With support for the Wii Zapper and lots of explosions a new CoD game is coming to Wii!
More soon.

Looks decent, but hasn't WW2 been flogged to death by now?
This looked pretty sweet. Both literally and figuratively. Hype +1.
Overall though, I thought this was a pretty lame E³ presentation... Too few games presented!

Fortunately, it does. (That is online. Unlockables I don't know about.)
I think bringing the franchise into WW2 is a big mistake. I'll still happily pay for it, mind.

online co-op? :O
We can but hope. Treyarch say that the Wii version will miss out on the smallest amount of content as possible (compared to Xbox and PS3), so if those consoles have co-op, it's safe to bet the Wii will too.

The footage during the conference looked surprisingly nice, especially the flamethrowers.
No ingame footage in that video, though it looks good. Nintendo should have shown a Disaster trailer in this way.

That's not Wii footage, and all of it was in game.
D_prOdigy
17-07-2008, 07:26 PM
It is not in-game, but it is straight from the in-game engine: not rendered FMVs or anything. And it is from the Wii build - the exact same trailer but from the 360/PS3 build was released weeks ago, and the technical superiority is clear.
Caris
17-07-2008, 07:40 PM
Thats what i meant, not in game as in gameplay but in engine. Like a cut scene for example. But I'm 99% sure it's not Wii footage.

Well even if you're right, what was shown at the Nintendo press conference was certainly Wii footage, and (I thought) that did look very good - which is the main thing, really.

What was shown at the Nintendo conference looked really good for a Wii title. There's a clear difference between it and the other consoles but when put in perspective, it is very clear Activision is giving it their all to ensure no compromises are made between the two versions.
With that said, I'm probably going to get the Wii version because of co-op light-gun style gameplay. That would be fun as hell to play with my Dad and my little brother.

That looks awesome. They really seem to be making a lot of effort with this one. I hope it plays well. Although I'd rather it have been modern combnat than back to WWII
Somehow I have a feeling this game doesn't support the Zapper as a separate mode like in MOHH2, but as the default playing mode. Which means, you move with the nunchuk and shoot with B button.
If true, that means there aren't a lot of buttons supported A, D-pad, plus, minus, 1 and 2 are all but unused. Leaving only the C and Z buttons for other functions.
Hope Im wrong though.
M-PG71C
27-07-2008, 04:08 PM
I don't think so IMJ. I've been lurking around on the official CoD forums from Activision and there are numerious official sources on the forum from developer interviews that explicitly state that the two versions are virtually the same sans technological restrictions. And even then they would push it to its absolute limits.
If I been reading right, the Zapper co-op mode is a feature exclusive to the Wii much like MoHH2. It has a single player mode, Zapper mode, and online.
I think the only real limitations we can expect are graphics (duh) and potential online gameplay modes being held back for the same reasons.

Best graphics on Wii so far?
Well... I believe IGN stated that CoD:WoW's graphics were not as tecnhically endowed as The Conduit's Quantum 3 shenannigans. Then again, we must consider:
a) Call of Duty may well have more going on on-screen for more of the time.
b) Many people are making it their mission in life to hate The Conduit's general visual style.

To be fair, if it's technichally endowed or not is a moot point, what matters is how it looks, techniques, bells and whistles are a means to an end.
The game looks good though, although those textures need work.

Doesn't look too bad. Guy playing it was a bit stupid. Stop messing about with the flame thrower and shoot something! And then when he did start 'shooting' he was constantly ducking and diving. It's not dodgeball. Get on with it. Go in all guns blazing. That's how you do it :heh:

I think this game should get our support simply because the developer is trying, they're bringing a massive next gen (graphically) game to the Wii and making an effort with it. I just wish they'd done the same with COD4 as I'm not really turned on by WW2 shooters and there are FAR too many of them.

