in the teams.

I'm pretty confident I can beat Eddage's side and complete the relegated-teams hat trick :P ReZ's team basically took the piss with 4 up-front. If he had fiddled his tactics a bit different he'd've had more chances, I reckon (minus the long-range shots).

Haden
24-11-2009, 02:51 PM

Mr_Odwin
25-11-2009, 03:23 PM
I always get my youth up to 100% experience. Not doing that would make me cry.

Say you get a 26 year old 8 - he seems great but he'll likely only ever max out at a 10 or 11. You get an 18 year old 4, treat him right and he'll max out at a 13 or a 14. You'd hope that the 18 year old would hit 8 skill bars by the time they're just 23 (22 with a lot of luck, or a training cone).

Ellmeister

So what does not being in the line up do to form or average form? Anything?

Brian Mcoy
25-11-2009, 04:40 PM
So what does not being in the line up do to form or average form? Anything?

Mcoy thinks there are a whole lots of facts that can affect form along with randomness. Mcoy thinks that younger players who have not played too much will not be affected much by being on the bench where as an experienced vet may lose form after a few games as he is being left out.

Mcoys example for players on the pitch seems to be like this. The opposition have 7 chances and your goalkeeper saves them all scoring a massive form boost, however this could drastically hit your defence as their job to prevent chances has failed. Mcoys second example, your midfield sets up a lot of chances and your strikers score 3/4 of them giving a nice form boost to the midfield and attack. Mcoy however has seen his players do awesome and still have a slight form decrease. Mcoy thinks age takes a very important part in this as well.

Mcoy also agrees with the other statements, Mcoy knows he may have some relegation problems but he still aims for high form and 100% ME

Dysonism F.C 1-3 Secret United

Dysonism suffered a big loss to an impressive United who were in fine form at the Temple of Dysonism. Dysonism played 3-5-2 but seemed unable to cope with Uniteds fine attacking display as Crowley headed two in before the first half was done. While they had 5 in midfield Dysonism created the same amount of chances as United and shared the same possession level. A 3rd goal for United just after the half restarted finished the match with a Sandford header for Dysonism being a consolation rather than a real threat. United have now gained great wins over the Elites and Dysonism away and are looking like a real threat for the title. Dysonism on the other hand seem to have so much potential but defiantly had an off game today.

Tin Can Club 1-3 The Sixty Fourthers

The Sixty Fourthers showed they are back in full form as they scored a deserved victory over struggling Tin Can Club. Tin Can Club played 4-3-3 and attempted to outscore the 64s, however like the previous match the 64s more traditional 4-4-2 formation held solid. The 64s with their stronger midfield had 3 times the amount of chances of Tin Can Club. They took the lead after 8 minutes as Rikabi headed one past the goalie. However when Tin Can did make chances they converted, youth striker Saaf scored his first goal for the club as he was set up with a wonderful through ball by Gottskalk. The 64s quality shone through though and goals by Yaketi and Kamal ensured the victory. The 64s win puts them in the ascendancy and looking for fresh victims, for Tin Can Club they are quickly learning this league is unforgiving and need to get some results pretty quickly to stay in it.

Haden United 2-0 Essex Elites

United beat the Elites in a contest were United while not at their best shut the Elites down. With 7 chances to 1 and nearly 60% possession United always looked like winning if they could turn their dominance of the ball into goals. Agostini after coming on as a sub skilfully chested down a set piece cross and hit in the first goal pass the flailing goalie. Headon found himself with the ball moments before the 1st half and scored the 44th goal of his career as he turned a defender and lobbed it over the goalies head. The Elites were far from hopeless but lacked a certain game changing ability and looked unable to step up to the plate as they came out in the 2nd half. United are keeping the win streak going and are out the blocks fast while the Elites still look like they could fall into trouble if they are not careful.

Happenstance FC 2-2 Roostophe Rovers

Happenstance looked like they had stage fright as defending champions Rovers scored after 10 minutes with Sheldon drilling in a fierce free kick. Another star player Bond headed in the 28th goal of his career to cement the feeling that Happenstance were heading for another loss. However Rovers lost crucial defender Nugent in the 26th minute to a nasty tackle. Happenstance seemed lifted by this fact and club legend Burbage found a way through the weakened Rovers defense to make it 2-1 before half time. After half time Burbage worked his way down Rovers win and swung in a cross that Burnell connected with to make it 2-2. Rovers had nothing left to offer and it was Happenstance who were searching for the win. However Rovers did hold out and lost another 2 points many would have expected them to take. For Happenstance they fought hard for their first points and come away ready to build on this game.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Happenstance FC 2-2 Roostophe Rovers, great comeback for Happenstance earning a heroic draw, Rovers may rue the lost points later in the season.

Turned on the Style Award: The 64s, played with great style to show they may well be the side of the moment.

Player of the Day: Shaun Burbage, Happenstance FC, scored one and set one up a true club legend earned his team a crucial point.

Silverdale Hotpot 1-1 Noodle Esporte Clube

These two teams have had a few battles in their time and seem to stay in the same leagues as each other, however Noodle has never triumphed over Silverdale. Today was no different but Noodle will feel better with the outcome. Both teams played 4-4-2 but Silverdale seemed to have more coherence to their attack with 8 chances to Noodles 3. Despite this Noodle struck first as young defender Pesquero struck a looping header home to shock the home fans. A spout of yellow cards and injuries threated to undermine the good football that was being played, this was forgotten as Silverdale legend Sidwell slotted in the 26th goal of his career to make things 1-1. Silverdale pushed forward for more but a stirring effort from Noodles defense and goalie made sure both teams took something home from this match. Both these teams are veterans of this league and it is hard to tell where they will end up in this league but their rivalry will surely be fired up for the rematch.

