Under our new forum we will maintain the policy that signatures should not have a file size that is larger than 50kb. An easy way to check the file size of images is to right click on the image file and select "(Image) Properties" (the title will depend on the browser you use) .
Signatures that break the rules will be removed by moderators or admins without warnings. They will be replaced by a description of what was wrong with them previously. If your sig is removed amend it, do not send PMs to staff complaining.
Signatures
Signatures should be no larger than 600 pixels (width) by 150 pixels (height). A guide to how big this is can be seen below.

(image will be updated)
Text in signatures cannot be greater than size 3 font (VB sized font and not HTML sized font) and can not be more then 2 lines long (more allowed if no pic).
No flash or php sigs are allowed.
No offensive material of any sort (this includes vulgar and offensive language, pornographic images and anything else that is not 'decent') is permitted in either image or writing form.
Signature rule changes regarding spoiler tags
Spoiler boxes are not to be used to supercede the size restrictions on signature images. They are also not to be used to put YouTube videos in your sigs. However you may use them for text, links, wii/ds codes, psn ids, gamercards and similar things.
Since spoiler tags take up roughly 25-30px of height, do not have more than one in your signature (although you could include more inside each other).
Avatars
Avatar limits have been increased to 125 x 125 pixels as a maximum. You can still use your own customised avatars, but the same rules on offensive materials apply. Avatars automatically are given a 1 pixel black border (although in future the colour may change dependant on the scheme).Remember, avatar file sizes count towards the total file size, so check those sizes!
Combined Avatar and Signature File Size should not exceed 100kb.
Profile Pictures
Profile Pictures are a new feature with vBulletin (new over Xsorbit that is). It is basically a picture that members can see when viewing your profile. The maximum size is 100x100 pixels and can be anything you wish, but also falls under the previous signature and avatar rules of what kind of material is not acceptable.
Including Images in Signature
Members frequently ask how they can get the signatures they or others have made. It can be a bit confusing at first but it is rather simple. To edit your signature follow these steps:
1. Open up the 'User CP' found toward the top of the page, just under the header image.
2. Go to 'Edit Signature'
3. From here you can enter the signature of your dreams (as long as it obides by the rules mentioned above) using the edit box. It is similar to that of posts, so it should be straightforward.
You can use the buttons to automatically enter the code, so if you click the http://www.revo-europe.com/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif button it will ask you to enter the URL. When you do so and click OK it will automatically put the formatted text in for you. The same process applies for changing text size, colour and alignment etc.
A common signature is just basically an image, so the code is normally something like this:
http://www.yourserver.com/yourpicture.jpg
If you have any questions feel free to ask a member of staff through a PM, please do not post on the boards. Thanks for your understanding.
