I'm with you there. Few outside the immediate Warhammer fraternity seem to know about it, but it's easily one of the best RTS's made in the last decade.

This be hot shit. I also read somewhere that you can personalise your commanders command squad in the campaign mode, which will be a Mass Effect esque non-linear mission job.

I bought the Dawn of War boxset thingy with all the expansions last week, it should arrive tomorrow. I've played the main DOW previously but none of the expansions, it satisfies my inner geek no end. The 2nd one looks the shit but I have no doubt my PC would melt just looking at the DVD let alone trying to run it.

I mean, they are only including the three factions? No new units/factions not seen in previous games?

Those are the only factions they've shown so far. It's not due out until spring next year, so I imagine they'll be unveiling stuff up until release. Destructable environments look good too.

Orks, Marines, Eldar and Tyranids. Presumably, Chaos and The Guard will make an appearance too.

I´ve been wondering, after nids is there anything new they can add as a faction?

not that I know of.

I'd like to see them try sub factions. In the case of marines, Blood Angels would get their beserker marines and dark angels would have Deathwing (super elite) Terminators. Chaos could have different units for the 4 chaos gods. stuff like that. I'm not sure what Eldar would get but the guard have hundreds of thousands of worlds, most of which have their own tactics and such. I'm sure they could do a few of those.

There are quite a few units they could add in that weren't in the first DoW for each faction, or were recently introduced into the tabletop game - psychic Ork units for example.

Also, I was never sure why Landspeeders never got weapon options. That, please. And those smaller wraith droids the eldar use.

I remember reading a review of the original DoW in an issue of PC Gamer I purchased at random some time back, and if memory serves, Killer Kans eat Marines, don't they?

I've thought about getting the original + expansions for a while, I just have doubts over my laptop's capabilities...

Downloaded it, but due to new sucking at the game I'm waiting till my friend is available to play with so I don't make a fool of myself.

Been trying the beta today. The game is good but it crashes a lot (3 times in 3 hours!) and the matchmaking doesn't seem to take in to account lag (getting paired up with people from the other side of the world and then being kicked for being laggy = not fun).

Should be good, but they've got some kinks to iron out. I'll pick it up in the summer :)

I´m loving the beta but my only problems with it is the matchmaking (being matched up with someone 5 ranks above you or 5 ranks below you end up in one sided games) and after the last patch I hate Tyranids.