Battlestar Odwinica 3-1 AFC Rez Rabies

Odwinica suffered a large blow in this match that should be reported first before any of the goals. New star defender Cabrera was badly injured as he fell awkwardly and twisted his ankle in a gruesome looking injury on 16 minutes. He will be out until early December in what is a cruel blow for Odwinica. After seeing this incident the rest of Odwinicas players rallied forward to do the best without their fallen team mate. Collin and Tate combined as Tate headed in a Collin cross to make it 1-0 to Odwinica. Tate scored again after the break and Collin set up another goal this time for Groves as the two players had great games to give Odwinica the win. Rabies played 4-3-3 and Wiberg scored a consolation goal, but the great defending Passoni and other Odwinica defenders made sure it was only 1. Rabies suffer their first loss while Odwinica prove they can function without their stars.

DuDs Baggies 2-3 Emo Blades

Two teams that many are tipping to be near the top of this two close to call league participated in a thriller today. Baggies wary of the Blades defensive reputation played 4-3-3 and seemed to have the early momentum. As Blades star goalie Packham was badly injured and they took the lead minutes later as Gurara struck a shot that went in off the post. However Higgs curled in a goal of his own before half time to make it 1-1 going into the break. Piechnik assisted by Berenger rose above the Baggies defense and headed a goal in to make it 2-1 to the Blades. However with the home crowd behind them the Baggies hit back as Guara produced some magical dribbling skills taking it past two defenders before whacking it home. With moments to go this back and forth game was given one last bit of drama as Piechnik nutmegged a Baggies defender and flicked it past their goalie. It was the end to an incredible game where 3 points were deserved by both teams but it was the Blades who took home all the glory.

Cubic County 2-1 Edd Kirby Athletic

County badly needed some confidence to be injected into their side and this game may have given it to them. The game was tension filled and 4 yellow cards were handed out in the 1st half with no goals from either team. County came out the brighter team and as they hurtled forward a cross forced a mistake by Athletic player Bennington who headed the goal into his net. County were made to fight for their first win though, as Bennington made up for his mistake heading the ball into the correct net late in the 2nd half. County fans were leaving already in the 81st minute just as Hewitt scored an incredible diving header to give County a deserved victory. The fans went wild and Countys future looked a bit brighter.

Analysis

Most Important Result: DuDs Baggies 2-3 Emo Blades, great match and great win for the Blades this one may affect promotions down the line.

Turned on the Style Award: Emo Blades, had to come out their shells and fight for a dramatic win with attacking football.

Player of the Day: Rudolf Piechnik, Emo Blades, a thorn in the Baggies side his goals may help his side later in the season to promotion or even a championship.

Complete Domstercool 3-2 Martinsts Men

These two teams participated in a dramatic match that nearly gave the Men their first away win. Midfielder Johnson first broke away from the Domstercool defense after 4 minutes to make it 1-0 and then headed in a White cross to give the Men some huge momentum. This was combined with Domstercools midfielder Siddall being badly injured. However Domstercool were not done and their sole striker Rodwell toe poked in a cross to make it 2-1 to the Men. After half time various late challenges meant both sides were given a tally of yellow cards. Through this chaos Domstercool earned two more goals the first a cleanly struck shot by Richards just outside the 6 yard box and the second a wonder goal by Mashiter that went into the top left corner from outside the box. As both sides went at each other various nasty tackles flew in with White and Richards being sent off leaving both sides with 10 men. In the end Domstercool closed out this dramatic match to at last record a win, but the Men showed spirit in this bitter match.

Jaffa Munchers 3-1 Recall United

Some bad discipline meant United's failure to gain any points from Munchers in matches past and present continued. After 28 minutes United gave away a penalty which captain Haky coolly converted for the Munchers. United's star duo of Hollingdale and Wallgren combined to make things level. This was very short lived as Munchers regained the lead via a Albalah shot a minute later! In the 2nd half any chances of a United fightback were dashed as striker Deacon pushed over Munchers goalkeeper after a heated confrontation. He was given a straight red and United lost any potential bite they had, Gasbo curled a effort in from outside the box to make it 3 and finish the game. Munchers and United are two teams that are both tipped to be promoted and the rematch will be an interesting one.

Dudezz 3-1 Made of Win

Dudezz gained 3 points against manager less Made of Win in an entertaining match. Winston the hat trick hero scored first to signal another miracle victory for Made of Win. However this time it was not to be. Dudezz with Hand at the back keeping an organized defense pushed forward scoring 3 times with Stone again making a great impact. He swung in a deadly cross for the 2nd goal for Hannam who was another star player for Dudezz. He then set Stone up who broke away from the lackluster Made of Win defense. Dudezz are outsiders but are chalking up wins against veteran teams that have fallen into disrepair. Made of Win just want some love from a manager!

Discount Viagra 2-1 Soap Box Utd

Viagra earned a famous victory over Utd, it is their first big win and one they deserved. Playing 4-3-3 they showed no fear. Beans commanded a weakened midfield and set up Ewing for the first Viagra goal. However a side with Utds potential didn't let Viagra win that easy. Bose proved his worth with another goal for Utd. But Beans was inspired and threaded the ball through for Flood who slid his shot past the keeper. Utd had no response, they played some youth players and paid the price. But this is not to take anything away from Viagra who earnt themselves a standing ovation from their home fans.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Discount Viagra 2-1 Soap Box Utd, great victory for Viagra and a bit of a stumble for one of the strongest team in the league.

Turned on the Style Award: Dudezz, played with a real flair that should make other teams take notice.

Player of the Day: David Beans, Dudezz, played well above his estimated level and set up 2 goals that gave Dudezz a heroic victory.