Oh I played COD4 on veteran. Damn hard. Yet I still maintained my run and gun attitude on it for the most part. Argh! I need to know exactly how gimped the Wii version's online mode will be before I commit myself to this. Dug up an IGN preview from a couple of weeks ago; this is the current situation:
Yes
- 8 players (same as 360/PS3)
- Ranks
- Challenges
- Create-a-class
- "Multiple modes"
No
- Voice Chat
- Vehicles :(
Not quite clear yet
- How many modes exactly?
- Perks
It may well boil down to that last one for me. It transformed Call of Duty 4 to the next level. Sucks total ass about the vehicles. Are we really still in the days where core gameplay mechanics are ripped from Wii versions of games? That can't be down to processing power, can it?
dazzybee
19-10-2008, 06:54 PM
Vehicles will be shit!
As for other things, fact of the matter is, the control on Wii for FPS is more important than anything else!! Every FPS I play on my PS3/360 I just wish I was playing with the wiimote! So if the Wii version is shit, I just won't get any version!
D_prOdigy
19-10-2008, 07:17 PM
I'm not so sure. Of course, Wii Remote controls are fantastic, but they're pretty redundant if there's no proper meat to the game to give a suitable incentive to play for more than a couple of weeks.
Playing Call of Duty 4 with Wii Remote controls would be totally different to Call of Duty 4 being brought over to Wii. Think about it, we know it in our realistic minds to be true.
dazzybee
19-10-2008, 07:45 PM
Obviously depends on the port. But a slightly dumbed down version of the game with wiimote controls would be a better game in my opinion!
I prefer MoH: Heroes 2 more than primailry most PS3/360 shooters down to how amazing the controls are!
And with this game, I can't see the Wii version lacking too much to be honest.
DazzeL
19-10-2008, 10:49 PM
On the vehicles front I really wouldn't worry. CoD's not battlefield and doesn't do vehicles well at all - they were fairly poor in Call of Duty: United Offensive on PC especially.
Zechs Merquise
20-10-2008, 07:19 AM
I too am not bothered about the vehicle sections, I've never been a fan of them showing up in FPS games - not even in Halo actually, they just never feel right and always act like dodge 'ems!
Fierce_LiNk
20-10-2008, 10:11 PM
I think if you use them right, they can be fun, and possibly a huge part in the game. But, with vehicles, it just ends up being "who can be the first to get to one the quickest" or something.

It's out on the 11th in the US, so I'm banking on a IGN review for the Wii game sometime next week. Providing the online is not a total disaster - and a disaster would constitute as terrible lag problems/disconnection issues - I will plump for the Wii version.
If by some unfortunate turn of events the Wii version turns out like something along the lines of Quantum of Solace, I'll finally have an excuse to hunt down Medal of Honour: Heroes 2 :D

In Canada we have the ESRB system which goes 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 18. And all stores will ID you if you buy something 17. We really need a 15 rating over here I think. Though since its 15 pretty much everywhere else, I might be able to make a convincing argument. Especially since the UK generally has a stricter rating system.

I guess the other problem is there was this kid in Ontario (Canadian Province) who apparently was playing CoD:4 all night long on his 360 all the time and was often chatting with someone who his parents assumed was a pedophile. And so the parents took the 360 away and the kid ran away, they found his bike in a ditch a few days after and just last week they found his body out in the woods somewhere (though for now the police are convinced he wasn't murdered and just died of the cold). And now the media are blaming the game and everything, and my mom's been following the story quite a bit, and since this game is part of the CoD brand, my chances aren't really as good. But I think it still might be worth a try. Only another year and a few months until I'm 17 though anyway.

If its like the PS3 version (which I think it is) Then there is a capture the flag mode. But better than that is the awesome 'War' mode and 'Search and Destroy'. As for the map thing, there is an option to play some game types in 'Hardcore', this turns off the map completely, makes bullets more deadly, puts friendly fire ON, and takes away the aiming reticule.

