Howdy all,

Do you visit any music websites? Which are the best ones (ie: most informative/intelligent/well written) for news, reviews and suchlike?

Ideally post sites with a focus on rock music, but others are welcome.

pitchforkmedia.com is like the definitive indie website, but i find them too "scene" and too obsessed with looking cool. stylusmagazine.com and popmatters.com are great websites, and stereogum.com is a fun indie blog that's worth a look. try metacritic aswell, it links to several different websites' reviews for any labum and comes up with an average score which is usually quite reliable.

http://www.totalrock.com/ is perhaps the best for Rock music.
As Rizz mentioned, www.metal-archives.com is a very helpful database if you're looking for a certain metal band.
http://www.allmusic.com/ is also meant to be rather good.