Happenstance FC 3-0 MadDog United

Happenstance became the first promoted side to win a game and moved out of the relegation zone at the expense of fellow promotees MadDog. Happenstance were a side inspired and played with a great sense of team work. Alejo and Curtis scored from a free kick and a penalty early on as Happenstance won on every area of the pitch. United's 4-5-1 formation proved ineffectual as Happenstance's midfield were on fine form. Curtis headed in a second to make it 3-0, while Uniteds day got worse as youth Sedgewick on his first game made two rash tackles and was sent off. Happenstance were deserved winners and need to now keep momentum up, as for MadDog United they are in a must win game against Tin Can Club next.

Roostophe Rovers 1-1 Tin Can Club

This was a tale of two keepers as Rovers youth keeper Tsuzuki had a real mare of a game against a weakened Tin Can Club attack. While Tin Can's goalie Runarsson had a splendid game and was a huge credit to the game being a draw. Tin Can Club went ahead to the amazement of their fans as Unnarsson converted a spot kick given to them after the Rovers goalie upended a striker. Tin Can Clubs defense was supreme but all of Rovers pressure eventually paid off in the 2nd half when the captain Hapgood blasted home the ball from close range after some sustained attacking play. Moments later Rovers attacked again and Little a young striker for Rovers was pushed in the box, he stepped up to take the penalty and smashed it over the bar. He held his head in his hands as his older team mates gathered round him to comfort him. Tin Can Club made sure Rovers paid for this mistake and earned a fabulous draw, as for Rovers their season has yet to hit full stride and youth players are not making the best impression.

The Sixty Fourthers 2-3 Essex Elites

Elites seem to be the team that comes up with shocks just when they are needed. These two teams went back and forth with 64s scoring first via a graceful Tigris header. Gledhill proved his worth again as a new player as he thumped home an equalizer from outside the box. Hooke the Elites captain had a stunning game and set up their 2nd goal turning one player, weaving down the wing and curling in a ball for Carpenter to head home. 64's did have more chances though and made it 2-2 soon after as Yaketi flicked one in from a corner. The 2nd half was tight as both teams badly wanted a victory. It was the Elites though who had never beaten the 64s before today who stepped up and grabbed the points. Hooke floated forward a 30 yard pass over the 64s defense that Canham chested down in the box and hit in. The Elites are a team that noone can quite figure out bad results one week, incredible feats the next, truly the wildcards of the league. The 64s lost the championship last season because of results like this they need to finish games off when they get a lead.

Secret United 0-0 Haden United

Two teams that have come out the traps sprinting have been these two. Rather than a classic they both showed that they want the championship so much they are unwilling to risk anything at this point. Both teams played 4-4-2 and seemed to know each others moves off by heart. The result will probably be regarded as a triumph for Haden United as they were away. However it is the case of winning a battle rather than a war. Watch the return match these two have when the stakes will be much higher.

Analysis

Most Important Result: The 64s 2-3 Essex Elites, The Elites seem to turn up every time in this part of the awards, a great victory for them.

Turned on the Style Award: Happenstance FC, they needed to show some flair and they did can they build on this now?

Player of the Day: Tin Can Club, Birkir Runarsson, his heroics along with his defenses wonderful effort gained his team a incredible point.

I like to stagger ages and skills and have golden generations ready for the future. The player that is actually annoying me is the piece of garbage Harrington he was a 5 23 year old when he joined me! A 5!!! Hes progressed 2 bars in 10 years I've no idea how hes escaped my wrath all these years.

Mr_Odwin
28-11-2009, 10:02 AM
Ooooooh, a staggered generation system. I like a rolling system where as the older player falls off (sold/retires) a new 16/17/18 yr old comes in. I try to have 2/3 years between players - but with a new team it takes a while to get to that stage. At the mo I'm developing an excess of youth so I can sell some and buy highly skilled older players. Like ... next season I'll sell my two eldest forwards and Oliver to buy a big dude and an 18 4. Midfield may change too. Reserve keeper will get sold if he goes up a visible skill bar.

I'm a selling machine.

I blew quite a bit of money on him, but i'm planning on building up a team from scratch and he seemed like an ideal striker to start with.

Mcoy knows there was a lot of cheating before with people setting up deliberate trades/money transfer.

Mcoy has heard if you've done nothing wrong you'll be fine so just give it a little while.

Roostophe
30-11-2009, 02:10 AM
Yeah, it's what Mcoy said. There's been a bit of cheating.

I found something about it on Xpert Daily in the Lobby:

Monitoring of the transfer market
In order to prevent attempts to cheat on the transfer market, where players are sold for too high amounts that would benefit some team a lot, we will from now on monitor the transfer market. Initially it will mainly concern our official league systems.

If a transfer deal seems dodgy, the two involved managers will receive a mail that informs them that the specific transfer deal will be reviewed. Members of the support crew will then review each suspect transfer and either approve or deny the transfer. We will of course not reveal any details about what makes a transfer suspect or what criterias the support crew will follow when reviewing cases.

By monitoring the transfer market we hope to catch the cheaters before any damage is done and also simply being able to deny a transfer that is highly unfair to other managers although cheating wasn´t involved.

A transfer deal that is considered suspicious will be reviewed within 24 hours.

I'm sure you'll be alright, though. They probably think you've had to pay too much.

DuD
30-11-2009, 02:39 AM
In the end i payed 2-3 million more than the "average" transfer fee for similar players, but he was about the 4th player like that i had bid on and they all went for around the same figure.
I definately spent more than i would have liked, but you've got to be the highest bidder if you want the player.

I'm intending on using this season to completely rebuild the team, and was hoping that i could turn the 16/3 into hopefully a 17/5 next season and within a couple of seasons time have him as a main striker.
I need to get rid of two of my keepers and bring in a fairly decent 2nd keeper over the course of the season, i'm thinking a 26 year old with fair skill, then bring in a youth 3rd keeper as i don't reckon it'll be long till my number one retires.
I've still got some tinkering to be doing with the defence and midfield too.