From Nintendo Voice Chat:
Bozon:
- Single Player is actually really fun. Lotta action going on on-screen
- Controls not perfect. Doesn't touch MoH:H2 or The Conduit (but presumably better than Call Of Duty 3 - D_prOd)
- Multiplayer is very fun
- 16 player max (8 v 8) - same as PS3/360 version
- No Headquaters, Conquest or Capture The Flag at all. Probably because they get quite complex and use vehicles (Wii version doesn't have vehicles)
- No mention of Nazi Zombie mode (is that one of the above? - D_prOd)
- Couple of the larger maps may be absent from Wii version, though he's not too sure
- Runs incredibly smoothly, despite being skeptical. Had one problem where shooting a close-up enemy wouldn't actually hit 99% of the time. It's the Mario Kart symptom; shows everything running totally lag free, but if a player doesn't have too strong a connection, it's gonna seem weird and disfunctional.
- Create a Class, etc gonna add an absolute tonne of longevity
- All round, probably the strongest multiplayer Wii game.
- Review tomorrow
My order is firmly sticking. Can't wait!

Just played a little about 20 min, but didn't really like it. The controls work, but take some experimenting to get the sensitivity down (nothin unusual though, still work better than dual analog), but it feels weird (but works fine) when using the sights, which I suppose is why there's an option to use the analogue. What really bothered me was that sometimes shot seemed to just... get lost in between. But I'm kinda tired and was playing on a small TV, which with all the camouflage and whatnot makes it hard.
Graphics aren't pushing the Wii by any means, but looks better than usual and lots of action going on no doubt. Also, kiefer sutherlend as a VA= win (although he's not very good, but his voice is still awesome)

Sounds very positive, surprised at the score in comparison to the text. Also, the next gen versions got 9.2 and seems to have a lot more content..... but I know more people with Wiis, cheaper and I love FPS controls...
Who's getting it and when? I was planning on getting it for xmas but I may get it this weekend (bringing my weekend gaming budget to £250....in a WEEKEND!!!) if a few people are up for a bit of deathmatching!!

Good stuff! We had some good games on Medal of Honour :D Isn't that how you found this site? I set up a room called N-Europe :D
Depedning on reviews I may get both versions; but the PS3 version will have to offer a much better experience; 2 of my housemates are getting 360 version so I can play that.....we'll see......
Yeah it was while playing MoH that I came across your room callled 'N-Europe' so curiosity got the better of me....

No games - other than Resistance and MGS - is all about the PS3. If I was gonna get this on any other system it would the 360 or the PC. 360 because they have the best online system, and the PC because mouse/keyboard rocks for FPS games.

I haven't read all the review yet, but the score was pretty much what I was expecting. Real shame about the lack of online modes (though I was always skeptical). Having said that, deathmatches are probably what I'd be on most of time anyway. Come to think of it, BWii's online wasn't exactly fleshy (and it was only 1 v 1) and it still managed to steal my life everyday for about six months. Controls don't worry me. I assume they're tighter than CoD 3, and I was absolutely fine with that (though bugs and slowdown came close to ruining it, unfortunately). Oh, and I even got used to Red Steel's controls pretty quick :heh:
Quick update on my order from Play.com. I checked earlier and it said it had declined my card. Gee, nice of them to NOT send me an e-mail about it. Basically, the pre-saved card details on the account that I used was from an older Solo card, so I just changed it and it's being processed now. Hopefully it'll go through today and I can get it by Friday. Then I'll set up some FC swapping over the weekend.

The biggest myth the world has ever seen, what advantages does the 360s online service have over the PS3? I have one advantage for PS3......it's free! I have both and I get ALL crossplatforming games on PS3!

lol no games. The only games worth mentioning that Xbox has that PS3 does not is Halo (meh) and Gears (awesome, gonna buy an Xbox just for Gears 2). I agree the Xbox does have a better online system, but the PS3 is catching up.....fast.

