View Full Version : Paris Hilton's British Best Friend? Whatever next?!
OK, I've seen some ridiculous programmes but this is taking the mick! Has anyone else seen this?
I was channel surfing out of boredom when I found this, it's so bad it's hilarious. 12 girls and a gay battle each other to see who's worthy of becoming Paris's new friend, LMAO. It's too funny.
The challenges are even funnier. Challenge 1: Get a haircut :o:o:o. Oh no, I'm getting my hair cut for free?! AH! Any muppet can do that!
My God! This programme is hilarious. And when the girl got voted out
Paris: "She got voted out because she couldn't handle my world". WHAT WORLD?! Being spoilt? Partying? Riding limos everyday? Oh yeah Paris, who could handle that?
Man, TV is going down the pan! (mainly what the topic's about, lmao)

Paris Hilton is actually more intelligent than people believe, she's made alot of money without the help of her parents.
Not that I like sticking up for her, but she has done pretty well using the whole ''famous'' thing to her advantage, just like any of us would.

Yea, the writers strike is over. We shouldn't be getting any more of this reality-gameshow bullshit.

HEY! it's gotta be pretty tough being THAT brainless. i mean, i'm fairly dumb and it's pretty hard work maintaining even MY level of stupidity... imagine the strain it must take to be as airheaded as paris hilton...!?
it's BAFFLING!
i hardly watch tv anymore. i dont miss it at all. watching the good bits online means i dont have to sit through yet more episodes of eastenders or series's of dancing on joe (http://www.gm.tv/media/images/s/k/dancing-on-ice-logo_m.jpg).

i fixed it for you ^__^
seeeriously i'd HATE to be her publicist. i really feel for those people.
like poor jade goody's publicists. they did a fairly good job building UP her reputation then she spent a few days in the celebrity BB house last year (was it?) and completely SHAGGED all their good work.

I flicked over for two minutes and saw Paris' night club and the fake dolled up whores and thought, FUCK RIGHT OFF. Who's shitty idea was is? They should be fired. Not only that OFCOM should fine ITV for airing this trash

Making money doesn't necessarily show intelligence. Just look at Jade Goody.
"Apparently the guards put sperm in Paris Hilton’s porridge when she was in prison. That’s got to be horrible for her. “Eurgh! There’s porridge in this!" "
Frankie Boyle in his prime.
I hate her, and everything she represents. The few episodes of Simple Life I've seen had pretty funny editing though. So laughs occured. But at them, not with them.
I wish she'd just get a life. / Go back to jail.

I doubt she is intelligent. More that, there are intelligent people who help her get more money and money for themselves.

Exactly.
It's like when people say Jordan's intelligent and a good businesswoman. From seeing what I have on her various "look at my life/face" shows, she walks into a room to meet the people who decide what her new perfume will be; what it'll smell like, what it'll look lik etc. She just has to "approve" it.
No work. No intelligence.

Why?
Her personality? Her work ethic? Her intelligence? Her one decent song that is probably my only guilty pleasure that I truly feel guilty listening to, Stars Are Blind? :o

I watched it. The gay guy made me want to implode, he was just so damn annoying! The dramatic ending was hilarious too, completely over the top. Some people really need to sort out their priorities in life.

Why feel guilty? It's a good song, who cares who sings it.
--
The Simple Life (early seasons) was BRILLIANT. I laughed so hard at some of the things they ended up doing.
Why feel guilty? It's a good song, who cares who sings it.
The fact that it's blatantly quite bad, and she can't sing.

Neither can half the pop tarts nowadays...but that doesn't seem to stop anyone enjoying their music. (Just to clarify, I think the albums abysmal. I just like "Stars Are Blind")

seriosuly, shes a utter waste of skin. i know several people who say shes clever, and fashionable, but she has publicists and stylists. how much of her fame comes from her own personality? even the sex tapes have been manipulated by pr.

I'm not going to defend her saying she is clever but I like her because of her stupidity!
I think she is a good person at heart, I can see something through all her fakeness.
Anyway about the BBFF show is bad/trashy but still hilarious. It was probably the funniest show I've watched this week! and I loved The Simple Life!

Where did you read that? ...If I remember correctly, I remember her saying something along the lines of not minding, because she makes masses herself. I swear she was never "devistated" about it. (Then again, I wouldn't know considering I don't know the woman personally...but still. I don't remember there ever being news stories saying that other than them assuming she would be).

Yes a good person. :) I can't explain!
Even though the majority of the press show her in a very bad light...
I'm probably wrong and no good at defending my opinion so I'm not going to ramble! (see saying "probably wrong" show I have no confidence) WAIT I need to change this...
I'm no good at defending my Opinion but I think she is misrepresented in the press like a lot of people. You can say one thing and have it twisted it in another direction. I guess my problem lies in not trusting the media.. :p

I dont care what anyone says, no one knows what most celebrities are really like.
So when people say they hate her i dont understand how they can possibly back that up.
If you believe what you see on Tv, and take it for what it is, then your an idiot.
They play stereo types to make themselves more easily liked for simple minded TV watching folk.

but isnt pandering to the simple minded folks a reason to be dissliked?
you are correct in that we don't know what people are like behind closed doors, but by your logic, robert muggabe may be a nice guy, just playing up for the cameras.

not sexualy. she actualy repulses me. its like the uncanny vally thing, (in which somethign that looks close to human but is slightly wrong seems freaky and wrong) shes in some sort of sexual version so close to being attractive, yet misses, and makes me feel sick to my stomach as a result.
alan carr is bloody funny, i love the stories of his dad wanting him to be a footballer.

Caught the end of this.
Paris seems to have nothing to say.
Like in the limo, with her and that one woman - the other woman was doing all the talking, Paris was basically silent. Then the woman was like 'You nervous?' (as she wasn't talking) and she was like 'No! lol'
No personality in there.
And she has a stupid doghouse.

My favourite "lol" moment from the show was when she was in her cupboard which was like a shop and could supply a whole country clothes for a year and says something like "I can't believe I have to leave a lot of these behind but sometimes you have to make sacrifices"
I was like... :o

No.
I'm just telling the truth as I see it. I can't bear affectations and put-on personalities, and as such, dislike Jimmy Carr. He can be funny, but I wouldn't go out of my way at all to watch him. He's pretentious, and fake-dazed.

I vote we put you "up for discussion" Paris was silent because she was waiting for the other girl to speak-she didn't want to dominate the conversation and make the other girl feel even more nervous than she was.

QFT. I like them both but I prefer Alan Carr's stand-up. Jimmy Carr's better as a presenter, like on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Distraction, IMO.
Just watched first 15 mins of this.
I remembered how she represents everything I hate in women/society and it's celebrity-love.
Doesn't help that the "friend"-who-lives-with-me kept making stupid comments about indecency and who is and isn't. Hate her.

I don't see why celebrities should be considered better than anyone else. While a celebrity might be good at acting or singing. Why is someone who's equally good or better at another skill thats potentially more important than acting or singing not recognized. In fact, there are tons of celebrities who can't do shit (like the one being discussed in this thread). I know some celebrities donate money to charity and stuff, but most people in that position probably would and a lot of them surely only do to get good publicity. While I might like a song or something, I don't go around treating someone like a god just because they wrote it. While some people do deserve praise because of how much they've contributed to society (for instance people who've completely saved/changed industries), most celebrities don't fall into this category, a good number of them have very little talent and just got lucky.

people suck up to celebs, use em to better themselves. it seems like it could be an evolutionaly trait, attach yourself to some one more succesfull, maybe share their resorces, or atleast seem more appealing to potential mates.