I'm trying to sell a 36/11 striker to try and fund some of this development, but no-one seems to want him :(

:EDIT:

The transfer went through this morning, got some selling to be doing now.

My result against Edd didn't go my way at all - lost 3-2 (all the goals were headers!!), and picked up another fucking injury. That's 3 in two games. My good keeper's back, my midfielder should be ready for tomorrow's game but my defender's out for the next three games. Rubbish.

Form's down everywhere. My players hated losing that match.

On the plus side my official team won 4-0. My team had 12 chances, the opposition had none. I rock.

... Just realised there are only two games left of the season in the official league. Promotion looks likely (yay) but I've got two forwards, a keeper and one midfielder that have no chance at all of having full match experience.

Noodle Esporte Clube 4-2 Cubic County

Noodle scored their first win of the season over a inconsistent County side. County played a very young defense who were exposed quickly as Batistuta hit in a goal off the post after 3 minutes. County hit back with Dale providing young striker Harley with a easy finish to make it 1-1. Both teams scored another couple to make it 2-2 soon after the break, but it was Noodle who were the more creative and Batistuta who was in great form easily broke away from the County defense to make it 3, captain Zakay also found himself able to run past the County back four to make it 4-2. The report was able to learn that County let go young defender Vranken after this performance and gave a stern warning to other defensive players. For Noodle it was a badly needed win which they fully deserved.

AFC Rez Rabies 2-1 Edd Kirby Athletic

Rabies utterly shocked Athletic when they came out and started with a 4-2-4 formation. Athletic themselves played a 4-3-3 thinking that would be offensive enough! Both teams only created a few chances with their midfields being so lacking in players. The middle of the pitch only had 5 players fighting for the ball most of the time. However Rabies when they did get chances made a great impression, as Gladh fed Wiberg two chances that he converted. The first was a long range shot that Wiberg smashed in and the second was a Gladh through ball that Wiberg attached himself to and scored. Young Athletic striker Mckenna found a way past the Rabies defense at the death to score a consolation and his 1st goal of the season. However it was Rabies who with extreme tactics chalked up their first win of the season.

Emo Blades 1-0 Battlestar Odwinica

This match was seen by many to be a possible title contenders battle and while not being the most exciting match in the league was a nail biter as the two teams tested each other. The Blades played 4-5-1 hoping to dominate play and this tactic seemed to work well as their midfield produced a solid goal early on, Piechink headed in a cross to make it 1-0. After this the game petered out slightly, both midfields were a good match for each other and both teams are known for their strong defensive displays. In the end the Blades took the points and keep up their ominous looking early run, for Odwinica its another loss but they still look like a team that are gunning for two promotions in two seasons.

DuDs Baggies 3-0 Mcoys Sons

Another team that is going for a double promotion is the Baggies. Facing the last of the promoted sides the Sons they comprehensively beat them by 3 goals to 0. The Baggies played 3-5-2 to the Sons 4-3-3 but looked much more at ease with their play than a haphazard Sons. The Baggies earned more possession and made 5 chances to the Sons 2. Out of these they scored 3 with one player from each part of the pitch (bar the goalie) putting one in. After this assault the Sons could have given themselves a glimmer of hope at the 59 minute mark as they were awarded a penalty. But Baggies striker Johnston with cat like reflexes pushed the ball over the bar and kept Baggies clean sheet intact. The game turned slightly nasty after this as two Baggies scorers were injured and two Sons players given yellow cards. But the Baggies won't care a great performance promotion worthy. As for the Sons still no victory things are starting to look a tad grim.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Emo Blades 1-0 Battlestar Odwinica, boring but important result as these two look to be title contenders.

Turned on the Style Award: Noodle Esporte Club, 10 chances and 4 goals awesome creative display.

Player of the Day: Micael Wiberg, AFC Rez Rabies, him and Gladh share this award really as they both combined to give Rabies sheer offensive power.

Recall United 2-1 Complete Domstercool

Recall United playing a 5-4-1 formation got a hard fought win against Domstercool in a lively match. United created 11 chances but with only 1 striker they found it hard to convert this into goals. Regardless of this Domstercool were very poor and United had as noted a large amount of chances to strike. They took two of these chances as Streep in one of his best games hit in a half volley to put United ahead. New signing Askey found himself up front alone but he scored his first ever goal when he found himself with the ball in the box and slotted one past the goalie. Domstercool tried to hit back and while floating a ball into the cross in the melee Whiteside scored an unfortunate own goal. However this was to little to late and Recall picked up a solid win as both these teams try to break from the pack.

Soap Box Utd 4-1 Martinists Men

Utd and the Men took part in a brutal match that saw Utd eventually triumph with a large victory. In the first 28 minutes there were 4 yellow cards and 2 injuries including a horrific one to Utd captain and star player Alfen. Men's player Lambert was also stretchered off just after the 2nd half began, he will also be out of action for a long time. In the end Utd attacked the Men through this chaos with their 3-4-3 formation. Perisjn the Utd striker had a superb game scoring a hat-trick. He broke away from the Men's defense, headed another in and then shot in a sweetly struck goal just before the end of the game. The Men really stood no chance and may rather have had a quieter game if they knew they were going to lose anyway. For Utd promotion really does seem assured with these results things are looking very positive indeed for them.

Dudezz 1-2 Eights United

Eights United earned their first win of the season against a lacking Dudezz. United playing 4-3-3 had an extra force in their attack as they went after the Dudezz.. While the Dudezz had much more possession they failed to make the most of it. Also their goalkeeper Birchill gave one of the worst performances the report has ever seen. With this in mind it was Sandelin the 18 year old who curled in a direct free kick for his first ever goal to put United in the lead. Stone who has been prolfic for Dudezz this season hit one in a few minutes later to tie it up at 1-1. United's best striker Flatland playing his 1st game for the club hit a belter home that the hopeless Birchill could only stare at as it hit the back of the net. Eights United needed the win to get off the bottom of the table, for Dudezz it comes as a bit of a bump in their promotion campaign. They were not awful but their defense was pretty bad.