I just bought it...
In a few words the game is awesome!
It's a class above CoD3.The graphics are marvelous with great lighting and stable 30fps.The stages are very big and epic and the overall package is very good.I played 2-3 online matches and I can confirm that there is absolutely no lag and the options are very detailed.
All in all very very good game and for every FPS fan this is an instant buy.
My only gripe at the moment is the gigantic save file:63 non copiable blocks!

Major gripe that one, if publishers continue to make saves non-copiable, we may just have yet another, more serious storage issue. Link it to the Wii system number, sure, but let us copy it!

Multiplayer is nice, but deathmatch only. Challenges, perks, weapons, levels and leaderboards are in, though co-op campaign, objective modes, vehicles, and zombie mode aren't. Online runs well though.
No Zombie mode in the Wii version - I'm gutted.

Up theirs indeed. I can understand that getting the COD4 engine to run on Wii is a big accomplishment, but surely that little extra could be added.
It is what tips the scale towards a big no no to me, until I see it discounted somewhere.

But analogue controls for shooters is le suck.
So having your balls in their mouths will only make the experience... well... erhm... I guess that would depend on one's preferences, really... But anyway, it would be overkill.

I was actually planning on getting the Wii version but I'm not going to now. It's still just too stripped down tbh so I'll be getting the PC version. It's just shocking how they didn't include Search and Destroy online. It's like the main mode, most of us grew out of investing serious time into TDM (apart from in say Quake, UT, Painkiller) a long time ago. Too basic for anything but the occasional blast.

Just played quite a bit of it. Firstly, controls work absolutely fine, even if it takes a bit of getting used to. You can't map buttons, but there are a wide range of default options. I chose the one closest in vein to CoD3 Wii. Similarly, you can't customise the bounding box by hand (ie, MoH), but you can still choose options for camera response, camera turning speed, bounding box size, etc like "Slow", "Medium", "Fast", "Insane". You should find one that suits you.
Unlike CoD3, missions are less linear and a lot more open-end. I only got about half way through the second level but I died several times. Having dozens of Japanese soldiers coming at you from all angles makes the game a lot harder than 3 (although you can select one of four difficulty settings at the start; I'm on second-to-easiest). One little niggle I have with this over CoD3 is grenades. In CoD3, using grenades and tossing them back was fluid, and if you got killed by one; it was your fault. The grenade indicator in WaW is devilishly subtle, and I died a couple of times from grenades that I didn't even notice. There's also no reticule when you throw them, making it hard to judge where they'll actually go. Hopefully, I'll get used to the grenade system with time.
About the graphics. Don't let low-quality Youtube videos deceive you: the game looks superb. Character models clearly weren't the focus here (but still a ood step-up from CoD3) and I've seen a couple of occasions in the campaign where we've had flying Japs. However, landscapes stretch far with awesome lighting and pretty detailed environments. It won't show at first, mainly because the first level is set at night, but trust me, the game looks lucious. CoD:WaW on Wii at 480p is fairly comparable to CoD3 360 on a SDTV.
And lastly, and perhaps most importantly is the multiplayer. Let's get this out the way first: the Wii version is missing a fair few modes compared to the other games. Here, you'll only find Bootcamp, Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Veterans and basically a more hardcore version of Deathmatch (which I've not unlocked yet). However, while it's disappointing modes aren't as spread out, it's clear Treyarch have built up as far as they can with what's there. There's full Create a Class, a full set of Perks, Challenges and Leaderboards (but I don't think onlike leaderboards), and getting into a game is swift and easy. To be honest, I don't know if there are any maps absent, but I never played the same one twice in the handful of games I had. No-one ever lagged about, and I never shot straight through flesh.
So make your own decision from that if you will. It'll be nice to get online with you nutters, though.
(Oh, and quick bragging rights: I came top on every match I was on, and on my second game, I got over a 20 streak kill spree ;) )

Not at all, and it's exactly the same for the 360/PS3 version. 4 v 4 games are perfect the map sizes. Any more would just make matches descend into chaos and dieing seconds after respawning.
I read it was 16- but don't quote me.
I did misquote Bozon on the previous page and put 8 v 8 matches. I was thinking too much of The Conduit which will have 16 players. CoD is a max of 8 players.

