Upgraded VC games?

Hi.
Before the Wii was launched there was talk about some VC games being upgraded, and my question is: where did that idea go?

I'd love to see Pilotwings 64 in high resolution, full screen, better draw distance and perhaps new vehicle models:

It's up to the developers, and they'd probably put it on WiiWare if that happened.

It's definitely possible to change stuff, we got English menus in Sin & Punishment, the adverts were changed in Wave Race 64 to Wii and DS ads, Pokémon Snap got WiiConnect24 functionality, etc.

I was actually thinking about this the other day and I was wondering what happened to it as well! Like Tellyn says, there's been a few things already that have been implemented but nothing major sadly. The discouraging thing for other devs is that Nintendo seem to be happy enough to pump out VC games with no changes meaning there's been little incentive for the others to add in some extra features.