Made of Win 0-4 Discount Viagra

Viagra defeated the managerless Made of Win with an early Flood of goals that saw them 2-0 before half time. With a 4-3-3 formation Viagra seemed to be out for the kill and after the break they were rewarded with two more goals. For a new team their offensive score was very impressive with most of their players playing above their potential. With a shock victory over Shorty, Discount Viagra look to be the dark horse team this season that many bookies are cutting odds on to be promoted.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Dudezz 1-2 Eights United, United get off the mark and Dudezz lose a chance to make a big impact on the top teams.

Turned on the Style Award: Soap Box Utd, 14 chances and 4 goals, quite a scary team to play against.

Player of the Day: Miel Persijn, Soap Box Utd, a hat trick marked this veterans 94th appearance for his club, awesome stuff.

Obviously everyone (including me!) is sick and tired of late reports. I think I am just going to have to skip a report to catch up. I am seeing family soon so may miss this Tuesdays report. As usual sorry guys! Family, GTP applications, sadly no love life to use as an excuse but I will try my best to keep it all flowing.

Good results all around for me. 2nd in the league, 4 points behind the leader and I haven't played any of the newly promoted teams. Played all the best teams and I'm still without a loss.

Mcoy netted his first win with a cleansheet to boot for his new goalkeeper who has had two shcoking first games.

Mcoy created plenty of chances however the oppositions keeper was top notch saving 4-5 shots. A long shot was disallowed due to a foul but Mcoy took home 3 points with a header in the end. Mcoy still feels a little edgy but is happy his players performed well and held a cleansheet.

From the X11 Forum:

We have been working on a new design for Xpert Eleven for quite a while as most of you know. And finally we are ready to release it.

We have chosen to release it as a beta version initially. This means that it almost the final release but there may still be some design flaws and maybe some bug that we haven't yet discovered. It has been tested quite thoroughly though and it is almost just as trustworthy as the old version.

We have decided to do this prerelease in the forums to let a smaller number of users try the new version initially. Then we will later this week or next week make an official announcement and release of this beta version in Xpert Daily.

The new version of Xpert Eleven will run parallell to the old version for a while until we consider the new version ready to replace the old version. This way you will also have time to get adjusted to the new look. The old version won't get any new features and it will probably be replaced by the new before the end of this year.

The new version will have more or less all features available in the old version but it will also contain quite a lot of new features. But I will let you see it for yourself.

The url for the new version of Xpert Eleven (beta version) is:
http://new.xperteleven.com/kickin.htm

I might have to mention that the site is running on the same database as the regular Xpert Eleven. Which means that everything you do on the site is the real thing. It is just a new interface.

You can log into this new one and have a look around. Looks pretty sweet at the moment. :)

Secret United 1-0 Madpool

Secret United narrowly beat a determined Madpool side. Rafaelinho shot in a well placed MacCalman cross to put United in the lead after 15 minutes. However Madpool with a 5-3-2 formation held high flying United at bay. However their attack especially Naranjo really let their manager down and failed to make the most of the 7 chances they had to score against United. United suffered a blow as MacCalman flew in with two stupid tackles and was sent off. However United held out for a vital win to position themselves as strong title contenders. Madpool by no means shamed themselves but will need to work on their attack.

Haden United 1-2 The Sixty Fourthers

United suffered their first defeat in an interesting tactical affair with the 64s. The 64s playing 5-4-1 looked solid at the back and made the most of chances they had as Gobady struck twice before half time, once from a shot from a corner and a second as he broke away from a sluggish United defense. The United keeper was badly at fault in both goals. United scored just before the half ended as their midfield combined when Calcone crossed a ball into Dinsdale to head in. United failed to create any more chances though and the 64s gained a vital away victory that tightens up the title race significantly.

Dysonism F.C 1-1 Roostophe Rovers

Dysonism looked to avenge their double defeat from Rovers last season but got off to a very bad start. Brobeck their star defender was stretchered off after a horrendous clash with his goalie on the 15 minute mark. However Rovers also suffered two injuries and the game seemed to take a while going with no chances at all in the 1st half. Mazzoleni proved his worth as he broke the deadlock by hitting in a screamer from just outside the box. Rovers seemed visibly relieved as they looked to pick up their 2nd victory of the season. However Dysonism had a sting in the tail as Boland found a way past the Rovers defense and sprinted towards the goal slotting it past the Rovers keeper. The home crowd went wild and a draw was secured. Rovers and Dysonism now surprisingly both have the same amount of points both just 2 above the relegation zone both teams hoping to climb up the table.

Essex Elites 3-0 Happenstance FC

The Elites kept their incredible push for the top tier positions going with a convincing 3-0 victory over Happenstance FC. Playing 4-3-3 the Elites were after the win and scored 3 before the 1st half to make it a easy one. Canham scored his 20th and 21st goals for the club with two close range shots that flew past the Happenstance goalie. Ling converted a penalty as the Happenstance defense while performing quite well failed to measure up to the sheer determination of the Elites offense. Happenstance stay in the relegation zone but are the side that many bet to escape it if they can score some big name wins. As for the Elites they seemed the most vulnerable of the old sides left in the league but are thriving as they are now merely 1 point from the top of the league!

Analysis

Most Important Result: Haden United 1-2 The 64s, awesome result for the 64s puts new life into the title race.

Turned on the Style Award: Essex Elites, nice high scoring win to put them within a point of the top.

Player of the Day: Alan Gobady, The 64s, two classy goals to give his side a fantastic win.