Ah, I've still got it. There I was thinking there's no point in sniping, but one of the maps is perfect for it on Free-For-All. I kept lay-down in an open train carridge throught the whole game, picking of opponents in the distance with my Springfield w/ scope. Thanks to the dog summon you get after a 7-kill streak, I ended up with a 20 kill streak by the end of the game. Best part was, I only died twice compared to everyone else who was well into double figures :D

1. Online, is there anyway to JOIN a friends room or must they add you into it? Because say I go online and my friend is already playing, he may not know I'm about and not add me!! If I could just join him that would be great!!
2. Is there anyway to decide the TEAMS in TDM? Or is it random?
3. When it puts you in matches does it put you with people who have similar stats?

My biggest problem with this is the ludicrous single player missions, the grenade indicator is soooo easy to miss you'll die many many times and it'll end up getting very frustrating. I would love to see someone clocking this game on the hardest difficulty - I found it literally impossible and not down to me just being rubbish, but down to the game being too frustrating and hard on higher settings.
Please don't take this criticsm and think I'm a piss poor gamer, I have 3 stars and 9999 on Mario Kart, completed everything on 007 on Quantum of Solace, all 120 stars on Mario Galaxy, have all S ranks on Battalion Wars (bar the last mission) and usually clock everything on highest difficulty - but this is just too much.

