lol what BS. I don't beleive a single word he said. And the fact that you have to stand up and he was on a huge stage makes the gameplay experience suck. Who the hell has space like a stage? who wants to stand when your playing games at 2 in the morning?
Also he posted this news yesturday which is when Shiggy stated he wants to elminate TV's and didn't want to talk more about his idea. He's clearly assuming shiggy's no tv plan is what the revolution will do. He's so full of crap.

seriousgamer said he had inside news about the Revolution Controller before the TSG unveiling. All his predictions turned out to be false, and he turned against Nintendo saying the pad is crap!!!
And now he is back, saying he has inside knowledge again!! what an fool!! Anybody that believes him is a fool too!!
Thanks for the post nicolasmasset, I needed a good laugh!!!

Very nice read, though there isnt really any proof of him having been at Nintendo.
I do think that a lot of the negativety conserning the Revolution, is caused by peoples lack of experience with the Revolution. They havent touched it, or played any games on it. So therefore they cannot know what it feels like to play with it.

Anyhow back to business. There I was at Nintendo's headquarters looking at a stage with the Revolution on it talking to Reggie. What a cool guy he is by the way. One of the questions I had was WHY IN THE HELL ME?!
I will give him one thing...He is a good storyteller.

Yeah, it's funny, Nintendo are just picking random guys off the internet to test the Revolution.
They flew me out to Kyoto and gave me a demo of it too! Obviously I can't disclose too much info about it because of the NDA's etc but here's what I can say:
It involved the nunchuck set up, the console itself and an injection of some sort of serum into my neck. Somehow by magic I felt transported into a magical place and was at war with none other than Shigeru Miyamoto himself!
We were running about with medievil weapons fighting each other, I managed to kill him with a crossbow...
After I came too (the serum had worn off) we had tea and biscuits and then I flew home... but why me?!
WHAT A TOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will give him one thing...He is a good storyteller. No he isn't. :hmm:

I'm not sure if he's hoping his "fans" seriously believe all of that, or if he's making an ironic comment about Miyamoto's imagination and Nintendo's rabid secrecy.

It is not hard to tell that he only tells those "stories" to make money. Gamehelix, Playbomb, Google Ads, .... but there are always stupid people who will believe. Idiots can be found nearly everywhere.

i havent read it....because WHATS THE POINT IN READING IT its a bunch of lies and this SG007 thinks people will believe anything...he must be a retard that has nothing better to do then write a page about what he had wished he had done wtf
The Peeps
02-11-2005, 02:13 PM
If he honestly wanted that to be read as a joke then he should state it somewhere on that page because at the moment he looks like an arrogant tw*t. When he's proven wrong it'll be funny to see if he says 'haha I was only joking'.

Why in the hell me?
Because your just a normal gamer.
So, they just happen to find a Nintendo maniac with a huge blog spot on his site to come play Revolution.
I doubt that, but if its true, Nintendo have made a BIG mistake. What mistake is that? The Mistake that they are suppose to be gaining a new audience, they should of chosen some one who's never played a video game in their life.
Thats the true test, Nintendo to choose some one who sticks by their judgement no matter what? No way, they need an opinion from a new player.

Well it seems to be back up now. As for SG, I agree he (aming other so-called insiders) give bloggers a bad name. Like I said this guy obviasly has a couple of problems. Anyone who calls themselves the king of gamers needs to have some form of reality check. I suggest a spade to te head... Who agrees?
Attention addict, no doubt.

Well...I doubt they'd have all these executives present too, I mean surely they have other people for that. Also the guy wont even reveal his name..but if hes so cool and the man, why would he hide it?
T_T it also ticks me off that he says he cant tell anything about it, and then goes ahead and tell anyway. This is exactly why they dont let in random people at them big meetings, they dont know how to keep their mouth shut...
Plus just about what everone else said that was negative n_n

That's essentially my reasoning. The only is that I refuse to read it because it is a blog. Never trust a blog, nevertheless Seriousgamer007.

Heheh, well thanks Shyguy, but the problem is most people think it's a pool full of rumours, nothing more. It couldn't be further removed from the truth. Blogs that spread nonsense only reinforce the wrong pre-conceptions people have about blogs. If I had a rupee every time someone said 'I dont read that cuz it's from teh blog!!!11' I would be a very rich little fairyboy.
Anyway, an editor of our site came up with an idea to give good blogs some positive place in the spotlight. I'll let you guys @ revo europe know when the time is right. It's about time some blogs got some positive attention. It's a voluntairy way of journalism and an independent one and in my opinion it should be applauded.
If the blog in question isn't full of it like SG007's, ofcourse ;)

Generally when people are looking for news, they'll go to an entertainment news site like IGN, not a blog. There are some blogs by credible people like Kojima who actually generate the news for the news sites, but when people like Seriousgamer007 create their bullshit, they give blogs a bad name. However some things by trsuted sites like IGN - if they were to put up a blog or updated webpage while at an event like E3 (they did), it's credible news and obviously hasn't been made up as other sites will begin reporting it too. When some standalone dipshit like SG007 starts making up garbage claiming to be something he's not, and riling up people, it pisses me off. If the news isn't directly from a news site, an interview, a published magazine, etc, it's probably not credible.

You are right about that yes, although sometimes blogs have the news up before some major sites since they can have acces too to the official press websites from companies.
Again, I take my blog as example because we have acces to press sites like Namco's and Nintendo's too. IGN only updates once a day, so when I get the info from the site first, we're ahead of IGN.
Not that it really matters, I am still a firm believer that well written articles are more important - since news is everywhere on the Internet, it's already a market that's overloaded and you cannot stand out with only news on your site.
Anyway I'm drifting away from the subject here. SeriousGamer. Laughable.

05-11-2005, 12:53 PM
Well the thing with saying that blogs shouldn't bother with news is, in my oppinion, not right. Using that logic any other site that posts news (including revo-europe) would not be needed since the bigger sites would have it first. After spending way to much time on revo-europe and the like, I can tell you I get the same amount of news from this site (and other smaller sites) than I do the two big one's.

It seems most people are not aware that the vast majority of web ads only generate revenue for the website if the link is clicked, nowadays. The old "impressions" payment, where people were paid for every time the ad was loaded on someone's browser, are long gone because the business model was not valid. That means it's OK for people to visit SeriousGamers site as long as they don't click on the links, I think it even said that in his entry, that he wanted people to click on them.