I need a bit of advice. I'm having trouble finding enough money to keep my team in good form. I need to sell a player, but I don't know who. All I know is that it can't be any of the older players (as the average age would be too low).

Any tips?

Mr_Odwin

Taufik Mulyani - You don't have average age issues in defense.
Maxwell Dunwell - Too close in age to Theo Woozley (Replace with an 17/18 4)
Jeffrey Norcott - Too close in age to Paddy Gould. Goal Instincts will bring the econ flowing in.

All possibilities. Your team is a mess btw. :heh:

All possibilities. Your team is a mess btw. :heh:

I know, and it's taking ages to fix. I spent ages thinking that the small bar on the training section was "player's form will be this much after training" so all my main players went down/didn't change so I focused on slowly getting youth players.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll try Taufik Mulyani first - hopefully his leader, good positioner, King in the Air, and Good At One on Ones skills will help with lifting the price tag.

Edit:

I managed to scrape a draw, but got even more injuries.

Marshall Bain needs to die.
Indeed.

I had my own Marshall Bain today. My 6 skilled keeper Scott Johnson played a 10
I also had a 5 skill youth play an 8, and a 7 skilled midfielder notch a 10. Its all good in the hood baby :D

My strikers had a bit of a mare though: 10 chances, 2 goals. T'was enough for the points in the end, sooo :yay:

Hmmmmm I'm away next week, going to see if someone can look after it. Maybe not leave it to Jayseven this time since he kind of "forgot" the swine!

I still managed to win both games then though.

Within a point of the top! One game in hand obviously, but it just helps my chances of keeping out of relegation which you all believed I would be in!

Interesting game, played all 4 of my strikers. My star forward gets injured early on and is out until Xmas Eve (:(). And a teenage defender comes on in his place and plays upfront, and scores a goal :heh:. I feel like my season is much akin to Liverpool's....so much potential at the start but now fading away, currently in the bottom 3 after my 4th draw of the season.

On the upside, my Xpert team won 3-1 :)

Noodle Esporte Clube 2-1 Mcoys Sons

Noodle gained a close victory to separate their club from the troubles that Mcoys Sons are facing. The Sons midfield was on fire creating 7 chances however with only one striker they only converted one chance against Noodles impressive defense. Noodle on the other hand only created 3 chances but put in 2. The first was a Vicente breakaway as he glided past Sons 5 defenders in a diagonal run before beating the goalie in a 1 on 1 situation. Barros the young forward headed in his first of the season to make sure it was all over before half time. A late strike by Gaye only helped the Sons goal difference. Noodle now look set to be up their contending for promotion while the Sons problems continue to mount.

Edd Kirby Athletic 2-0 DuDs Baggies

Athletic earned a needed victory against the high flying Baggies to keep their promotion hopes realistic. Baggies played a 4-3-3 formation but their attacks seemed to rebound off the impressive Athletic defense of 3 players! Gasgoine the defender led the way but the real star was the young goalie Bain who had a phenomenal game to keep the Baggies attack at bay. Saeys and Fishlock combined to score and set each other up with a breakaway and close range shot to give Athletic an early 2-0 lead. As noted despite a rampant Baggies attack they could never penetrate the Athletic goal. Athletic and Baggies are both now poised to be promotion contenders and the return leg will be a interesting one to say the least.

Cubic County 0-1 AFC Rez Rabies

County and Rabies participated in an ill tempered match that saw 6 yellow cards handed out. County dominated possession but Rabies notched up their 4th victory in a row as Wiberg passed through to Zellman who curled a beauty of a goal in to the top left hand corner on the 35 minute mark. Gould and Maupas two future County stars were both injured in what was a miserable match for County who failed to match Rabies style of play. County badly needed a win or at least a point and are starting to look like real relegation contenders. While Rabies are on a massive role and seem to be the team to beat.

Silverdale Hotpot 0-0 Emo Blades

Silverdale and the Blades found themselves sharing the points in a 0-0 draw. Silverdales young midfield created only 1 chance the entire game compared to the impressive Blades midfield of 5 who made a massive 8 chances in the match. However Blades left Zeca to fend for himself at the front and he had no luck at all converting any of the chances without a creative partner to help him. Both the teams are currently teetering more towards the relegation zone than the promotion zone but the middle league is so close currently this really means nothing. The draw favors the Blades more who will surely be more offensive in the return match.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Edd Kirby Athletic 2-0 DuDs Baggies, was very important Athletic took this win to stop Baggies getting out of their sights.

Turned on the Style Award: Edd Kirby Athletic, creative play allowed them to score 2 goals and make 6 chances.

Player of the Day: Marshall Bain, Edd Kirby Athletic, clean sweep for Athletic as the supreme Bain easily takes this award for his goalie heroics.

Martinists Men 1-1 Dudezz

Two of the mid table lower teams clashed and shared the points in this game. Stone hit a long shot in early that silenced the home crowd as the Dudezz took a shock lead. However White with his 2nd goal of the season hit a long shot in of his own. Moments later the Men pushed forward and earned themselves a penalty. Johnson stepped up to take it but blasted it over the bar as the home fans let out an audible groan. The 2nd half was quiet both teams only created 1 chance each and the game ended in a draw. Both these teams look to be staying in this league but both have potential and should use the time if they do stay to train their players for the future.

Jaffa Munchers 4-0 Made of Win

Jaffa Munchers scored a great victory over the managerless Made of Win. With goals or assists from nearly every one of the Munchers forwards and midfielders Munchers were out to prove the breadth of talent that is in their team. Haky was particularly impressive setting up a headed goal and then heading in a goal of his own later in the match. Molhov the captain was also very impressive netting his first goal of the campaign as he hit in a direct free kick that went in off the post beating a hapless goalie. Munchers are rebuilding momentum and after missing out last season badly want to be promoted this time around.