My Call of Duty: World at War Review
We've been fighting World War II for a long time... a very long time. In fact I first started fighting World War II as William 'B.J.' Blazkowicz back on the SNES in the port of Wolfenstein 3D. In fact that was the first FPS I played and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but things have moved on. Fourteen years have passed since I first entered castle Wolfenstein, and since then we've seen dozens, if not more, FPSs set in WWII.
So here comes the holiday season and what have we got, well the latest installment of Call of Duty franchise. After the series departed the well trodden battlefields of WWII to bring us Modern Warfare, developers Treyarch have decided to go back to WWII again. This time they claim to offer a different perspective - and to a degree they have. We find the games missions split between the American/Japanese conflict of the Pacific and the Russian/German conflict of the Eastern Front.
This at first may seem like an odd decision, instead of one fluid campaign you're changing between two at regular intervals. Well I can assure you it works - and is presented very well, in fact this is one of the best presented games I have played and definitely the most gritty and well put together WWII game to date. The game is certainly aimed at the mature audience – it’s brutal. You’ll see acts of torture, a total lack of compassion from the Russian forces and you’ll really feel like you’re up to your knees in a hellish conflict.
Treyarch have also put together beautiful stills, wonderful and fluid artistic intros and mixed both with real WWII video footage. Overall the package is AAA and you can see a lot of effort has been put into it with more then enough attention to detail throughout. The production values weren't just spent on a flashy intro and outro - but hold up through the entire game giving a gritty and cinematic feel between levels.
The high production values don't end with the pre and post level cinematic sequences - the graphics are excellent. Make no mistake this is one good looking game. The detail is superb, there is plenty going on and it will make you wish all developers put this much effort into their Wii games. The frame rate is solid and things move along nicely even when you're in the middle of an epic battle. The level of detail on the combatants is high, as is the level of the detail on the surroundings.
What really makes this game stand out is the great particle and smoke effects. In some levels you’ll see burning embers floating by and smoke from grenades and dynamic lighting all play their part in making this an immersive experience. When air strikes hit and when things go bang you’ll know about it, the flamethrower also looks great. If you know any Wii doubters, get them to play this and if they don’t change their mind they’re either mad or blind!
But what is a pretty game without good fluid game play? Well you needn’t worry about that either – this plays well, very well. Again the Wii delivers a premier FPS control scheme which is fast, fluid and as close to point and click accuracy as you’ll ever get on a home console. The controls are great, and there is a high level of customization where you can alter the look speed, the turning speed and the size of the bounding box.
The one thing you can’t do is button map – there are several control set ups but you can’t completely customize which button does what. I don’t think this hurts the experience at all, but I’m sure some will grumble. One thing that won’t raise grumbles is the option to turn off gesture controls – so if you want to flail your arms around to throw a grenade you can, but if you want to tap a button to do it that’s cool as well. Finally a developer has understood that a different waggle for every gesture possible might not appeal to us all – full marks for Treyarch on that one.
The missions themselves are quite varied, some have you fighting in large open battles in fields, some have you crawling through trench systems burning out ‘Tojo’ and others have you fighting house to house in a burnt out Berlin. You’ll find yourself using multiple weapons which all handle very differently, although I would have liked them to have felt a bit meatier, I found some of the large heavier weapons to feel slightly feathery. You also have access to grenades – and this is one of the games biggest problems.
Now throwing grenades is great, on the control scheme I use it is plus or minus depending on which type of grenade you’re throwing. However having grenades thrown at you is one of the most irritating things to ever happen in a game – a ‘grenade indicator’ will pop up on screen and you can either choose to run or to throw the grenade back. Now that’s fine, but firstly the grenade indicator is not very clear at all and secondly you have very little time to throw them back. This all leads to many unnecessary deaths which can be very frustrating and really breaks up the fluidity of the missions. I thought I’d get used it in time, but by the last few missions I was still missing it and it was still irritating the hell out of me.
The game offers quite a challenge, with 15 missions in the campaign mode. Each mission plays differently and you can attempt them on one of four different difficulty settings. I found the game fun and challenging on lower difficulty settings, but irritating and too difficult on the hardest where you would simply find yourself being torn to shreds as soon as you left cover. Overall though you’ll have a fun time on campaign mode and it will keep you busy for a while depending on which level you play it on.
Once you’ve finished campaign mode you’ll find yourself with a LOT left to do. The multiplayer mode is HUGE and in many ways far more comprehensive than anything seen before on the Wii – however this too is sadly not without its faults. The game has two core modes, Free For All (a basic 8 player death match) and Team Death Match (a four on four mode). It also has a Boot Camp, which is Team Death Match for players ranked level 7 and under, a Hardcore Team Death Match (which is a team game with reduced HUD display and is unlocked at level 18) and a prestige mode which I haven’t unlocked yet.
Now all that’s pretty self explanatory – but what are these levels? Well when you kill someone you gain experience points which level up your profile. As your level rises you gain access to new weapons, new add-ons (silencers, sights, double magazines) for your weapons and perks. Perks are basically skills which you unlock, they range from added health and speedier running to increased accuracy and bullets that shoot through cover. During the matches themselves you are also given in game perks (a spy plane which allows you to see your enemies position, artillery barrages and attack dogs) for having long killing sprees – another great touch. This makes playing multiplayer far more compelling and not just about racking up endless kills.
The other great thing with the unlockable weapons is the challenges that you can complete with each gun. These will gain you valuable experience points and really test your skills with each weapon. There are quite a few maps and all of them seem to provide different ways to play, from the long ranged battles of Cliffside to the room clearances of Upheaval, which again extends the appeal of this title. The game is as laggy as your connection. It’s quite helpful then that when you tap ‘2’ it brings up a screen with your score and your connection strength. Playing with a full four bars is perfect, with three is great, with two it’s OK but with one it’s pointless. I’ve played on four bars, and it provides a great experience and one that won’t disappoint.
The main fault in the online mode is the lack of capture the flag, I spent hours on Medal of Honor Heroes 2 in that mode on the Village map, it was superb. The lack of this basic and very compelling mode is quite irritating, as is the lack of customization of your characters appearance. Unlike in MOHH2 you don’t pick your character or choose the team you play on, instead you are dumped into a random skin on a random team on a random map. It would have been nice to choose your character’s appearance in the customization section, again not a deal breaker but a definite niggle.
So whilst the online is probably the best on the Wii for the leveling up and sheer number of customizable weapons and perks as well as great online leader boards and rankings, it lets itself down by dropping important modes. Also whilst the eight player match limit is not an issue at all, and you’re never left feeling alone (as nearly every match I’ve been in has had 8 players and you can always find a match) it’s odd that the limit is just eight when MOHH2 had 32 and that came out ages ago. Also, it has to be said that although the frame rate in COD:WAW is good, it’s not as high as the frame rate in MOHH2.
So all in all, which game holds the crown for the best online Wii FPS? Honestly, if you’re an FPS fan get both. They both are great and both have different strengths and weaknesses. But one thing is for sure, COD:WAW won’t disappoint you.
Final Comment
This game is great, it’s got wonderful graphics, tight and customizable controls and is fast and fluid. It has a great cinematic single player game which is unrivalled among Wii FPS games for its presentation and gritty game play where you really feel like you’re in the middle of a war. The online modes are fun and play very well, they also offer the incentives to carry on playing and to develop your character and unlock new challenges and new weapons and perks. I must commend Treyarch for putting this much effort into a Wii title and showing just what can be done and that a Wii game can turn heads with its graphical presentation. If you’re a core gamer and an FPS fan you won’t want to miss COD:WAW this Christmas and thanks to it’s comprehensive online modes you’ll be playing it well into the new year. The only thing is, some of us will be left asking the question: Why, after going so far bringing us a great online system, did Treyarch leave out some simple yet important modes that we’ve all been enjoying in MOHH2 for well over a year now and with over 30 other people? Oh and one other thing, can we put WWII to bed now and move on?
Overall: 8.6 out of 10

