Developers speak about Revolution game ideas.

Just noticed this pretty interesting article over at 1up where developers theorise about revolution game ideas. Some talk about specific current games and how they could be better on Revolution and others discuss the possibilities of the games ideas that featured in the revo trailer shown at TGS.

I didn't think much of the ideas they were queried about. I can't believe they didn't touch on FPS, RTS and other genres...

I had this music idea first! And I disagree with people getting tired of creativety. They are getting tired because they cant create anything good. Take Sims for example, its a simple way to be creative.

Was it my imagination, or were most of these developers reeeeealy cautious while talking of what could be done with the controller? Some of them never got to tell us that the possibilities were endless, instead saying that somethings could be done, BUT some other things that we are used to are out of the question.

It seems to me that these are people who, having been asked about the possibilities of the controller, were happy to talk about that, but most of them are not really looking forward to work around it, since they're so dependent on the orthodox gameplay models.

That'd be a bit obvious don't you think ;)
Besides, FPS and RTS just work because the Rev controller works as well (much better actually) as a mouse - the idea isn't new, it just works fantastically. These ideas are ideas that weren't possible before, something why you'd have a Rev over a PC.

Well it looked as though all of them had put a fair bit of thought into the rev. Good news as it means they are likely to develop for it. anyhow all the comments were rather vague.

Put it this way - if you've got a great way of using this innovative controller, you're not exactly going to tell the world about an idea that could be worth millions to you, are you?

I've had several ideas myself, and bounced them around... I'm not going to spoil those ideas' chances by blabbing about them online!