Recall United 3-0 Eights United

Recall gained a great victory over Eights United to add potency to their promotion effort. Whiteside was on fire as he changed the game just before half time. The Recall defender first of all smacked in a vicious free kick to give United the league and give him his first ever goal for the club. Moments later he back heeled the ball to Streep who hit in the 12th goal of his career. Eights United never really got going and Recall even with only 1 striker looked like they could score more. And score more they did as defender Berstad was sent off for two rash tackles McCartney sprinted past the two remaining Eights United defenders to make it 3 on the 90 minute mark. Recall like the Munchers are another team that want to gain promotion after missing out last time. As for Eights this season is one that should be used for team growth.

Complete Domstercool 2-1 Soap Box Utd

Domstercool earned a shock victory over Soap Box Utd who while playing better failed to gain even a point from this match. Utds 4-3-3 firstly seemed to work as Rosando and Muiren combined to put Utd ahead early on. However Utd looked shaky at the back missing their two best defenders their goalie Cevoli also had a game he would rather forget. Whiteman hit one in as Cevoli failed to deal with a Barnes cross. Rodwell then scored the winner with the 32nd goal of his career when he tapped the ball in the bottom right hand corner from point blank range. Domstercool are a team that the report hasn't always rated highly but they are stringing together wins and starting to make a big impact. It seems they refuse to be ignored and are here for the promotion race.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Complete Domstercool 2-1 Soap Box Utd, really good result for Domstercool as Soap Box Utd's injury hit sqaud stumble again.

Turned on the Style Award: Jaffa Munchers, win full of style using a variety of players in the attack.

Player of the Day: Brett Whiteside, Recall United, secured defense then scored and created a goal awesome game for this player.

Another draw - most boring match ever. I was playing careful and still cube picked up two injuries. I had his tactics sussed - except he defended my through-play attack. I suppose that's all that prevented goals?

Roostophe sitting in relegation zone makes me chuckle. "Oh, I won it so I don't give a shit anymore" is no excuse.

Next game against ReZ is a vital 'un. I may be looking at two relegations in a row - unheard of for an active manager!!

I wasn't really expecting to be able to 'hang' with last years regulars never mind you relegated aficionados. Hopefully i can keep getting as many points as possible, so that when we reach the stage of the season where i'm wrapping up the necessary appearences for the change report, i'll already be safe.

I doubt you'll get relegated, although that being said 3 teams have to be. Anyway theres a-whole-nother half to the season yet. Nothing has been decided so far.

Happenstance is Back in Black

k816dPQyPAM

Roostophe Rovers 0-1 Haden United

Rovers endured a miserable match as United scored a famous away victory over the reigning league champions. Both sides had 5 midfielders but it was United who made more chances and gained an early penalty which Moscardi hit straight down the middle for the only goal of the match. Uniteds midfield was on world class form and stopped Rovers making many chances, the two they had were well dealt with from a United defense and goalie that had a point to prove after last weeks loss. Rovers horrible season continued as with a minute to go superstar Sheldon was badly injured and will be out for a week at least. This result sees Rovers incredibly slip into the relegation zone while United reestablish control at the top of the league.

Happenstance FC 4-1 Secret United

Secret United suffered a blow to their title ambitions as they lost to a fired up Happenstance side.
United took an early lead as Kit slotted in the 15th goal of his United career. However Phingphaew and Curtis were on fire during this match, Curtis set Phingphaew up twice first with a through ball and then with an inswinging cross to give Happenstance the lead. Curtis himself scored just before the hour mark with Phingphaew breaking away from the United defense a 2nd time to make it 4-1 and confirm his hat trick. Happenstance FC completely earned this it was a performance that had players performing well all over the pitch (Harford was sublime in defense). They moved out of the relegation zone while at the same time injuring United's title push.

Dysonism F.C 6-0 Madpool

Dysonism amid talks that the clubs owner may no longer be interested in the club gave a performance that will surely make him want to stay. This was old school Dysonism, pure attacking supremacy, 2 goals in the first 10 minutes as Dunwell and Twigg got themselves on the scoreboard early on. I was 5-0 before half time as Twigg scored another set one up and Stenholm and Sandford also helped creatively. Twigg curled a long range shot in during the 2nd half to get this hat trick in an incredible performance. Madpool were completely overwhelmed and this is a damaging loss especially for their goal difference which now stands at -12 the lowest in the league. For Dysonism this now will hopefully for them push them away from the relegation battle and into the upper echelons of the league.

Tin Can Club 0-2 Essex Elites

Essex Elites made it 4 wins out of their last 5 with a hard fought victory over troubled Tin Can Club. Tin Can Club played 4-3-3 trying to attack the Elites, but the Elites defense performed very well and were able to handle any threats thrown its way. The Elites attack took a while to get going but thanks to number superiority in midfield chances were aplenty. Ling set the two goals up, both of them were made as he darted down the wings and swung balls in for Burbage and Canham. The win takes the Elites to second within 1 point of the top they are having the season of their dreams. As for Tin Can Club they seemed doomed but need to keep strong get experience and try and make the most of this season.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Roostope Rovers 0-1 Haden United, put the current champs in the relegation zone and put United back on track in the top spot.

Turned on the Style Award: Dysonism F.C, this was the old Dysonism utterly devestating and stylish.

Player of the Day: Thanit Phingphaew, Happenstance FC, proved his worth to his manager with a awesome hat trick lets hope he sticks around unlike Ronaldo!

The team i'm playing Friday in the Major League has got a new manager, and he's bought a 30 y/o 10 skilled forward for £10million. Seems a bit of a waste in the long run, though i suppose he will help them out no end this season.