I picked this up a couple of days ago, I have it on the PS3 and really enjoy it. So thought I would see what it is like with the Wii controls. I honestly thought this would be great with the WiiMote/Nunchuck combo.......its not. I don't like it. I cannot get anywhere near the same amount of control as I can on the sixxaxis. Not just the turning speed, but the way you have to move your hand down the Wii remote to get to the D pad, its clumsy. Its ok in single player, because the AI is shit. But multiplayer is when it really gets on my tits. Oh well, just to cheer me up, I bought World of Goo. Now that is a fantastic game.

Well, I honestly think the guys you're playing against on multiplayer are using a wiimote too. It's not like they're using a sixaxis against your wiimote, is it? So if you're getting owned, they can use it and you can't, at least for now. ;)

I'm not getting owned :heh: I am as good as anybody I have met online so far. I suppose I was saying (in a roundabout sort of way) that I prefer the dual analogue sticks to the WiiMote in this game.

Come play me! I'll own you :) Plus the wii-mote is ten times more accurate and speedy than dual analog. Since playing Wii FPS games I simply don;t have as much fun with dual analog as it's so imprecise.

You probably would own me, the same as I would own you on the PS3/360 version. Most Wii FPS games are more accurate and speedy with a Wiimote compared to dual analogue. But not this game. I am much more precise with the sixaxis than a Wiimote in WaW. Whether that is just me or not i do not know. Its still a fantastic game, we should get a game together with a few others. Its just a shame there is no Search & Destroy, because that is the best game mode ever.

I'll be up for a game. Although I like the controls, it isn't as good as MoH or MP3; I still like them though.
MAT, where do you work in Donny?

Call of Duty: World at War has allegedly sold 970,000 worldwide on Wii, with over 50% of Wii players taking the game online.

Excellent news.
I must admit to only recently renting this. I had rather low expectations of the game despite the positive reviews. However, i've been pleasantly surprised.
Hopefully, Infinity Ward will be producing a Wii version of Modern Warefare 2.

Is this actually any good, does it suffer horrible slowdown like COD 3 or not. The graphics also look horrendous
