I want to get on with my band, its now or never right? so can you recomend any software, adapters and general whatnot to record music, upload and mix/edit it? many thanks guys

a lot of schools have it, and its very good. I had to use it in GCSE/A level music work, and you can plug in guitars etc, and add certain things to it, its got shit loads to do on it, and can make some really good stuff on it.

Ableton Live is pretty good for mixing all your stuff together.
It's like Acid Pro.......but better.

Garageband, if you've got access to a mac. There's adaptors for keyboards, guitars, mics and so on.

I absolutely love Audacity, but don't know if it'd suit your needs that well. It's open source thus free.

Im with dieter, but only because its the only music program i have used..