DuD is dreaming of promotion

KDAS9bVRwSA

Emo Blades 0-0 Cubic County

Neither Blades or County could score in this game that finished 0-0 leaving both sets of fans disappointed. Both sides played 4-4-2 but their striking partnerships failed to beat superb defense from both sides. The midfields seemed to cancel each other out and chances were scarce. The Blades had the edge in this match but won't be to pleased with themselves. Both these teams have now not won a match in 4 games and drawn 2 of their last 4. Blades now face a double with Rabies who are leading the pack at the moment. While County face fellow relegation struggler's Mcoys Sons. Both teams need to try and get some bigger points from these doubles.

Silverdale Hotpot 1-1 Mcoys Sons

Silverdale who have been on a winless run since beating Battlestar Odwinica tried a radical new tactic to beat the Sons. Perhaps after seeing the success of Rabies they tried a 4-2-4 formation. Disaster struck early on as star striker Sidwell was hacked down and will now be out until Christmas Eve. He was substituted with young defender Morrow as Silverdale lacked any more strikers! However incredibly Lightbody set up Morrow outside the box with Morrow blasting the ball in for his first ever goal. The Sons hit back with a long shot of their own as Gaye hit one in off the post for his 2nd goal of the season. Silverdale with their lack of midfielders created no more chances and the game petered out. The two teams both stay in the relegation zone along with Cubic County and need to use their doubles to get some points.

Battlestar Odwinica 1-1 Edd Kirby Athletic

Athletic's defensive prowess was in full force as they held the feared Odwinica to a draw at their own ground. Odwinica had their two star defenders back and both teams played 4-4-2. However it was Athletic that actually struck first, Kirby Jr the promising young midfielder set up Girado who curled in a beautiful long range shot. Athletics defense was their best asset but Odwinca did get past it to make it 1-1. Gullian found himself in space and punted home the 5th goal of his career. Again Odwinica seemed to be the better side but the game was yet another draw in this league and this was probably fair. Both sides are literally just outside the promotion zone and the return leg will be one to watch.

DuDs Baggies 2-0 Noodle Esporte Clube

Baggies produced a great display to defeat Noodle and take advantage of dropped points from other sides in the league. Baggies midfield was on fire and Guara a new hot signing proved his worth scoring his 4th goal in 7 games as he nutmegged a Noodle defender and chipped the goalie. Minutes later Baggies pressure caused a mistake in Noodle's defense and an own goal was the end result. Young Noodle striker Santana was injured just after half time and substituted with Batistuta the experienced Noodle legend. However Noodle only gained a chance at the end of the game when they were awarded a penalty. The captain Dourado stepped up but nudged it to the left into the goalies grasp. The Baggies and Noodle swap positions as Noodle falls to 3rd and Baggies inch within a point of Rabies.

Analysis

Most Important Result: DuDs Baggies 2-0 Noodle Esporte Clube, great win for the Baggies to move 2nd as everyone else could only draw.

Turned on the Style Award: DuDs Baggies, 10 chances made sure this was the only win in the league.

Player of the Day: Oscar Weatherall, DuDs Baggies, great defense and an assist helped Baggies to move to 2nd with this win.

Discount Viagra 3-2 Martinists Men

The Men nearly scored a shock draw in an exciting fast paced match. Championship hopefuls Viagra seemed to have killed the match off as they scored two goals just before the end of a cagey first half. Beans and Jordan made it 2-0 leaving it all for the Men to do after half time. Johnson scored his 3rd goal of the campaign for the Men just after the break to give them a boost. Both teams then attacked with more and more pace before White whacked in a long shot to make it 2-2. However with their 3 strikers Viagra kept the pressure up and with Ewing pushed over in the box, he stepped up and made no mistake with the penalty. It was a great match and was a shame their had to be a loser. Viagra are looking more and more like promotion certainties but face a double against rivals Recall United now. The Men have a game off and should feel proud with this performance.

Jaffa Munchers 3-0 Eights United

Munchers kept up their 100% win record at home as they eased away from Eights United in a one sided match. Within 15 minutes they were 3-0 up as Poschner scored twice to bring his total to 4 in
5 games. It could have been 4 if Munchers would have converted a penalty at 20 minutes in. Eights United midfield were sadly abysmal compared to the Munchers and failed to create one chance compared to the 8 made by the Munchers. This made Uniteds 3 strikers at the front a wasted opportunity. Still Eights United are one of the only teams to take points from Viagra and their manager will see this match as a good learning opportunity hopefully. As for the Munchers they are on the ascendancy but really need to sort out their away form.

Made of Win 0-2 Complete Domstercool

Domstercool scored their first away points as they beat abandoned Made of Win 2-0. Playing a customary 4-5-1 formation Domstercool dominated both the midfield and put up a sterling defense. Holt was a rock in defense and provided Domstercools team with ample cover against Made of Wins attacks. Cooper and Rodwell provided the punch to Domstercools team which was the only thing that was missing slightly. However 2 goals was enough and Domstercool with wins over Soap Box and Jaffa Munchers are still very much in the promotion race as the dark horse candidates.

Dudezz 0-3 Recall United

Dudezz sadly seem to be yet another abandoned team that showed how hard life is without a manager as they lost to United 3-0 in a brutal match. McCartney is having a great season and scored twice today the first was a guided header and the 2nd a shot just before the final whistle. However a lot happened in between these goals. United player Dabric was sent off for a viscious tackle which soured the mood of the game. Later United player Streep and Dudezz captain Hammill were both stretchered off as the game became increasingly physical. It was United who fought through in the end though and a Streep goal before his injury was another reason why they deserved the win. United are still 3rd but have yet to get a big scalp in their wins. They have a double against Viagra now which will be their chance to shine.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Discount Viagra 3-2 Martinists Men, a hard fought victory against a heroic men side shows Viagra could possibly be championship material.

Turned on the Style Award: Jaffa Munchers, showed some class today and out foxed their opponents playing with real style.

Player of the Day: Drew McCartney, Recall United, is having a great time playing for United and shined again today.
